I just stumbled over your channel. I kind of found out about this game just a few weeks ago and somehow got obsessed with this peace of art. The lore is extremely well build so i just have one advice: Discover as much as possible and read as much as possible to understand exactly what's going on. I hope you'll have a blast with this game, just like i did. Have fun, i'm looking forward to see how you tackle the different tasks and sometimes hard choices. I'am all here for it🎉
Seems like a great playthrough is coming! I always appreciate people who pay attention to the lore and actually talk to the NPCs to learn about the world. The dialogue and relationships between characters are the best part of these games!
Very true. Ever since I played Mass Effect (around 10 years ago for the first time) this game never let me go again. It is part of me .. I love to think about the lore, the story and well, stuff I cannot mention yet because of spoilers.. But the whole world building of the mass effect universe is so wonderful. And the characters that you meet in all 3 games.. BioWare at its best. I am especially a fan of fem-shep. Just played bro-Shep once. Fem-Shep around 10 times.
A few things: The dialogue options on the left are usually to learn more about a person, place, or situation. The ones on the right build up your "Paragon" and "Renegade" levels. You have to reach certain thresholds in them in order to get the best outcomes over the course of the trilogy (depending on the story path you choose). The top-right option is Paragon, the bottom-right is Renegade, and the middle-right is neutral. The neutral option gets you nothing. Every now and then, there's a response you can give on the left where the top-left will be more positive and the bottom-left will be more negative. You keep forgetting to level up your squad. Building up your "Charm" and "intimidate" skills will open up dialogue options that can help you later. In the options menu, you should change your teammates' ability usage from "Defensive" to "All". This will make them a lot more useful in combat whenever you forget to use your own abilities. A lot of NPCs say something different if you talk to them again after certain events. You don't have to do the main missions right away. Some side missions are time-sensitive, so it's usually best to complete them first (if you plan to do them at all). At the end of the day, these are just observations/recommendations. Play the game how YOU want to play it, and above all else, HAVE FUN! BTW, I love that your Shepherd isn't some saint, like 99% of other players I'm watching on RUclips. Your Shepherd is a breath of fresh air. ❤
I went through about 3 full playthroughs before I bothered to click on that option. That reminds me, there's also an option that automatically levels up your squad, while leaving Shephard on manual; most people don't realize that there is a third option.
So many people miss the moment at 42:08. You would of thought, being a remaster, Bioware would of fixed that so all players could experience that cool moment without (through no fault of their own) completely missing it. A prompt or fix the camera upwards perhaps but alas. Mass Effect is definitely going to be a wild ride first time. Enjoy.
The war hero background is my favorite to pair with a colonist because it's a full-circle story. Your family/home was destroyed by slavers, and you ended up saving a different colony from the same fate years later. It's a nice little narrative.
Always nervous starting a new game on the channel, but we've been loving this game so far over on Twitch so I really wanted to share here too! Be sure to leave a Like on the video if you enjoy, have a great evening!❤❤
God I'm so jealous that you can experience this journey for the first time. Enjoy the ride. He becomes quiet, wild, and always very emotional. One of the best stories ever told in a video game series. Enjoy it.
Mass Effect 1-3 are my favorite Games of all times. I'm sure you will love it too. A little thing at the beginning. Think twice making desicions or treat people the wrong or right way. You might come across them in the next games again. And now.... have fun playing. Greetz from Switzerland😉
Hi Lucy 👋 I'm new here. I'm a big ME fan, been a part of the community since day 1 (ME 1 is almost 16 years old). Always ready for new eyes playing this masterpiece! Have fun 👊❤
Female Shepard in voiced by Jennifer Hale. She is best known for her work in video game franchises such as Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid, BioShock Infinite, Metroid Prime, Overwatch, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In 2013, she was recognized by Guinness World Records as the most prolific video game voice actor.
Yesssss another amazing first-timer play-through. As you said in your intro it’s a lot of people’s favourite game series of all time. Talk to everyone you can. Listen to and read the codex. The lore and relationships you build with your squad are things you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Enjoy!!!!
I love how you said you didn't want to shoot the little "Pokémon" and then proceeded to shoot all of them. Lol Jenkins even says they are completely harmless. I've played the entire trilogy dozens of times. I love it. My advice is to make your own choices and stick with them. The beauty of these games is that there are consequences that can reverberate throughout the entire trilogy. Have fun!
