They seem to do it when they're stimulated. Like they will rub on or animals or people when they're stimulated too. Like if youre petting them or get food out, they'll rub themselves on you. Just a theory, I'm no expert.

Even though Jinx is 8 years old, he is still very playful and know how to demand attention by stretching up to reach me from a chair for me to stroke his cheeks, or gently nipping my ankles/ trousers, then trotting over to his food bowls! I get the message: no words needed.

I wish I knew! Am guessing that it's to relieve an itch or an iritation, or just as a bit of exercise or playful fun?
They always seem happy and not in any way distressed, though.
