This is the best method I’ve seen to remove these flimsy plastic badges.
If you remove the badge using the same method shown in the video, you should have no issues… just be gentle and take your time.
This worked for me on an SL 55 AMG.

Mine snapped off. I can’t pry off the bits stuck inside. And I’m having trouble finding a video that shows how to remove

Just use a flat pin and gentle tap with a hammer to knock the brittle broken legs to clear the grommet holes for the new replacement trunk star.
