Innocent made a landslide mistake by dismemberiing of her remains.Yes drug dealers can allow their clients stay in their apartments to take the drugs ,reason being the more they are there the more they buy and the more the dealer makes more money,because streets are always competitive with many dealers and lesser clients,therefore everyone wants to house his clients from other competitors or rivals.
I think he panicked and then made a rash decision. He should have realised the game is over and call the cop's. Trying to cover up the whole thing put him in this mess. Well, drug dealers are mean humans that can do anything to cover for their crimes.

The autopsy of the girl reveals she was stabbed and not that she overdosed. I think that the last moments of girl may have being a bloody deadly end filled with pain for her. May her soul rest in peace. This man called innocent is not so innocent. Since the girl's parents have objected to them being together, he should have backed off and left her alone. When the girl showed up at his door step after escaping the rehab, he should have called her parents to come get her. Innocent acted very irresponsible and callous for butchering her corpse after her death. That is sadistic and wicked act on his part. So apart from selling drugs, he was an illegal immigrant so was already in trouble even aside the probable killing &dismembering of the girl"s body. So even if he didn't kill her &reported, autopsy would have proved him innocent but he still would have served time for drugs &then deported back to Nigeria (which he foolishly didn't think to be better than sentenced to life for)

Daniel said it correctly, it could have been she died of overdose&he just dismembered her due to fear of been accused of the killing or he really did rape &kill her b4 doing that.
