Damn, now I wish one of the new airbenders was a former equalist. Wait, maybe one of them was, I mean would you spread that informarion around for your new bending buddies to hear?
In Season 1 of Avatar: King Bumi threw something at Aang that revealed to everyone that he was an airbender. In Season 3 of Korra: Meelo threw something at Bumi that revealed to everyone that he was an airbender.
Tenzin tearing up about the new airbenders is so emotional. It reminded me how Aang's heart would ache at the fact that his entire culture was obliterated.
By the way, prior to Sozin's comet, there were no Air Nomads who weren't Airbenders. Because the Air Nation had such a strong connection to the spiritual world compared to the other three, it was also the only nation where everyone was born with bending, so there were no air nomad non-benders.
zaheer boomi and many can airbend bcos it's the after effects of harmonic convergence how wise is the universe to establish a civilization of these air benders how wise is the universe by knowing that bringing about the group of airbenders it would bring BALANCE
Zaheer is an airbending otaku. He always loved their culture and he taught himself the airbending martial art, even though he wasn't a bender. Part of his character design is to show that he's a fighter. He even has cauliflower ears. Also, Korra's poll numbers comment is more of a commentary on people's reception of season 2.
"I thought not. It's not a story the firebenders would tell you. Guru Laghima was a Airbending Master of the Northern Air Temple, so powerful and so wise he could use airbending to untether himself and create flight... He had such a knowledge of the Airbending philosophy that he could even keep himself from... touching the ground."
Just for your guys reference, this is why Bumi and others are now Airbenders. Transcript of Korra's speech from Season 2 Episode 14: "Harmonic Convergence has caused a shift in the planet's energy. I can feel it. Things will never be the same again. We're entering a New Age." Essentially the purple energy that enveloped the planet during Harmonic Convergence did what the Lion Turtles of old used to do, bend the energy within people and grant to them the ability to bend an element. The world and the elements have been severely unbalanced since the genocide. Harmonic Convergence attempts to correct that imbalance.
Ah Season 3, how I love you. I hope you guys like it as much as I do and like Zaheer also, he's voiced by Henry Rollins. Also, when Tenzin is sitting down looking at the statue of Aang, it always gets a little reaction from me. RIP Aang.
"But maybe there will be enough to fill the temples again" That part gets me every time! That and the first line when he's basically talking to Aang about new airbenders.
“Some said he even had the ability to keep himself from ever touching the ground...” “Is it possible to learn this power?” “...not from your earthly tethers...”
Welcome to the one saving light in the darkness of the Korra series; the point where everyone began to believe in the series. Then, season 4 added lasers...
Wow... why u all so ungrateful for such an amazing top quality show. I guess thats why we get new fop and spongebob shit now and not these kind of shows smh
You guys keep forgeting how Harmonic Convergence heightened the espiritual energy during the Season 2 finale. A lot of things that happened could only be made during HC, like Giant Avatar Korra.
If I may, I'd put everything in the same order as you but, I'd go Season 3, Wan's Beginning Tale, Season 1, Season 4 and then the rest of Season 2 so you can put it in fifth place after all haha.
You keep mentioning "breaking the stigma against firebending", but that already happened to a great extent in the original series. From the beginning, Iroh was always portrayed as at least morally ambiguous, if not outright good. Jeong-Jeong was a good firebender, and Piandao, while not a firebender, was Fire Nation and a member of the White Lotus. Also, there was the Fire Sage in Book 1 who helped them when they had to sneak into the Fire Nation. In the episodes The Headband and The Painted Lady, we got a sympathetic look at the Fire Nation's people and their indoctrination. And even more explicitly, in book 3, the episode The Firebending Masters established the intimate connection between fire and life, and how it's not all about destruction. And on the other side of things, Long Feng and the Dai Li were of course earthbending villains, and let's not forget that even in book 1, Jet, an Earth Nation peasant, was a brutal resistance leader willing to sacrifice innocent lives for his goals. As for water-bending, Hama, from the Southern Water Tribe, introduced us to the concept of bloodbending. And that's not to even talk about Zuko's redemption arc and the betrayals of May and Ty Lee, both Fire Nation members. There's been moral grayness and nuance regarding the different kinds of bending and alignment since the beginning, let's not pretend Korra started that trend.
