i used to have a Cobra 29 XLR that i put almost 500 dollars worth of work into. it had 108 channels and was 7 watts barefoot. I had at my house a 5/8 ground plane antenna sitting in top of a 4 element horizontal beams. I used to talk all over the US. My handel was Speed Demon unit 802 from central Michigan. I was testing out an antenna for a friend and ended up frying my radio. that was the end of my CB days. I could have fixed it but I was so frustrated that I just gave up on it all. I sold all that was still good and never looked back. but I find I do miss it.

use the cb for receive of traffic and road backups. Suggestion keep the squelch set a bit higher so you don't get those idiots that are cutting in and out.

I wish you were allowed to have someone ride with you but even if you were allowed riders my health won't allow it as I have many chronic health problems including an Aneurysm and a leaking Aortic heart valve besides heart and kidney failure and Diabetic wounds I had a doctor tell me I pretty much have everything wrong with me that I could have wrong with me honestly I am in allot of constant pain therefore I am not enjoying life anymore ! I still miss my 2 jobs it is now 16 years since my problems began and I was put on Disability it sucks not being able to keep up with bills and it sucks !
Being ADL is out of Maryland, do you pay Wisconsin or Maryland income taxes. I’ve always lived in the state I’ve worked so I pay that state’s income taxes. Never lived in a state without income taxes.

Don't Federal regulations limit CB power output? Don't understand how you can get a radio with higher output. I thought you did not like CB radios due to all the trash talk from your fellow drivers. Income taxes, need to simplify. I guess You Tube provides a 1099 you have to pay tax on.
