2023, I recently had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Bridgette Sly (Tony’s widow). I work as a delivery driver, and delivered to her house. I was so stoked when I asked if she was related to Tony Sly and she
said yes. I told her how I was a big fan of NUFAN and she ended up giving me a newly pressed re released copy of the Leche con Leche album. 🙌

I remember this song on the punk sucks compilation in 95...I was 13, had braces and acne, and the saddest scraggliest liberty spikes a girl has ever had. I spent time watching the boys skate, smokin cigarettes in the ska coffeehouse, and having the time of my life being punk as fuck.

Everytime i listen to NUFAN i always remembered about my childhood, my late father is a huge fan of them, even i think his voice kinda resemble Tony Sly.. And sadly they both died young.. We love to sing to NUFAN song together, I'm 18 and i hope there are still some people my age out there who also love NUFAN

dude google "cinema beer goggles vhs" and check that killer shit out, i saw this video on that vhs comp. for the first time in about 96' or 97', i of course knew this particular song from the fat wreck comp survival of the fittest cd, there was another one called cinema beer nuts which didnt have NUFAN but was still pretty good, then you had the nofx 10 years of fuckin up vhs and the PBS punk broadcast system vhs from maybe 99 or a couple years later ... check all that shit out

I was very late in learning of Tony's sudden death. Deeply saddened by it.. I grew up listening to No Use. RIP Tony and thanks for the amazing tunes!
I ended up with Leche Con Carne by accident. I was looking for a No Fun At All album, and I put it on in the stereo downstairs and was thought was the hell? A few weeks later, my mom was rotating albums and asked "Is this one yours?" I asked what it was. She said "No Use For A Name." I told her it was fine not to like my music, but don't insult me by not giving me the bands name. No need for passive aggressiveness lol. It wasn't until Jake played me their version and I said "This sounds familiar.." and then put it on when I got home. This was years later and had never really listened to it till Strung Out's version sparked something in my brain to remember it. Pretty cool. Only wish I had got to see them live :( great song.
They were one of the first band I´ve seen live back in 2000 and till today the best Live-Band I´ve ever seen...

Newspaper stands and telephone booths where still around when this came out. I remember waiting for it to come on the radio to hit record and finally have a copy of this song.

Same here, and check this out, I work for a delivery company and last week I delivered a package to his wife Bridgette, I didn't get a chance to talk to her though, ( her name didn't click until I drove away) I live and work in the city he was from.
One of my absolute favorite songs from the 90's! brings back great memories of being a punk teen skater kid! Love the video too! Sad I never got to see them live..

It's fucking amazing how punks stayed strong for so many decades starting from the 1970s with the sex pistols and Ramones to the 80s with the exploited to the fast skate punk of the 90s with off spring, mxpx, nofx, no use for name, green day. To the pop punk of the 2000s with blink-182, new found glory, sum 41. Now the 2010s we have new bands like neck deep, the story so far, knuckle puck etc.. still keeping the genre strong. Punk and all it's subgenres will never die!