Its always good to see new people getting into Mass Effect. Also, the game's Codex has narrations and information on aliens, ships, and other lore so dont worry about writing everything down unless it helps you. Hope you enjoy your playthrough, its an amazing story!
Don't feel bad about missing that opening text, I've yet to see anyone finish it in time.. If you like lore, you're gonna love this series and you're gonna need a new pen when you see the primary codex ☺
@@LUCYJROBYN To be fair, I do, but I'm a speed reader. I annoy the crap out of my wife because she'll be reading something when we're playing a game and I'll be standing there waiting for her to finish, lol. Also it's *hard* to read that out loud quickly.
@@Scorpious187 That's the main issue really, isn't it? Reading something for yourself that quickly is very manageable. Reading something _out loud_ that quickly is a very different matter.
Gonna be watching this series for sure. Anytime someone goes in playing Mass Effect for the first time, there's one conversation veteran fans are waiting for you to see. The moment the new player realizes what this series is really about.
Also...I love how there was some serious dramatic tension here when you immediately professed your fondness for Jenkins and all I could think was "oh no, she's gonna be devastated!" And then you also said "i like Nihlus" and I realized that this was gonna be nothing but heartbreak.
I’ve probably done 20 separate playthroughs since the 1st released years ago. I’ve watched numerous playthroughs online. Your’s has been my favorite. Your obvious love for Jenkins and me silently screaming “Nooooo, I’m sorry, I can’t warn you!” Thank you for sharing your first ever play experience with the ME trilogy.
Hey! Thank you for watching - this comment really made my day😊 I can’t wait to see what else the games have in store for me. Haha it must have been painful to watch!!
I used to love watching let's plays, now I can't get past the first 10 or so minutes, suffice to say I didn't even notice I'd gotten to the end of this one, finally a bingeable let's play!
@@LUCYJROBYN Coming back here to update- Halfway through Mass Effect 2 and I'm amazed, I feel like I'm watching a classic Let's Play from my childhood, which is exactly the 'warm blanket' I needed rn, loving the series!
@@SilvershotStudios Aww I really needed to hear this today, thank you! You will be caught up with us in no time, I think I just finished Act 1 of Mass Effect 3.
I started chuckling the second you expressed interest in Jenkins, and also wondered if you'd get the 'Leroy Jenkins' reference. I was not disappointed when it came to that. Never felt more sorry for him dying, though. You've managed to make me feel sorrier for him just because you'd already honed in on him as a romantic target, lol.
First of all, great start. There are lots of new names for you to learn, but you pay good attention, and they repeat most of it, so you will get the hang of it quick :) Second, Mass Effect is amazing. In scope, scale and lore. I love the worlds of Witcher, Elden Ring and Cyperpunk, but Mass Effect is just something different. Third, the musicscore. This musicscore is the reason (along with the films The Rock (1996) and Inception (2010)) that I've started working with making musicscores for computergames. Both the theme and the general musicscore in all Mass Effect games (including Andromeda) are world class. For me, Mass Effect has the highest rated musicscore in entertainment history. Fourth, you might recieve lots of tips and tricks from us, because we love loads of aspects of the game and side-missions. And we mean well. But a thing, among many, that I loooove about watching others play games is that difference. We do things differently and we percieve differently. So, I hope you'll take our comments in good spirit, we are just excited ;) Welcome to N7.
I have loved the warm welcome into the community! I really like getting small hints and tips here and there so I don’t miss anything important, but yes when it comes to decisions and anything larger I will defo be making my own way and seeing what happens! That’s so cool that you work in music for games, the score in this game so far has been exceptional
I recomend that you ask people to try and not spoil the game in a lil itro disclamer bit. Some things are not entierly clear or intuitive (it is an older game after all) so help is usefull. However theres a difference between spoilers and helpful tips. Here is my list of small but very impactfull tips: * Never use the neutral dialogue option ( middle right option). They do not give charisma bonuses, so only use them if the others suck. * Invest points in the charisma skills on your character sheet. Most ME fans would always recoment you max the charm and focus on Paragon(good) side. Unfortunatley the renagade options are alot of the time just being an A-hole. And you might do some really regrettable stuff in renegade. * explore all dialogue, sometimes a left side dialogue options unlocks more options. * Talk with your crew between missions. * Combat can be paused and directed in the power/weapon-wheel, so you can direct what weapons and abilities your squad use. * You can give your squad upgrades and mods, their lockers are in the bottom of the elavator (cargo hold) if you want to kit them out outside of missions. *Invest in the Electronics and Decryption skills, they will get you more loot. * In the character sheet you can put points in your abilities. Puting a point in the first square unlocks the ablility, putting a point in a square with a circle unlocks the below skill row and putting a point in a square with a triangle in gives the ability a new rank. * Do UNC missions first, they dont move the story forwards but big missions do, so you dont want to miss them. * After big missions go by the Citadel and explore around. * After Feros and Noveria new parts of the Milky Way unlock. * Its recomended to go check on the Prothean Scientist before Noveria and Feros. *** Virmire is a point of no return! Do Virmire only after you feel done with the galaxy map and have had a good chat with your crew! This might look like alot of stuff but this is really just some pointers. You dont have to follow this to a T but i hope it can be helpful for a first time player. Feel free to put questions or more tips below!
