Lumna Acres 2.0 is a winter wonderland. I suggest that you always pack a survival kit with plenty of food and other provisions in case you get stranded. Better to be safe than sorry!
Love the beauty of freshly fallen snow capped trees. It’s like our place, as long as your feet and hands are dry you’re good. Tracks look like they’ll work out good... we’ll see when it’s a deeper snow though. Great scenic video guys.

Yeah, she probably really would enjoy it. Now is the right time to teach her. Maybe she could have helped move a few branches (smaller ones). She probably got kind of cold sitting in the Mule. Out and about like Gina and she'd not have gotten so cold.
He probably would teach her but I think Gina gets nervous. Lol I think she was driving something a video WAY back.I can't remember if it was the forklift or something. Lol old age.
Yep! I was driving tractor at 9 years old in our commercial berry fields with pto implements running and 1/2 ton pick up in livestock pasture fields for fencing. Only thing that ever happened was I hit the right brake a little too hard at the end of a berry row turning into the next row and threw my Dad off of the sprayers platform attached to the rear of the tractor.. lol.. never knew a human could fly that far until then. Luckily he just got dirty and wasn't hurt.
What a wonderful trip!!! Forgive me, but I am so happy that you had to make so many STOPS because we could see the beauty of this place. now in winter :-) Gina.. you are just a WONDERFUL POWER WOMAN :-) Olivia- people are talking about you because they love you. Better with an enclosed cab and a heater, at my job in public safety we have John Deer gators that have enclosed cabs and heaters and air conditioning for four season use
@@briancasey4917 tracks are not needed for the amount of snow. Heck I have driven in much deeper snow in the mountains with a small fwd car. Not to mention that he could have taken up more building supplies on that trailer without the mule. He could have bought a used 5th wheel trailer and had it delivered for the costs of the tracks for the mule. Which would provide emergency shelter, a warm place to eat lunch and an easy makeshift shed.

That view of the road going up the hill just before the pond reminded me of a February many moons ago I was snowmobiling up the backside of dixville peak. Absolutely stunning.
Al, when I worked for a large excavating company, we had a job putting in a haul road for 100 ton Cat 777. In the soft spots like you have on your road, we would add a product called geogrid and gravel. It definitely stabilized the road.

Just had a thought, Al. The goat stop would be ideal parked right near the fire.pit. Some where close to sit near fire and warm up, sheltered from the elements.
He will not be wanting to put any farm animals up their before he moves. To many predators and some really big ones like bears would think he is providing free lunch dinner and breakfast
@@kwayne9846 The Goat stop is a structure Al built . We all thought it was for Olivia to sit in while waiting for the bus. But it was for the Goats! JO JO
@@joanneganon7157 I guess if he meant for them to use it without the goats and just for people to sit in it would be ok but any goats taken up their with certainly be killed by predators very quickly. He locks them all up at night on the little homestead to prevent this now. Remember CDC and the Two Ducks

Tell your daughter it’s the perfect tree. Memories with mom and dad she’ll never forget. When I was younger then her we were having a bonfire out in our backyard. The family all gathered around the fire. How or what I was doing, (most likely clowning around with my older brothers) ,my long hair caught on fire. How I really don’t remember. After all I’m 83 some thing of years gone by I’ve forgot, but not that bonfire. When I realized my hair was on fire all I can remember was me running🏃🏽♀️ and my scared brother’s tackling me and putting out the fire 🔥 . Memories and finding out that day how much they truly loved me. I was the youngest. They’ve all passed but on to glory but left me so many good memories. They were my protectors. I loved Lumnah Acres 2.0 without the snow. Now, with the snow it is an amazing to see it covered with the beautiful white snow. With cutting so many trees it gave you a bit of what it would be like living up there. Just enjoy the ride. I know I did.
What if you took th cut up trees and put them across the road in the boggy/muddy sections ..... To build it up ...... That's how they built the AlCan highway

Al you need to take that trailer back and tell them you need an 83" wide one. If you were down in OHIO I would exchange it for one my 83" wide trailers just for the advertising. I love the channel and I give it a thumb's up every day.

27:25 a christmas tree is the one that is in the way for a road or have to be removed anyhow, size and looks are secondary. the main thing is that the removal of the tree will improve conditions on site.
If you cut the trees back 20 feet or so from the sides of the road the sun may be able to get in to help dry the road out. Also you will have a place to push the snow in the future.
Enjoyed the ride, beautiful snow scenery . I was surprised at how many trees along road had to be taken down, what a workout that was for youzzz. Thank you for sharing your adventures. The beaver saga is fun too.
Good morning Al, Gina, and Olivia. Looks like you had a great day on the 500 acres. Al, I would not wait until spring to bring out that wood you cut today, I would drag it up with the mule to your firepit while the ground is frozen. It will provide you with a lot of kindling and small firewood once it has had time to cure. Now that you have the way to the pond cleared, this would be a great opportunity to let Oliva drive the mule. As a farm kid, I learned to drive by driving tractors and other farm machinery. This made my learning to drive a truck and car easier, and I learned how to use a manual transmission, so gear shifting came easy. Just a thought. Hope you all have a great weekend.

They make tracks for pickup trucks also. There's videos on RUclips.

Rush Roush, I couldn't agree more. His pickup has a Boss plow it would have made it there fine. Mule is a toy.

I would be using those bigger tree to make a log road over the soft spots even the brush part will help keep the mule on top

Plan on a heater for the pee house & 3 chairs. You're going to need it for a warming hut more before it's used for stuff storage 👍✌️👌🇺🇸😷😷😷

Now that you have the way to the pond cleared, this would be a great opportunity to let Oliva drive the mule. As a farm kid, I learned to drive by driving tractors and other farm machinery. This made my learning to drive a truck and car easier, and I learned how to use a manual transmission, so gear shifting came easy. Just a thought. Hope you all have a great weekend.