You're not wrong, of course, but given that the majority of Last Airbender villains were firebenders, the more general audience is still going to have it stuck in their head that fire=bad, even despite the efforts of the original show to argue against that idea. Sometimes when people get an idea or concept locked in their head they'll refuse to ever change that mindset until the point gets hammered away into them, especially if they are simply more of a casual fan of the series.
remember back when they were reacting to ATLA and everyone was warning them not to watch Korra because 'it's trash' and 'they'll hate it'...look at them now, it's one of their most popular react series, they constantly express how much they love it and they're fully invested
Nickelodeon treated this season and 4 like crap first they took forever to release it. Half the episodes 1 through 6 were leaked. This forced Nick to release it faster than they had planned, and literally had no marketing what so ever except a trailer that was released a week before book 3 aired. Then they pulled the show from tv in the middle of the season, and moved it online. Also they would go on to cut the budget as well for book 4. You guys will love book 3 and 4 they are the best!!!
I loved that Bumi got airbending. Especially after the scene where he visited his father's statue and feeling like he'd been a disappointment for not being a bender growing up.
Spoilers ahead, but for anyone wondering, Zaheer is good at airbending because he's always admired the airbending culture. He's studied their philosophy and their forms. I'm not sure if he personally was ever in the White Lotus (though the founder of the Red Lotus was), but if so, it may even be possible that Aang himself taught Zaheer some airbending movements, seeing Zaheer's admiration for their culture, despite being a non-bender. That would be badass. EDIT: My theory is wrong! The creators said Zaheer learned airbending on his own, having always "admired the culture + he was already great in terms of combat" as DJSmallz said below.
Zaheer did not meet Aang. The explanation from Word of God on Zaheer's airbending abilities is that he always admired the culture + he was already great in terms of combat.
The last part was correct but Zander isn’t actually the founder of the red lotus, he was just a member.(*SPOILERS*) They mention the founder of the red lotus in the episode where Korra meets Zaheer in the spirit world, Zaheer says the founder of the red lotus is Xai Bau, that’s why they meet at Xai Baus grove.
From this point on in the series the fight choreography goes from decent to phenomenal. There's a ton of scenes in these last two seasons that are so hype.
Harmonic Convergence caused a shift towards balance in the world, which unlocked airbending in non-benders who had some predisposition (genetic and/or spiritual) for it. (y)
I've been so hyped for this episode!!! It's one of my favorites, along with the rest of this season. This episode in particular left such an impression on me when I watched it for the first time. So glad you guys are enjoying the series!
Flying for aibenders also seems like the next level because sky bisons don't glide at all they are straight up flying. I never really thought about that before hearing you guys discuss.
My theory has always been that there is a finite amount of Benders in the world, and they gain Bending in the same way that the Avatar does: Reincarnation. The Spirit World being open is just now helping speed up the process.
K Y Hahn Uhhh i mean they literally confirm that the harmonic convergence is what caused it. There were zero airbenders in the world, out of balance. The world rebalanced itself by granting airbending to randos, instead of strictly air nomads.
Much like the deconstruction of the fire nation in book 3, this season is also the same with Airbenders where zaheer really gives backstory and context to the viewpoints of the Airbenders and shows how sometimes their distant nature form the world can't and isn't always good.
I wonder if when Tenzin was training Korra to use a glider he gave her Aang's glider from Book 3, since that is the same design. That was probably a touching moment for Tenzin to give his father his glider back.
I was always a big fan of air-bending. Because air-bending truely feels like an extension of one's self. Also, unlike other elements we're always surrounded by air.
Larissa Souza all people, even non benders have the potential to do this Larissa :) if you don’t know about the specialized airbending technique yet though, I️ won’t spoil it for you
I know about it. Don't spoil it for them, though, lol XD Are you sure about spirit projection? As far as the animated series, only airbenders were shown to be able to do it. And it is regarded as a very advanced airbender move, if I remember correctly. Can you give examples of other benders or non-benders who performed it? Are you not, perhaps, mistaking it for the ability to meditate into the Spirit World? That is a universal ability, of course, but it's different from spiritual projection.
