Nice video. I didn't really agree with some of your opinions but that's what makes opinions beautiful. I personally think that Winter kinda going back and forth in arc 2 makes sense. You don't just immediately get through all of your trauma, bad mindsets, and bad habits in the span of a book. And I think book 14 is a perfect example of how he is finally starting to truly heal.
Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions :D Your voice has been heard

on a scale of 1 to Lilo and Stitch, how much would you say you love Moon?

1. Last year in late 2021, I watched a video from ColeyDoesThings where she looks at fans commenting on their favorite fandoms, and Wings Of Fire was mentioned. I ended up researching a bit about it. Me and my dad went on a wild goose chase in order to find book 1 at a half price books. I read all of book 1 in a week and I absolutely loved it. And it all went uphill from there.
2. My favorite arc is probably arc 3. I understand that a lot of people didn't like it, but I just absolutely loved it. The story and themes of arc 3 inspired me, and I loved how they managed to tie the theme of control and freedom that the entirety of the series was building up. And the characters were a lot of my series favorites.
3. The Dangerous Gift is my favorite book in the series and is in my opinion a magnum opus. I loved Snowfall as a character, and just thought it was a marvel of introspection, worldbuilding, and character development.
4. Legends Darkstalker is my favorite for obvious reasons, but Dragonslayer was a really pleasant suprise that I also ended up loving. My favorite Winglet is between Deserter and Assassin. Deathbringer and Six-Claws had some of the best character writing if we exclude Snowfall.
5. HiveWings. They look so aesthetically pleasing, and I love their role in arc 3 as this tribe that's so advanced compared to Pyrrhia but so misguided due to Wasp being a controlling, and manipulative queen.
6. Snowfall. I relate to her so much, and she is the pinnacle of character writing and character development.
7. Cattail. HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO CLAY YOU ABSOLUTE [REDACTED]?!
8. Cricket. She's a HiveWing which I already said I loved, she has a beautiful brown and gold color pallette, and she has glasses. The key to my heart when it comes to some dragons.
9. Queen Ruby. She gets a suprising amount of character development during Escaping Peril alongside her. And she ended up becoming a favorite.
10. Darkstalker. Don't think I need to elaborate when many other people can explain better than me. Maybe Coral in 2nd place if you count her as a villain.
11. Turtle has yellow eyes. And his bioluminesent scales glow yellow when he uses animus magic in an active way.
12. I don't like calling characters overrated since it feels like such an opinion bashing term. Why should a character not deserve people's love? But if I had to say, it would be Sunny. No offense to Tui, but I think she kind of butchered her in her POV book. The book tries to treat her as if she's this forsaken hero who's underestimated by the other dragonets of destiny due to her positivity. But in actuality, it's cause of her refusal to accept the reality of the world around her. YOU LITERALLY RAN AWAY WHEN MORROWSEER REVEALED THE PROPHECY WAS FAKE. I THINK THE OTHER DRAGONETS HAVE A RIGHT TO SAY YOU'RE TOO NAIVE SUNNY. Not to mention she treated Stonemover so horribly when she first met him due to his pessimism.
13. Blue. I have seen way to much slander on my boy. In my opinion he's Sunny done right. He has to directly confront the false reality he's been believing all this time in the form of his father who had fully converted into a doormat. And the fact he was willing to sacrifice himself after he was so meek and cowardly at the beginning tugged at me. The closing lines of book 11 about him finally accepting change just felt beautiful. 2nd place would be Coral. I understand why people hate her, she definitely was very off putting at first. But I felt so bad for her over time as her life was just falling her apart. All of her daughters except for Anemone and Tsunami are dead, and her husband Gill is dead now too. And you can see in arc 2 that she is truly trying to get better, and make up for the things she has done.
14. Tau and her boyfriend (Grasshopper I'm pretty sure is his name). Their relationship felt so wholesome, especially when we got her thoughts from Snowfalls view point due to the gift of vision.
15. Blue and Cricket. They are so goddamn cute, they have probably one of the most healthiest relationships in WOF, and they both tie in with each other growing as a character. I hate how people constantly say they're rushed.
16. Skyfall. I'm not opposed to the idea, but Sky and Snowfall only interacted once. And while it was cute, I don't personally see them as a couple.
17. As much as I love Peril and Turtle's friendship, I have to go with Sky and Wren. This is what my ideal friendship is like.
18. I loved the moment in book 9 where Turtle talked to Coral. It sheds a light on who Coral can really be, as we only saw her from the morally skewed actions in book 2. A lot of queens (besides Scarlet and the RainWing queens before Glory took over) before the SandWing succession war ended were clearly felt burdened and obligated by this sense of having to do what their respective tribes built upon. And that lead to Coral doing many things that she clearly was not proud of, like killing Orca. This shows that despite everything, there's still part of her there, and she can potentially try to fix things, or create a better future for those she impaired. She gave Turtle the hope he needed to stop Anemone, and she gave letters to him to check up and chat at the end of arc 2. When other people see Coral, they see an awful, abusive mother who tortures her subjects and should not be redeemed, or framed as a good guy. But when I see Coral, I see a flawed, broken individual that definitely did awful things, but she has a chance to fix those bridges, which she took that chance. So I see a truly mesmerising queen, that despite everything, can come back and make it right again. And I will never forget Coral, queen of the SeaWings.
19. Freedom. What an absolutely amazing end to a saga.
20. Turtle vs. Anemone. Just plain epic.
Loved hearing about your opinions! What you said felt really neutral and friendly instead of the ”this character is the best and if you don’t think so you’re stupid” mindset I see a lot of in the fandom. You really made me feel like we can all like whatever characters we want and that we don't have to hate the other characters because of it. Thank you

