Yes! Love The Tubes. I think I left a comment on your last Tubes lesson about this one. I worked security at one of their shows way back in 2005 and got to hangout with them after. Good time.
Saw the Tubes in Toronto in 82 or 83, no question, one if the best live shows ever.
Saw them in 2000 in SF at a small venue. They had a meet and greet after.
Kelly, not a good deal of subscribers/viewers know of this hidden gem.
Excellent choice!
“Hang my self when i get enough rope”
Such an underrated classic rock song. I only discovered it a couple month's ago.
Love the Tubes.....Ive seen them many times live....First time Remote Control at the Greek Theatre......Thank you for the lesson......
Awesome! Big Tubes fan here! Been trying to figure out one of their best tunes, Tubes World Tournfor years now. Bill Spooner and Roger Steen are truly underrated guitarists.
Love this song! I've happened to see these guys live twice, the last around 2008 and Fee certainly has still got it! Fortunately I was ready for his appearance for this song but the people who I took to the show were not LOL!
My youth pastor turned me onto this Tubes song when the album " What do you want from Live" came out in 1978, I was 12. We would smoke w%%d and explore the endless possibilities of the future of music and the cosmos that God had created.
I was a junior in high school when I bought it on cassette. 1984 😂
Wow ! Great band , Fee Waybill and The Tubes. Roger Steen was a good guitarist. Most people won't know that Steve Lukather (Toto) played the solo on the Tubes hit Talk To Ya Later. I also believe the Tubes were produced by the legendary Todd Rundgren.
Wow ! I didn't know that SL played the solo on Talk to you Later. I understand now why I loved it so much and why I've spent weeks to learn it a long time ago ! 🤘
Part of the soundtrack of my youth. A real gem. Great lesson KDA thank you- I’m going to learn this one !
You're awesome mate, thanks for that!
Long time since I heard that song on the radio. Nice tutorial ♪♫♪♫♪♫
WPOD!!! We covered this song back in the day and hardly anybody had ever heard of it.
lovely
The first time I saw the Tubes they were one of the opening acts for Led Zeppelin in San Francisco, at Kesar stadium. Along with Lee Michaels and a sadly miscast Livingston Taylor, who ended up succumbing to the "boos" and leaving, I mean, the crowd was there to Rock and Stairway was brand new. The Tubes really stole the show as far as just pure showmanship goes. And their music was stellar, too. Lee Michaels was great! One of his last shows. His version of "Walking the Dog" is still in my mind. And, of course, Zep was amazing!
Great Band ! Great song ! Nina Hagen cover (Spliff period) is also very good.
Thanks Kelly for this time travel !
LOVE IT!!!!!!
Excellent track tutorial. I've been meaning to pick up this one and you've just handed me the tools, KDA. Thank you!
Remember my parents falling about laughing.. when they saw the mentioned video ..when me my friends were watching it years ago 😂
i dont even know this song but i saw you play it and it sounded so cool knew i had to learn it, now I can play the guitar parts of a song Ive never heard, thanks!
You have to listen to the, What do want from live version
Love this song! Very much underappreciated band these days, their shows were really wild. What do you want from life? (a baby's arm holding an apple). Btw, any chance you've got a proper tutorial on She Ain't Pretty sitting in the queue?
Can you do a lesson on I Was A Punk Before You Were?