The only new airbenders are all Earth Kingdom nonbenders. Harmonic Convergence balanced them out in a way because the Earth Kingdom has an enormous population compared to other nations
I've seen that a lot of Korra haters like to rip on this villain for just somehow being a master airbender despite never bending in his life, but if you think about it, it does make sense. Bending is all about understanding the motions and knowing what part of the body your element comes from. Fire comes from the breath, while earth is in the muscle. Zaheer is really knowledgeable about airbenders. He's got a strong understanding of their history, culture, and philosophies. It's not unlikely that he knows a lot of airbending techniques just from having studied all of this information. The only physical part of being a good bender is having the balance and flexibility that you would need to perform those motions. Knowledge makes for a powerful bender.
To answer your question about getting bending, there are two known ways that people get bending in the world of Avatar: 1. Genetics - People can inherit bending styles from their parents similarly to how we inherit our looks form our parents. Genetics DO NOT guarantee that someone will have bending, although it can boost their chances, as evidenced by the fact that Katara was born a water-bender despite her mom, dad, and brother all being non-benders, and that Aang and Katara's first born, Bumi, was born a non-bender despite both of Bumi's parents and siblings all being benders. However, one thing that genetics DOES guarantee is what specific bending style someone inherits if they inherit bending at all. All benders in the show have bending styles that match either the Nation that the person is from or the bending style that the person's parent(s) has, like how Katara is a water-bender from the Southern Water Tribe and that Kaya inherited water-bending from Katara, and how Aang is an air-bender from the Southern Air Temple and Tenzin inherited air-bending from Aang. Bolin inherited earth-bending from his Earth Kingdom dad and Mako inherited fire-bending from his Fire Nation mom. And to answer your question about an Avatar's children getting more styles of bending, Aang (for example) was born an air-bender, but his other three bending styles were spiritually, and NOT genetically, provided by Raava. In other words, an Avatar's child can ONLY inherit the bending style (from the Avatar) that corresponds to the Avatar's original Nation. 2. Spirituality - This is what mainly determines if someone gets bending at all. Not much is known about this except that people with bending tend to have more spiritual personalities and that people without bending tend to be more of realists, like how, in the first episode of Avatar: the Last Airbender, Sokka was a sexist and pessimistic realist who didn't even believe in bending and thought of bending as "Magic" or "weirdness". On the flip side, it is because of the high spirituality of the Air Nomads that EVERY SINGLE Air Nomad in the Air Temples were air-benders. (The one's you saw during Tenzin's family vacation during Book 2 are not considered to be Air Nomads. They are called Air Acolytes and they were made and developed by Aang to assist in restoring the Air Nation. Further info on the Air Acolytes is shown in the comics.) Although it isn't technically a way to get bending, another notable variable is the population size of the Nation. For instance, the Earth Kingdom, the biggest Nation in the world, has the least number of benders in relation to the total population. And, as I said before, every single Air Nomad in the Air Temples were air-benders, and the Air Nomads were (and still are) the smallest of all the nations. Harmonic Convergence, from what I can tell, most likely gave air-bending to every non-bender in the world that were highly likely to get bending, but just didn't. In Bumi's case, he most likely got it due to his genetic connection to Aang as well as his increase in spirituality thanks to the friendship he developed with his spirit buddy, Bum-Ju. For everyone else it had to be because of their high spirituality. That's all I have to say. Sorry for the long explanation. Great reaction, Blind Wave! =)
This is a great episode, in the last series there was a point where I started watching avatar because I couldn’t wait for yalls reaction, I think I’m going to start watching Korra now too
Fun fact: The villain Zaheer is voiced by Henry Rollins, who was the frontman of the grammy winning Rollins Band, as well as the frontman of hardcore punk giant Black Flag from 1981 to their breakup in 1986.
Ah Book 3, definately my favourite of ATLOK. This whole season is a rollercoaster ride of emotions for me and holds some of the best moments from the show.
There's a theory that during the air nomad genocide before the events of "The Last Airbender" the theory says that some air nomads survived and settled in Earth Kingdom territory, most in Ba Sing Se (because it's never been penetrated by Fire Nation). The theory then says that the descendants of the air nomads that survived are the ones who gained air bending during harmonic convergence. Bumi, being son of Aang would obviously be one of them.
its heavily implied that zaheer was an air acolyte and has studied air nomad culture thoroughly. combined with his proficiency in martial arts, airbending comes naturally to him.
