This PBA Tour Finals has had probably the biggest amount of history made in a while. 1. The Perfect Games - First time 2 300s were bowled on the same day - Last 3 300s were by 2-handed bowlers, 4 of last 5 - Jason becomes the 4th man to bowl multiple televised 300 games - Now 4 300 games have been bowled in the PBA Tour Finals 2. The Match - 1st time the title match is an all-international match - Both players are the most recent Triple Crown winners 3. The Title - 5th of the season for Belmo (last time someone got 5 titles was Parker Bohn III in 2001-2) - 30 titles for Belmo, tying Dick Weber for 7th all-time This show was absolutely amazing to witness.
Poor Dom. The whole crowd was on Belmo's side. He had to feel totally destroyed after that 1st match 300. All momentum on Belmo's side. All the fans on Belmo's side. Just...demoralizing.
Awe, yes, poor, poor professional athlete who makes way more money than me per year, who gets to travel the world to do what he loves most, and who is pretty much the face of the entire European bowling scene. How will he ever recover from that mean, horrible crowd who willed Belmo to victory and perfection...and into the history books yet again? 🙄
@@stevensv4864 it's a strain on lower back as well....if it's an advantage than nothing is stopping other bowlers to do same ...... As long as pins fly that's all that matters...
Not enough can be said about the one handers who still hold the top records for overall titles and bowled with far less advanced equipment to do it. Stay salty 🤣
@@BornIn1500 Why does it matter if players bowl with two hands? Whatever works for them is fine by me. Its clearly worked for Troup and has ESPECIALLY worked for Belmonte.
@@BornIn1500 This is such a poor argument, mainly because two-handed wasn't popularized until very recently when conditions and technology became favorable for the style. Even so, arguably, you would see successful two-handers on short, low-volume, hand-oiled lanes. Give it a few decades and new records might be set. That is, assuming of course, that the number of tier 3 tournaments doesn't continue to dwindle.

When people ask why are you looking down at the approach, it’s just your fault. It’s so damn easy for a drop of sweat to get on the approach you have no idea, especially if it’s hot or a lot of players on the lane.

Also with the perfect games, it was Kyle Troup's first ever televised perfect game throughout his PBA career too. :)
Didn't know any of this. Thank you for the information!

he literally swept the bracket to get there, his luck from his carry just died, and then he faces belmo and loses to a 300
yea well you always gotta expect that when you face belmo(the crowd)

I wonder if belmo is actually respected by other bowlers cuz of the form. Bowls like a 10 year old kid who can't carry that 16 pound ball
