I really wanted to cover this song for a long time. This is by far my favorite bassline ever, and one of my favorite Zutomayo's songs, everything about this song is perfect!!! It took me 2 years to cover it mainly bc I was struggling with the solo (notice the cut 😂) but here it is! I tried to stick to the original as much as my ears allowed me, bc it would be an heresy to change anything.

No particular technique used, it's just 2 regular slides following each other. Find the notes of the 2, play with the right timing and that's it!

Im a beginner on bass, can you tell me how i can get zutomayo bass tone? espeacially the amp setting
J style bass and Ampeg would be my guess. Fresh strings for increased clarity. For EQ: try to increase bass and decrease mid a bit. Also use a decent amount of compression. At least that's what I'm hearing - might be inaccurate :)

Idk if you're asking for an explanation but basically it is one motion and you pull with your index, middle finger and ring finger. At the beginning you can try with only index and middle finger (2 notes) to get the principle. You must use the side of your fingers and keep it really sturdy if you don't want to be loose on rhythm

Try hard my dude! To be more specific you need to practice at first very slow (like 0.25 speed), to really work on the economy of movements for both left and right hand. It doesn't have to be perfect, as you can see in the video my left hand is a mess, but it's good enough to play this bc here I was focusing on placing not every finger perfectly, but really optimizing the movement of my hand for the next note, one finger at a time!