Just going to say this now, but this season is literally a breath of fresh air! After the letdown of S2 for a lot of people, S3 was a very welcome *change* (...I'll stop...for now). The theme of "Change" is actually what I love the most about this season ...among other things that I won't get into yet. Man, I can't wait to go through this season with you guys!! Korra cares about her poll numbers because she cares about doing her job right in the eyes of the people who need her. Her low poll numbers is basically saying that the people are not happy with her and that hurts her in a way. Remember how insecure Korra gets when it comes to her role as the Avatar? It's basically that. ("I don't blame them. I should be able to fix this. I'm the Avatar") Zaheer is very proficient with airbending, because he was confirmed to be a master martial artist by Bryke and according to what they said, any master martial artist can take anything and use it as an extension of themselves (i.e. broom, pen, etc.). Airbending was just that for Zaheer. I would also like to emphasize that it was clearly stated by the White Lotus in this episode that he wasn't a bender, yet they imprisoned him in such an extreme and isolated place. That should already speak volumes about his skills and even Zaheer himself. As for random people getting airbending, Bryke also confirmed that a person's ability to bend was based on a combination of genetics and spirituality. After HC, Korra said she felt a shift in the planet's energy and airbending re-emerging may be the world's way of re-balancing everything after the loss of the airbenders for so long. So, taking that and what Bryke said into account as well, I basically saw this as the world gifting certain people, who have the potential to airbend within them, with airbending. In a way, it's kind of like with Katara. No one in her immediate family that we've seen can waterbend, yet she was still able to. And since we don't know her whole family tree, it's up in the air with how she's able to waterbend. It could be due to someone in her family being a waterbender and passing it on or because she has a high spiritual affinity for it. Maybe a combination of both, who knows. There's also another theory somewhere in the comments about surviving airbenders from the genocide seeking refuge in the EK, passing on their genes, and after HC, these recessive genes in the offsprings became dominant in order to re-balance the world.
lol, so bryke didnt go into explaining why his good in the actual series and needed to come up with an excuse after the season was over? yeah, great credibility there.
Ugh, so close to my favorite season, but you're getting into some AWESOME characters in this one!! Can't wait to see you guys finish this one. You guys gonna do a Q&A after this or something? Would love to hear overall thoughts compared to the original, thoughts on how this was in production hell due to nickelodeon, etc.
HOLY SHIT I JUST REALIZED Sokka's "as the matter of fact they don't [have bathrooms in the spirit world]" in the Avatar and the Firelord episode was a callback to Sokka being in the spirit world in the Winter solstice episode! He had to use the bathroom afterwards, meaning he couldn't find one when he was there, and that's how he knew!
The next episode I'm looking forward to especially is episode 11. Can't wait for their reaction to the second half of it. Also, this seasons' theme is my favorite. Love that song.
I can imagine a few of Amon’s followers became airbenders and they were like “Oh no! I’m one of THEM!”
In a less comedic way, I actually think that's a pretty interesting story line they could expand upon.
omg thats so good xD
Now i read this i wish they expanded on that idea
Damn, now I wish one of the new airbenders was a former equalist.
Wait, maybe one of them was, I mean would you spread that informarion around for your new bending buddies to hear?
That said, I now have a feeling that they are now a part of the red lotus
In Season 1 of Avatar: King Bumi threw something at Aang that revealed to everyone that he was an airbender.
In Season 3 of Korra: Meelo threw something at Bumi that revealed to everyone that he was an airbender.
MetallicaRules
Aang in the afterlife: my grandson got u back Bumi!
King Bumi: he is a mad genius
Lucas: "It's like poetry"
MetallicaRules great parallel
grippingrope99 and MAARP Evans: Jar Jar is the key to all of this.
"The circle is now complete".
Wolf6120 Eric knows this
Coolll
zaheer boomi and many can airbend bcos it's the after effects of harmonic convergence how wise is the universe to establish a civilization of these air benders how wise is the universe by knowing that bringing about the group of airbenders it would bring BALANCE
Emm, no. In the original series the creators just said that it was extremely rare for a nomad to not have air bending but that it could happen.
Katara's blood soiled the purity of the bloodline
Zaheer is an airbending otaku. He always loved their culture and he taught himself the airbending martial art, even though he wasn't a bender. Part of his character design is to show that he's a fighter. He even has cauliflower ears.