Thank you! I appreciate the time you took to write this out, I'm still getting used to the exploration and choosing which missions to do etc and I need to be a bit more decisive in dialogue options to avoid the middle one I think!
@@LUCYJROBYN About romances, you may choose to romace someone in this game or not, there are more options in coming games to. In ME1 theres Kaidan, Ashley (for male Shep), Tali, and the last squadmate. The romance choise can be contiued through the games or broken off/changed. The reason the dialogue options for the Preaching Jelly where grayed out is due to the Paragon/renegade system. With enough points in charm or intimidate and a high enough honor you can choose them. This is why its recomended to invest in these skills fast as it is not always possible to come back and resolve the dialogue as you would like. (Generally the charisma check options give the most satisfying resolution to the situation),
@@LUCYJROBYN Well, I'm a bit late to the party and I haven't seen any of your other Mass Effect vids yet, but... I'd confidently bet that, yes, you totally did.
Great! Welcome another member to the Shepard family. Have a good ride and I'm sure you'll stay. Not only do your choices carry over but also do your achievements. And please do not worry about paragon or rogue points; make choices true to yourself as a player as your gut tells you - these are the best playthroughs. Oh, and one more thing: if you are not on a specifically timed event, please do take your time to look around; if not to find something, then at least to admire the scenery.
i found you through basicwitgirl and mass effect is one of my fave series! i have been enjoying her playthrough and when i wanted to check out a new one i was lucky to be suggested your channel! im loving it so far
Yaaay welcome!! Basic is a good friend of mine and I’ve been loving her play through too🥰 I posted a clip of us on my channel recently, in the Shorts section!
As a Mass Effect vet from it's original 2007 release, welcome to the Spectre Club!......You'll get that reference eventually! 😄 The LE version continues to be the best version of the trilogy for getting new players into the series. If I may, some tips that hopefully don't cross spoiler territory. 1) Some dialogue tips. You will want to pick if your character wants to go full Paragon (Good, diplomatic, charming etc) or Renegade (Ruthless, snarky, shoot first and let others deal with the consequences etc) in order to max out Charm (Paragon) or Intimidate (Renegade). You will get more Paragon points choosing top right option on the wheel and Renegade from bottom right. Middle Right acts as neutral response but therefore does not give point to either and left side can be seen as Investigate/Questioning side. Higher Paragon/Renegade unlocks higher level Charm/Intimidate to spend level up points in which unlocks ability to choose speech options highlighted Blue (Paragon) or Red (Renegade) that may appear on the wheel sometimes. Choosing these gives outcomes not possible with "normal" speech and give further points bonus to Paragon or Renegade depending on what was chosen (Normal Paragon/Renegade speech might give 2 to 4 points but using special speech moments/actions can give anywhere between 8 to 32 points). Not a great system for roleplay purposes but it is what it is. They did away with Charm/Intimidate in ME2 in place of flat Paragon/Renegade number to cover requirements but same issue persists with needing to stick to one or the other. Bioware finally came up with a method in ME3 to allow mixture of both sides without losing out on dialogue options but by then characters are already 2 games in with choices so it can suddenly feel "Out of Character" if you deviate. 2) Vanguard appears to be a very popular choice with new players coming in via LE being able to use this games version of "The Force" without missing out on weapons. It was originally an advanced class unlocked after first playthough of ME1 given that it's very much risk vs reward playstyle compared to Soldier/Adept/Engineer being pickup and play. That said it is one of the most fun classes in the game, more so when going into ME2 when Vanguards get their unique signature power and becoming absolute beasts in ME3! I would recommend getting used to sticking with Shotgun and Pistols however. While LE changed weapon handling in ME1 so you can actually use all four types in general, you'll get more out of Pistols and Shotguns given the class' speciality with them due to being able to spend points to further improve damage and accuracy as well as unlock powers linked to the weapons. It will also prepare you for ME2 which forces your hand with weapon selection depending on the class you play. ME3 is free for