Great video. Lots of times I’m the friend who stops by to help with the carpentry. Love helping out friends with the skills I’ve collected over the yrs. Can’t wait to see the new and improved “shack” out in action. Here in Vermont the ice has been not so good this season. Froze pretty good now but still lot of sketchy ice on the big lake. Champlain
Outlets and placement of them also any 12v wiring charging of electrics, camera gear. Cabinets. 12v lights if your not going to run generator 24-7. Hole Lights all things to think about while your building.

Looking good boys! I think some recessed LEDs in the ceiling would be a good idea down the road. It’ll really give it a modern look and won’t have to worry about someone shattering those lights when they miss a big walleye 😂

Not sure anyone mentioned it but honestly it's a great idea to put wood blocks do to set the house on vs on the ice I'd suggest 2x4s or 4x4 if you plan to keep it out all winter in one spot and just bank the house good. Also for an ideal heater for you in my opinion would be the ebay Chinese diesel heater I have one in my house and I love it. Don't use alot of fuel in my house (4x8) but on level 1 stays 70+ and burns about gallon in a day plus is a vented heater so no fumes in the house and it's forced air heat. Just my ideas to toss at ya

The side by the door that had no beds would be cool to put two top an bottom fold up beds on the wall just for the homies. Would only come out maybe 8-12 inches when put up. Also you def need a fold up bed above the only bed, for head room sake.

It's looking good. With the contrast between the roof, walls and floor I thought it might be too much, but you've pulled it off successfully. Gives the place a much lighter feel too, which will make it look bigger.
It looks way more rustic than the original build! Brand new houses all look the same, but this one has some character already! Keep it up!

Dimmable led strip, hole spot lights, some sort of venting system co2 detector and then inspect underbody for any maintenance needed, plus spray foam for insulation if it isn't yet. I would draw they layout out before you start placing things into place in the interior like storage shelves cupboards etc. You guys should of ran electrical before putting the wall up but still doable. Checking for a mountable location to run dakota lithium solar panels to power your batteries too.

if you put a seating area with a table by the back wall put a hole on either side between the wall and the benches. you'll be able to fish 4 people at the table instead of the usual 2

Great job you guys! Lucky you have friends that have knowledge of how to do things helping with the build. Just make sure that your electrical plugs are up to date. A fire alarm might not be a bad addition. Lucky Justin found the molded wall panel.