Also, Korra's poll numbers comment is more of a commentary on people's reception of season 2.
Ian Kevin how did that movie even get 6%
Zaheer is a airnomadboo.
Then there's an actual guy named Otaku as one of the new airbenders in the series
Even without bending powers, Zaheer was dangerous enough to take on benders and be locked up in that White Lotus prison.
Even trump had better results
"Have you ever read the poetry if the great airbending guru Lahima?" - what I say before every bar fight.
You Legend
"I thought not. It's not a story the firebenders would tell you. Guru Laghima was a Airbending Master of the Northern Air Temple, so powerful and so wise he could use airbending to untether himself and create flight... He had such a knowledge of the Airbending philosophy that he could even keep himself from... touching the ground."
+Citro Is it possible to learn this power?
Sure you do...
Lol
Book 3: Change is literally a perfect season of Television. You guys are going to love it. I only wish Shane was here to witness greatness.
It was amazing, but it wasn’t perfect
Wasn’t perfect at all
You’re right, it is perfect
And now we have Zaheer. Arguably the coolest and most badass villain in anything Avatar.
Um, excuse you, but ALL HAIL THE GREAT UNITER
Wolf6120 Yeah Kuvira and Azula are the 2 greatest Avatar villains imo.
Kuvira is ok
Agreed Zaheer is awesome, so hyped!
I don't consider Azula a good villain, she was an entertaining character nonetheless.
I can promise Zaheer is a breathtaking villain
GeneralEmperor HE IS a breathtaking villain, if you've seen the season you understand..
i mean thats probably what he meant lol
You ARE BREATHTAKING
@@gengible
No u
His love interest is mindblowing too
Imagine their reaction when they realize there’s 3 more villains 😂😂
The best
Just for your guys reference, this is why Bumi and others are now Airbenders. Transcript of Korra's speech from Season 2 Episode 14:

Ah Season 3, how I love you. I hope you guys like it as much as I do and like Zaheer also, he's voiced by Henry Rollins. Also, when Tenzin is sitting down looking at the statue of Aang, it always gets a little reaction from me. RIP Aang.
Pheonix I get teary eyed
"But maybe there will be enough to fill the temples again"
That part gets me every time! That and the first line when he's basically talking to Aang about new airbenders.
Lalisa T I just can't wait for the rest of this season, so good.
The jaw dropping moment when they see Bumi air bend... That's a moment I was waiting for most in this series!
No no, later on....with Zaheer and the Earth Queen. Waiting on that!
“Some said he even had the ability to keep himself from ever touching the ground...”
“Is it possible to learn this power?”
“...not from your earthly tethers...”
Bobby Pendragon
"… Not from an Avatar."
Did you ever hear of the tale of Guru Laghima the Weightless? It's not a story the White Lotus would tell you...
Guru Laghima the Weightless? Is it possible to learn his power?
Lone Avenger not from a White Lotus member...
"Who is this guy?" He is the alpha omega, he is the great anarchist, he is the greatest antagonist imo of all of avatar. My boi ZAHEER!!!!!!
Why while reading this I imagined a theme song like John Cena and smoke clouds appearing?
I have a very active
✋🌈imagination🌈🤚
Welcome to the best season of Korra and the best Villain of Avatar
★ Froggie Animation ★ Best villain of the avatar series
When season 2 is one of the other contenders for best season it's not hard.
Welcome to the one saving light in the darkness of the Korra series; the point where everyone began to believe in the series. Then, season 4 added lasers...

Criticism ≠ Ungratefulness
GURU LAGHIMA
*AN AIRBENDER*
You've probably never heard of him...
LOL
Who lived over 4000 years ago
it's not a story the white lotus would tell you
its an old red lotus legend...
Have you ever heard of guru laghima the wise? I thought so, it's not the kind of story the white lotus would tell you.
"I've never had a girlfriend..."
FORESHADOWING!
"That's rough buddy"
Spoiler
Zaheer...
By far the best antagonist of whole avatar Universe
You guys keep forgeting how Harmonic Convergence heightened the espiritual energy during the Season 2 finale. A lot of things that happened could only be made during HC, like Giant Avatar Korra.
The guys reacting to bumi airbending was priceless. Worth the wait.

My favourite reaction ever: BUMIUSAUVASEVA!