all however so you can go ham with what you want then! 3) Relevant for ME1 only. Check in with companions/crew on the ship after every main mission (Quests that appear in Missions tab as compared to Assignments tab which are side quests). That said, do not feel pressured to move onto main quests even if story is suggesting there is a time factor. You will have plenty of time and other players will encourage you to exhaust any side quest you can find before moving main quest along. Not just for XP and loot but because ME1 is the world (lore) building game and the side quests flesh out the game world more. ME2 and 3 companions can potentially have new conversations after any mission (Main or side), more so with ME3, everyone appears to have some comment to make after every previous mission completed in that game, not so much in ME2 but conversation paths can progress without needing to wait on "Main quests". Otherwise, hope you enjoy your time with Mass Effect. By the end of it I bet you'll be buying some N7 apparel of some description! So long as you don't get as bad as me who buys 10 of anything with an N7 logo on it! 😳.........😂
Thank you so much for the welcome and all the great advice! That's so awesome and kind of you to do. I can't wait to get to the excessive merch buying stage of my ME journey.

@@LUCYJROBYN Yep, it seem! I'm sure you'll have a great time going through this masterpiece, as much as I/we will watching you playing it. To be honest, you couldn't choose a better game to play after Cyberpunk 🥰
After experiencing these games for the first time last year, I'm always excited to see what people think their first time through. I have to bring myself around the replaying the series
@@LUCYJROBYN you'll soon find out just how crazy it gets lol. Any little decision could have huge consequences at some point during your journey across all 3 games
I usually don't watch people stream games BUT after listening to you on the On the Path podcast, I decided to give this a try and now I can't wait to watch you go through the entire trilogy! Your curiosity (and note taking) is awesome and I love hearing your questions as you're moving through the game. Like its fascinating seeing a Mass Effect newcomer processing all of this information! Can't wait for the next video!
@@LUCYJROBYN hey the analysis you guys do on the podcast is amazing. The Witcher 3 is probably my favorite game after Dark Souls from the last 15 years and listening to you break down quests in detail was like playing the game with a fresh pair of (very knowledgable) eyes. And it actually kinda inspired the videos I do on my channel so i have you guys to thank for helping me figure that out! Keep up the awesome content!
Thanks for playing and sharing the journey 😊 As a huge fan of the Mass Effect trilogy and Andromeda, it is so exciting to find blind playthroughs. But it is even more special when you find a gamer who appreciates the lore and is clued in during dialogue. It's so awesome to see you pick up on interesting and important bits of info dispersed, sort of causally, during dialogue that most gamers miss during the beginning of the game. So I'm just ecstatic about watching your playthrough 🙂 "Unfortunately", I see you're currently uploading parts for Mass Effect 3 so I'll have to wait a nice while before you complete that. And here I was hoping to have a Trilogy marathon 😉 (Poor Jenkins 😢😉)
Some important things to remember: You don't have to do any of these, but they can help you survive: Search areas for loot upgrades to armor and weapons, take cover during combat behind objects instead of standing out in the open, level up your characters often when available - some of the powers you unlock make your game easier, the dial wheel of powers is your friend - get familiar with it.
This is amazing to watch. "I love Jenkins! He's gonna be my boyfriend" as I'm over here like 😬 Anyways I look forward to the rest of this series as you slowly come to realize that Mass Effect is actually an unexpected horror franchise, and I don't even think they were trying to make horror games
Ah how naive I was!🤣 that’s so funny that you say that, especially in ME3 there have been several times where I’m like… “is this a full on horror game now?! BIOWARE!!”
Fun thing about ME: when you carry over your save to the next game, you can roll a new class. The classes work way differently from game to game, so be sure to check the descriptions in each game. Soldier is my go-to for ME1, but infiltrator/engineer are my favorites in 2. 3 really heavily reworked abilities and cooldowns, making biotic classes really fun in that one. I really recommend experimenting with different class setups in each game to get a feel for which ones you like best in each.
