I don't get why this pick is so controversial? Like, sure, Cousins is a good fit for Atlanta for the next few years and will likely find good success, but what's wrong with drafting a high-seated quarterback full of young talent and potential and letting him sit and learn behind a league veteran? It worked great with Jordan Love and Patrick Mahomes? Every time teams throw a new draft pick to the wolves and act surprised when they don't immediately pick up steam and start balling out their rookie year. Give the players time to adapt and grow! We're seeing it with Young, and we've seen it with, and other QB's just thrust into the flames. Give them a chance!!!
The only problem was him going at #8 and being a little older. Hes almost a year older than Pitts crazily enough. However, I’m WITH YOU. I love a rookie QB sitting and learning for a year or two. I hope he flourishes there. I watched a ton of UW games and he’s got that dawg in him fs. Hope nothing but success