It’s time
Let go your earthly tether.
for more shit korra? yup, youre right.
mitchhamilton64 and yet here you are on a video about lok lol. Funny huh
hilarious. my sides hurt.
mitchhamilton64 it truly is
Nickelodeon treated this season and 4 like crap first they took forever to release it. Half the episodes 1 through 6 were leaked. MegaBlackk1d they also released 2 episodes a week most of the time, it felt so rushed but it was great anyway
yeah it seems the only season they treated right was book 1
Yeah facts they treated the show like crap
yeah its pretty sad they fked over the best shows on their shitty company lol atla and lok
It's crazy considering they're considered the best two seasons (I would probably go 3-4-1-2. )
I love the bridge scene the most, Korra really has grown from the past 2 season and it was at that moment where I really noticed the growth.
"He can airbend?"
"BOOMERSOWOOPBAWUPUSPAH!"
And.... subscribed.
I loved that Bumi got airbending. Especially after the scene where he visited his father's statue and feeling like he'd been a disappointment for not being a bender growing up.

Thanks for the clarification! What is the "Word of God?"
Bryke (Mike and Bryan) basically. They both confirmed this fact, hence it is the "Word of God"
Also he is extremely aggressive than most air benders and doesn't use the traditional avoiding and evading air benders use.
Easily the best season. Best villian in either series by miles.
Airbending has two sub-bending techniques, astral projection, like when Jinora is floating around, and the ability of Flight, like Guru Laghima.
your reaction to Bumi getting his airbending was everything I expected.
this season *italian chef fingers-kiss*
THE BEST SEASON OF KORRA. Seriously have been waiting for you guys to finish season 2 so I could watch these masterpiece with you.
you can say the villian is finally ZAHEER! HA
Yes, finally on to the best season of Korra. Super excited so see your guys' reaction to it!
Is no one talking about Eric's badass Avatar/Batman shirt?
Omg you guys are not ready
i know im not ready for more korra shit. trying to not puke from the fantards.
mitchhamilton64 nice anime channel you fat weaboo
wow, never been called that based on my avatar and channel. such originality i expected from a korra fantard who doesnt have anything to say.
They really aren't, brother.
YEESSS! Its time for the BEST LOK book :)
Their reaction to Bumi airbending perfectly encapsulates the amazement of that moment.
Your reactions to Bumi were priceless!!!! I've been waiting so long for this, guys.
SEASON 3,FINALLY. This is where Korra goes from a pretty okay show to one of the best shows!!
This is the darkest season of Legend of Korra, can't wait for your guys reactions.
I've been so hyped for this episode!!! It's one of my favorites, along with the rest of this season. This episode in particular left such an impression on me when I watched it for the first time. So glad you guys are enjoying the series!
Legend of kora keeps getting better .. They never slip with this franchise
The Planet: Oh shit right...Air.
Remember last season when they talked about how airbenders do not just pop up out of nowhere?
This lighting looks so good on you guys! Can't wait for your reactions for all of season 3!!!!
Much like the deconstruction of the fire nation in book 3, this season is also the same with Airbenders where zaheer really gives backstory and context to the viewpoints of the Airbenders and shows how sometimes their distant nature form the world can't and isn't always good.
I'd assume that Guru Pathik has been to the Spirit World, too.
I like to imagine him and Iroh hang out in there a lot.
Enter Zaheer, the greatest villain of the avatar franchise.
I wonder if when Tenzin was training Korra to use a glider he gave her Aang's glider from Book 3, since that is the same design. That was probably a touching moment for Tenzin to give his father his glider back.
I am sooo excited that you guys are on Book 3 now! It's my favorite season out of the 4!!
Zaheer before getting air bending was possibly the best non bending martial artist in the Avatar world, so he just air bends the same way he fights
So happy to see you guys react to season 3! Think it's my favorite and then season 4. Love your reactions guys, keep at it!
I was always a big fan of air-bending.
Because air-bending truely feels like an extension of one's self.
Also, unlike other elements we're always surrounded by air.
Eric, you were wondering about specialized Airbending techniques: Jinora's (and Aang's) spirit projection.