@@PaulGuy True, but those weren't in the same style of game, I don't think. With the dialogue trees and developed characters and such? The earliest WRPG I know of that did that was BG. Would love to know of others, if I'm wrong! :)
Re: the rough patch for you in Chora's Den, you're a Vanguard which means you have barrier. Barrier is OP in ME1, so get used to using it whenever you have to fight. Also, don't rush, you missed Fist's information ... the timed missions aren't scary, they give you plenty of time so don't fret about that.
This is my facourite series of all time. The characters are incredible. And Jennifer Hale as Femshep, you cant beat it. Im excoted to see what you make of this series. Its special for sure
I don't normally watch playthroughs, but having played this year's ago it was fun to watch. Funny that you use the pistol when you said you didn't want to use one during character creation.
@lucyjrobyn Too funny. 😁 Also. Steam thinks I own 862 games...I dabble in playing but rarely finish games, maybe 20 over the last 20 years... but I played and finished this trilogy. I think it will surprise you. Have fun!

@@LUCYJROBYN there's a couple of novels based on Mass Effect and they make reference to the Turians resemblance birds That reference also crops up in the 3rd game too
Know I’m a couple of days late, but welcome to the ME universe! 😁 I think renegade-ish FemShep is great choice (love her voice) hope you lean into a little, bring mostly bad-ass to the bad guys but nice to the crew. If you like lore you’ve come to the right place, hope you’re enjoying the codex!
Great start to your playthrough! I'm excited to see where your story takes ya! Not alot of people pick the Ruthless option, so if you stick to more a good person/ Paragon playthrough, it'll definitely be interesting to see your reaction to how complex it can make your Shep feel. I hope you have fun with this beloved series!
Great play through! Some pro tips be sure to talk to your crew frequently usually every time you go back to your ship. Also there's 2 ways you can play this game you can be the good leader (paragon) or the asshole leader(renegade) both get you to where you need to go in the end but some options will be closed to you depending on what you choose when talking to people. The good side is all dialogue opinions at the top all the bad side is at the bottom note some bottom options are badass options going mixed will hinder you in the end so choose which side tou wish to progress the most.
I actually played the original tree then i bought legendary and i said Wow crazy omg this is amazing what! The graphics are amazing.way to many times i swear
Mass Effect holds a very special place in my heart, I absolutely love it. My only regret is that I’ll never get that first time play through feeling again… Hope you enjoy it! The story is great with all its twists and turns, but the lore and the characters are absolutely incredible!
It is going to be interesting to watch! If the council makes that ruthless human Jane Sheperd a spectre, they are just going to have two Sarens to deal with.
Just started watching the streams, wanted to tell you that the charm and intimidation points can give you more dialogue options. Charm points for paragon options, intimidation for renegade
Tip for the powers: When you have the power wheels up and time is paused, that is your opportunity to aim where you want you or your squad to target their powers. You can also select go to powers and I think hit a key to quickly use that power after it cools down. That way you don't have to always have the wheel up if you found a favorite power
@@LUCYJROBYN not really, you just like pretty much each character in this game (so far), and some of them are scripted to die 🙂Even some of those few you did not like are scripted to die too🙂 Let me give you a quick hint that may greatly enhance your experience with these wonderful series. Your phrases on the left are typically investigative (they do not progress the dialog further, just give you more information), while phrases on the right typically progress the dialog. So the rule of the thumb #1 is to exhaust all options on the left before picking an option on the right. Now phrases on top right usually give paragon points (good aura) and bottom right phrases usually give renegade points (bad aura). Accumulating these points allows you to increase your charm/intimidate skills. Some dialogs have blue/red phrases requiring a certain level of charm/intimidate skill. If you don't have sufficient skill, you can't choose a particular phrase missing some content/action/outcome. So the rule of the thumb #2 - avoid phrases in the middle on the right as much as possible (reasonable?) because they usually give 0 paragon and 0 renegade points, thus do not improve your charm/intimidate skills.
It's been 10 years since i did my first playthrough. Haven't found anything else capable of filling the void mass effect left in me. Can't wait for mass effect 4.

These characters will stay with you forever. Also, do not forget to keep tissues nearby.

Usually turn the camera's off before pulling out the tissues.
A few things:
The dialogue options on the left are usually to learn more about a person, place, or situation.
Thank you for the advice! I really need to remember to change that squad setting over, I am sick of Garrus dying on me🤣
I went through about 3 full playthroughs before I bothered to click on that option. That reminds me, there's also an option that automatically levels up your squad, while leaving Shephard on manual; most people don't realize that there is a third option.

