Cannot beat the V6s in these... The later 4.3s just don't last at least what i've seen too many blow up before 150k.

No they don't. The later 1990's early 2000's 4.3's are no different then the early ones other then the cam and balancer and intake. I have a 1998 and it's very very reliable and I literally have floored it every day since I have owned it for the past 3 and a half years no issues. Also the Syclone and the Typhoon short blocks are identical, they changed the cam and intake on the Turbocharged engines along with a few difference in Computer and wiring too.

The price that you're going to pay for even a used C5 Vette it's just a waste of money in my opinion. I would biuld that truck up even with small things here and there... It's only less reliable if not done correctly.

These motors become less reliable when you turn up the fuel and boost regardless of how correctly" you do it. Maintain it as a piece of history. There are better cars to go fast with.

S-10's were junk along with everything GM built. It was basically a Yugo with a cargo bed......Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma were great trucks in those days.

uninformed comment. This truck is 30 years old with 140,000 miles and looks and runs like new. Toyota can take more abuse I agree.