Larissa Souza all people, even non benders have the potential to do this Larissa :) if you don’t know about the specialized airbending technique yet though, I️ won’t spoil it for you
I know about it. Don't spoil it for them, though, lol XD
Are you sure about spirit projection? As far as the animated series, only airbenders were shown to be able to do it. And it is regarded as a very advanced airbender move, if I remember correctly. Can you give examples of other benders or non-benders who performed it? Are you not, perhaps, mistaking it for the ability to meditate into the Spirit World? That is a universal ability, of course, but it's different from spiritual projection.
LOL Eric at 10:04 "I didn't know if he was gonna fly-fly or not..."
Me: *snickers* *snickers harder* he doesn't know......
Let go your earthly tether. Enter the void. Empty and become wind.
I can't WAIT for you guys to see this story arc, BEST. SEASON. EVER!
''Wait can he fly ? ''
Well... No ?
Washinout shut the fuck up
Zaheer was my favorite villain. He managed to show how menacing airbending can be.
I am so Ready for you guys to see the Next episode. You guys will LOOSE YOUR MINDS!!!!!
To answer your question about getting bending, there are two known ways that people get bending in the world of Avatar:
Further info on the Air Acolytes is shown in the comics.)
Although it isn't technically a way to get bending, another notable variable is the population size of the Nation.
This is a great episode, in the last series there was a point where I started watching avatar because I couldn’t wait for yalls reaction, I think I’m going to start watching Korra now too
Ladies and gentlemen the greatest villain of both Avatar sagas. ZAHEER!!!
The most aptly titled episode ever. You chaps have an amazing season ahead of you.
Fun fact: The villain Zaheer is voiced by Henry Rollins, who was the frontman of the grammy winning Rollins Band, as well as the frontman of hardcore punk giant Black Flag from 1981 to their breakup in 1986.
They finally reached the best season for korra
Yes book 3! It is so amazing.. A new age has begun.
I wish you so much fun!!!
I knew you guys would love this episode!!!
Season 3 is my favorite season of LOK. I'm glad you guys are finally here! Enjoy the ride!
Ah Book 3, definately my favourite of ATLOK. This whole season is a rollercoaster ride of emotions for me and holds some of the best moments from the show.
Zaheer is my all time favorite Avatar antagonist 🙌🏾 the MVP is here
....Oh Araon, I Love you, that bit in the beginning killed me.
Zaheer is arguably the best villain in the Legend of Korra.
its heavily implied that zaheer was an air acolyte and has studied air nomad culture thoroughly. combined with his proficiency in martial arts, airbending comes naturally to him.
This season was mind blowing, electrifying and breathtaking.
.....................really?....One pun wasn't good enough.
Zaheer was my favorite antagonist in Korra. His philosophical view of life always got me.
I want that Korra statue
I'm the Avatar")
Zaheer is very proficient with airbending, because he was confirmed to be a master martial artist by Bryke and according to what they said, any master martial artist can take anything and use it as an extension of themselves (i.e. broom, pen, etc.).
There's also another theory somewhere in the comments about surviving airbenders from the genocide seeking refuge in the EK, passing on their genes, and after HC, these recessive genes in the offsprings became dominant in order to re-balance the world.
what does HC stand for?
Harmonic Convergence
EK means?
Earth Kingdom I'm guessing.
lol, so bryke didnt go into explaining why his good in the actual series and needed to come up with an excuse after the season was over? yeah, great credibility there.
The harmonic convergence really gave airbending to non-benders from the earth kingdom
I'm so glad we're here! It's time for book 3 :D
HENRY ROLLINS!!! :D
Friggin' Henry Rollins! Awesome voice acting!
HOLY SHIT I JUST REALIZED
Sokka's "as the matter of fact they don't [have bathrooms in the spirit world]" in the Avatar and the Firelord episode was a callback to Sokka being in the spirit world in the Winter solstice episode! He had to use the bathroom afterwards, meaning he couldn't find one when he was there, and that's how he knew!
Did I ever tell you the tragedy of guru Laghima the wise??
Mark Lewis no you didn’t now tell me
Season 3 is definitely the best season of Korra, with 4 next, followed by 1 and finally 2.
The next episode I'm looking forward to especially is episode 11. Can't wait for their reaction to the second half of it.
Also, this seasons' theme is my favorite. Love that song.
Omg, I’m waiting for your reaction to episode 2, omg😂😂😂 My reaction was just like “HOLY SHIT!” You know...because of something...
Get ready because things are about to get DARK