Hi Lucy 👋 I'm new here. I'm a big ME fan, been a part of the community since day 1 (ME 1 is almost 16 years old). Always ready for new eyes playing this masterpiece! Have fun 👊❤
Always happy seeing someone jump into Mass Effect for the first time! Each game in the trilogy just gets better and better.
Best VA out there.
22:53 I like Jenkins and I like Nihlus. The amount of screaming that just happened in my brain. lmao
The whole community sighed!😂
Yesssss another amazing first-timer play-through. As you said in your intro it’s a lot of people’s favourite game series of all time.
Talk to everyone you can. Listen to and read the codex. The lore and relationships you build with your squad are things you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
Enjoy!!!!
Thank you!
just started yesterday and played for 10 hours straight this game is actually so good
Such a great story!
It only gets better!
Have fun!
Haha I needed some target practise! Thank you so much🙏🏼
@@LUCYJROBYN That's why they are there :D
Its always good to see new people getting into Mass Effect. Also, the game's Codex has narrations and information on aliens, ships, and other lore so dont worry about writing everything down unless it helps you. Hope you enjoy your playthrough, its an amazing story!
Oh I haven’t even looked at the codex properly yet! Thank you🙏🏼
excellent choice!
and a totally fresh reaction about this franchise is really good!
we enjoy to watch it like that!
such a great community
Don't feel bad about missing that opening text, I've yet to see anyone finish it in time.. If you like lore, you're gonna love this series and you're gonna need a new pen when you see the primary codex ☺
NO ONE reads that fast right?! 😂
Omg I’m so curious!
Yeah I keep seeing new playthroughs, it's awesome
Also...I love how there was some serious dramatic tension here when you immediately professed your fondness for Jenkins and all I could think was "oh no, she's gonna be devastated!" And then you also said "i like Nihlus" and I realized that this was gonna be nothing but heartbreak.
Hahah the whole community gasped!
Oh! Excited to see someone play through this! You earned a new sub with this one. Especially with you being interested in the lore.
Yay thank you!
I used to love watching let's plays, now I can't get past the first 10 or so minutes, suffice to say I didn't even notice I'd gotten to the end of this one, finally a bingeable let's play!
Glad you enjoyed! Welcome🙏🏼
Hands down my favourite franchise in gaming, looking forward to seeing you get through the trilogy 😁
I can’t wait to start ME2 now!
There are lots of new names for you to learn, but you pay good attention, and they repeat most of it, so you will get the hang of it quick :)
Second, Mass Effect is amazing.
So, I hope you'll take our comments in good spirit, we are just excited ;)
Welcome to N7.
I have loved the warm welcome into the community! I really like getting small hints and tips here and there so I don’t miss anything important, but yes when it comes to decisions and anything larger I will defo be making my own way and seeing what happens! That’s so cool that you work in music for games, the score in this game so far has been exceptional
Yay! So glad to find this playthrough, looking forward to seeing your adventures in this great game!
Welcome aboard!
I recomend that you ask people to try and not spoil the game in a lil itro disclamer bit. Some things are not entierly clear or intuitive (it is an older game after all) so help is usefull. However theres a difference between spoilers and helpful tips.
Here is my list of small but very impactfull tips:
* Never use the neutral dialogue option ( middle right option).
(Generally the charisma check options give the most satisfying resolution to the situation),
"I like Jenkins, I like Nihlus"... Oh, this playthrough will be good :D
I’m not getting attached to anyone else!!
Thank you for the warm welcome!
Don't worry about all the lore; the Codex will be your best friend! Looking forward to the rest of your playthrough, you're going to have a blast!
Thank you! I haven’t put enough time into reading the codex yet, will have a proper look through it tonight
i found you through basicwitgirl and mass effect is one of my fave series! i have been enjoying her playthrough and when i wanted to check out a new one i was lucky to be suggested your channel! im loving it so far
Yaaay welcome!! Basic is a good friend of mine and I’ve been loving her play through too🥰 I posted a clip of us on my channel recently, in the Shorts section!
always great to see more people get into Mass effect. always great to see people explore the lore its the games strongest feature.
So glad I finally started!