1. I was scrolling through the comment section of a RUclips video about books when someone recommended a cool kids series called Wings of Fire. It's my favorite book series and I've read all the books.
2. Arc 1. You can't go wrong with the classics.
3. My favorite book of all time is Darkstalker but excluding it, I'll pick the odd option in book 3.
4. Darkstalker
5. RainWings. I love the venomous tropical jungle feel of them and how you could do anything you want from them.
6. Starflight of the NightWings.
7. Coral of the SeaWings. I refuse to acknowledge her as queen because of how stupid she is.
8. Whiteout. She's absolutely gorgeous and I imagine her with heterochromia. Although, I also love Cricket's design.
9. Queen Hazel of the LeafWings. She is a good leader willing to be the best queen possible to her tribe. I hope Sequoia officially dies so she can take over.
10. Chameleon. Waiting for him to become better-written.
11. This is tricky. I'll split between two. First is the theory that there are subspecies of every tribe. The second is that any dragon born after Jerboa's spell won't be affected by it.
12. Any character from Dragonslayer. If that doesn't count, Ivy.
13. Chameleon of the RainWings cuz yes
14. Six-Claws. Just because he has a winglet doesn't mean that he isn't totally overlooked.
15. Starspeaker. I like it.
16. Burn x Blister is an actual ship, someone made a one-shot about it *barf-*

1, My online friend suggested it to me along with Warriors! I actually asked my mom to order book 1, and we somehow ended up getting The Winglets Quartet instead xD I started properly on Wings of Fire, a while after I got the Winglets book, on Audible.
2, It could be any of them, but I’ll have to go with arc 2 for the characters. There was barely any characters I disliked, as they were all very well written. Even though I and many people would like to change the ending, the whole series was great :D
3, Book 8. I think we all know why. I love Peril’s character development after being put under the spell, her friendship with Turtle, her bond with Clay, it was all very well-written. And also the plot was perfect, as well as a break from the bigger series, with a plot twist at the end that leads right back to it, meaning it builds up the real plot.
4, Okay. To put it simple, Darkstalker. Pretty much everyone’s. Lord knows how many times I’ve read it. For my favourite Winglet, I also have to go with Assassin. It was pleasing to read, though I still question how in the world Quickstrike got shot by lightning lol-
5, SkyWings. SkyWings are underrated to be honest. I like how their tribe revolves around life with Scarlet as queen. Also, many of my favourite characters are SkyWings. In fact all the main SkyWings we really meet are somewhat my favourites xD For example Peril, Scarlet, Ruby, Cliff aaand
6, CARNELIAN. Warning: I am about to simp for Carnelian
I just love Carnelian. She should have LiVeD- Her character brought a lot of promise, especially as the protagonist’s claw mate before she died. Her personality was also funny yet relatable, to me at least, and her bond with Ruby/hate for Scarlet was something interesting that could’ve been explored further. I totally didn’t make a Character based off Carnelian- 👀

9, Queen Scarlet or Queen Ruby... I think I have an addiction to SkyWings •.• but other then those 2 it would definitely be Queen Snowfall. Funny how 2 of the dragons I just mentioned I would hate in real life, but I love how they’re written xD
10, SCARLET. I HAVE A SKYWING PROBLEM HELp. Or Darkstalker, for obvious reasons. I also quite liked Wasp, I wish we got a better explanation of her hatred towards the other tribes.
11, I have way too many Headcannons, so I’ll just list a few of my favourites.
LeafWing scales should totally change colour during Autumn and/or winter. That could be awesome :D
ICEWING HORNS ARE SHAPED LIKE ELK HORNS CHANGE MY MIND.
SilkWings & LeafWings do end up making the Leaf/Silk village, and don’t have Royalty. I just thought this would be an interesting concept and despite it basically being canon already, I wanted to confirm it :D
These three are more of literal AUs and less of headcannons, so feel free to use the 1st one to create your own oc based off this fantribe/subspecies :D
What if some of Fathom’s descendants stayed behind? Would that mean that there’s royalty hiding out in the ruins of the ocean? Well, I just defined DEEPWINGS! They’re my fantribe/Subspecies, ik the name DeepWing is overused but it fits too well xD
They have some faint NightWing blood (in the canonical time it would be from about 400 years ago) meaning they have enhanced Night vision & very rarely one can breathe fire. The ones who can breathe fire are chosen to be the leaders of the tribe, sometimes against their own will.. (just saying that cuz one of my DeepWing ocs was 👀✨) and they all have the royalty marks but a bit different to normal SeaWings, as in the shapes don’t ‘look like webbed talon prints’, they look like normal talon prints :D I’m currently writing a fanfic with DeepWings in!
Headcannon #2 is that there is still Breath of Evil growing in the rainforest. I’m totally not also writing a fanfic about this 👀 /j I am why me
The other one is that the Chryalis is named after a dragon. I saw this Headcanon somewhere but I don’t know who created it, so credit to [name here] :’D Chrysalis would be a SilkWing, the daughter of former queen Monarch :D Not much else to this lol.
Alright I should probably stop ranting about headcannons &/or AUs-
12, Honestly I’m not sure, but I’ll go with Luna. I liked her personality in book 11, she was highly supportive, but in book 15 she acts like a brat and is always needing to be saved. Like she spends possibly more then half the book in a hole.

It could definitely be the prologue in Moon Rising, or possibly the same moment you said, when Turtle brought Moon down to the river. It ALSO could be when Darkstalker comes out the mountain, I can just imagine a giant rising in front of the dragonets-
