I think I have been doing it wrong for a long LOOOOONG time... pulling the wheel bearing nut off, and leaving the drum attached to the wheel...LOL... That is actually logical and it never once crossed my mind to do that.. I am smarter then I was 12 minutes ago.. Thank you.

I'm not a mechanic expert, especially about american trucks, but in my country I never seen a piece like this 0:24 on trucks or trailers wheels that contains oil.
    How is it called?
And are there other way/systems to lubricate the axle that maybe I missed when watching a truck axle?

You ever seen one of these with the "compliant" tie rod assembly? Such cheap garbage, where I used to work we got a triaxle with the same Hendrickson setup but with the compliant tie rod bar - basically just a thin piece of flat bar with 2 eyes on the end and a bolt that ran through the eye and the knuckle. You could grab one wheel and shake it and the whole bar would flex around. Problem was the knuckle was still cast with the cone-shaped hole for a traditional tie rod end, and the bolt of course was straight - it would always loosen up and eventually wore the end of the knuckle into an oval LOL. Ended up having to replace the whole knuckle and decided to put a traditional tie rod bar in. Had to replace the stabilizers too as the ones for the compliant tie rod bar weren't spring loaded and the engineer at Hendrickson I talked to recommended I change to those. Supposedly now the knuckle castings for the compliant tie-rod end have a straight hole instead of tapered so the bolt can't wiggle around. What a dumb design, all to save what, 50lbs?

Привет. Народ а почему бы вам компрессор не вынести на улицу что бы шума не было. Или сделать для него помещение что бы заглушало его работу.