@lucyjrobyn Sorry to see you get attached to Jenkins and nihlus 😆. The characters in the game are great so I'm sure you'll enjoy them as well
As a Mass Effect vet from it's original 2007 release, welcome to the Spectre Club!......You'll get that reference eventually! 😄
The LE version continues to be the best version of the trilogy for getting new players into the series.

Omg this has made my day! So cool that you came over from the podcast, thank you so much 🙏
@@LUCYJROBYN hey the analysis you guys do on the podcast is amazing.

Looking forward to your adventure. Welcome to Mass Effect

Thanks for playing and sharing the journey 😊
As a huge fan of the Mass Effect trilogy and Andromeda, it is so exciting to find blind playthroughs. But it is even more special when you find a gamer who appreciates the lore and is clued in during dialogue.
It's so awesome to see you pick up on interesting and important bits of info dispersed, sort of causally, during dialogue that most gamers miss during the beginning of the game.
So I'm just ecstatic about watching your playthrough 🙂
"Unfortunately", I see you're currently uploading parts for Mass Effect 3 so I'll have to wait a nice while before you complete that. And here I was hoping to have a Trilogy marathon 😉
(Poor Jenkins 😢😉)
I absolutely love every game in the Mass Effect series. If you're playing through the entire thing than this is going to be fun
Loving it! Will be starting ME2 at the end of this month, once I’ve finished Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty🙏🏼
Some important things to remember:
You don't have to do any of these, but they can help you survive: Search areas for loot upgrades to armor and weapons, take cover during combat behind objects instead of standing out in the open, level up your characters often when available - some of the powers you unlock make your game easier, the dial wheel of powers is your friend - get familiar with it.
Thank you! I think I’m slooowly getting the hang of the combat
It's going to be a great time and you'll end up loving it sm!
Loving it so far, so glad there are 3 games haha don’t want it to be over too soon!
This is amazing to watch. "I love Jenkins! He's gonna be my boyfriend" as I'm over here like 😬
Anyways I look forward to the rest of this series as you slowly come to realize that Mass Effect is actually an unexpected horror franchise, and I don't even think they were trying to make horror games
Ah how naive I was!🤣 that’s so funny that you say that, especially in ME3 there have been several times where I’m like… “is this a full on horror game now?! BIOWARE!!”
@@LUCYJROBYN Its always been a horror game, it just gets more apparent as you go! I can't wait to get to that realization as I watch, though.
“I like Jenkins and I like Nihlus!” Good grief, I hope you don’t like me! It seems to be a jinx!
😝
Oh that’s interesting! I’m quite intrigued to see how the second games differs especially
Best RPG. The pioneer. The holy grail. Mass Effect started it, The Witcher 3 perfected it. Welcome to the Normandy, Commander!
Thank you friend! It’s great to be here
I would say that's Baldur's Gate. The original trilogy, not the one from Larian.
There were Dungeons and Dragons games from even before that. And the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest/Warrior series both started on the NES.
@@PaulGuy True, but those weren't in the same style of game, I don't think. With the dialogue trees and developed characters and such? The earliest WRPG I know of that did that was BG. Would love to know of others, if I'm wrong! :)

I really hope you never like me, because everyone you like seems to die soon after.

Rewatching this amazing playthrough❤
Aww what a throwback. Enjoy!
Thank you! I'm so intrigued by the Paragon/Renegade system.
I think I want to be mainly paragon with a sprinkle of renegade mixed in for good measure 😈
Taking notes is a good idea for this lore-abundant game. It's your game, you do what you do to enjoy it.

Tip for the powers: When you have the power wheels up and time is paused, that is your opportunity to aim where you want you or your squad to target their powers.
You can also select go to powers and I think hit a key to quickly use that power after it cools down. That way you don't have to always have the wheel up if you found a favorite power

well, lady, you are in for a big surprise 🙂
I'm cursed!
@@LUCYJROBYN not really, you just like pretty much each character in this game (so far), and some of them are scripted to die 🙂Even some of those few you did not like are scripted to die too🙂
Let me give you a quick hint that may greatly enhance your experience with these wonderful series.
Got to love that she didn't even notice the massive ship taking off. lol
Too busy processing my trauma of losing two potential love interests within 15 mins
It's been 10 years since i did my first playthrough. Haven't found anything else capable of filling the void mass effect left in me. Can't wait for mass effect 4.
Oh I didn't realise there was plans for a 4th game?! That's great news!
@@LUCYJROBYN It's still in pre production phase so very little is known . We could get some updates from bioware on november 7th .
