    Hello Allen. We currently have a sales IT500 setup. We would like to move to a smart home system with zone or room control. Could you advise on the kit needed and can I do this myself?

    Hi Allen just after some info if you don’t mind, I’m looking to swap my Tado trv system for the SALUS Controls UK set up as I’m wanting to use hot water priority/ opentherm and smart TRV’s, do you know if the trv’s will work with dphw and do you have any connectivity issues with your set up? 👍🏻

      Hi Joe, The Salus Smart Home system will allow you to configure what ever requirements you need. Simply use the Salus TRV10RFM in conjunction with the SQ610RF Smart Thermostat. We use the stat to control the Temp as this will give you a true room temperature reading. You can use the SR600 16AMP smart Relay to connect to your Domestic Hot water Zone Valve. This can be scheduled through the APP. You can also add a PS600 to measure the Hot water tank Temperature, Create a rule that turns on the Relay if the tank should reduce lower than say 30 degrees. This is just the start of the journey. Connectivity is perfect and can be boosted using the SP600 Smart Plugs or the RE600 Smart Repeater. You can also move the UG600 Universal gateway to a central location in the property by adding it to the WIFI network in the house. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to answer them for you or click on this link for more advice. ruclips.net/p/PLTjtaS435JQ97o53OiPcSqL4PLxQdnAiu

      @@benperris6360 thanks for the reply really appreciate the response, that’s a good way to use the smart relay I didn’t consider that, so by doing it that way would Opentherm still work? Cheers

      @@AllenHart999 thanks, in your opinion with a system being fully zoned on smart trv’s would running opentherm as well make much of a difference in running cost anyway? I have a Viessmann 100 so could 4 pipe it and use Tado with opentherm I think, but I’m currently having some connection issues with my Tado set up so just deciding which controls to go with?

    Does this system work with electric boilers well for instance the heatrae Sadia 1200?

    • @AllenHart999
      @AllenHart999  Год назад +2

      Yes absolutely, You would need a Salus RX10RF to control the electric boiler and that would then connect to the UG600 wireless gateway. Also you would add the wirelss TRV,s so you can control each room independently.

      Unfortunately not. You can if you replaced it with smarthome.

    Does the heating and hot water timers still work with the loss of internet connectivity such as when migrating between services can take over a month without internet, or is it dependent on the gateway having connectivity to an already setup system

    • @matedwards3896
      @matedwards3896 Год назад +1

      The UG600 works as both a network coordinator and internet gateway, so if you loose internet connection you will still have local control of the system through the Zigbee protocol.

      @@matedwards3896thanks mate, I had a tado but am ditching it because I kept losing connectivity with my old isp , then suffered a 6 week internet outage as they failed to transfer connectivity and deleted the record, this shut down the tado completely, I ended up having to go to the cupboard to manually kick in for 30 mins each time I wanted hot water
