Personally as an artist who often admires animators, show creators, mangakas, etc. and dreams of going into that industry in the future as a career, I feel like I definitely needed this episode cause it shows just how much people in the industry, mainly mangaka’s in this case, have to go through to through deadlines and having to face pressure from the high standards and expectations from the readers of their creations especially if their doing everything by themselves. And unironically I do relate to Tokyo Blades Mangaka a lot in both the artist aspect, the dream of making my own series aspect, and ofc the introvert but also a chatterbox aspect

Yes totally different magazine with the same name lol. Shukan Playboy is a men's magazine, it has swimsuit models and stuff but also entertainment articles, manga and so on. The American Playboy did have a Japanese version but that ceased publishing in 2009 from the same publisher but Shukan Playboy started publishing years earlier so they didn't own the name in Japan. Shueisha who publishes Shukan Playboy is also the publisher of Weekly Jump magazines like Shonen Jump and Young Jump, the latter is what the Oshi No Ko manga is published in. Despite the word "young" in the name, magazines with this are not aimed at kids but young adults in their early 20's.
It's funny, they had to have known Playboy means something different overseas, this part wasn't in the manga that I recall so knowing it's popular overseas they still put this in to be confusing over any other men's magazine. The company produces more than one men's magazine.
As a social media photographer, I could relate to her dilemma. I know what is best to shoot a great photo for a business's social media, but when something is different than I think, "that's not good."
It just gets better and better every week. Abiko Sensei is harsh, but it all comes down to her love for her manga, and from a bad experience she had with a manga she loved (Sweet Today) being ruined in the tv show. Btw, the detail on the manga drawing scene was on a level of its own.
Hope they can keep up the quality of episodes till the end!

Oshi no Ko be teaching a lot about how stressful and nightmarish this line of work can become if you don’t take proper care of yourself
