    Ill never understand how these cars in Thailand with 150k on average on them and sitting up to 10 years old still think they can garner 60% to sometimes 70% of the original value - ITS INSANE. If you don't buy a car in the "sweet spot" only a couple years old with low km/miles...your f#@1ked - Research is King. Thanks again for your help navigating this economic madness Jason

      Exactly mate, the price they are asking for these second hand high km average condition cars is crazy, just crazy! Anyway it appears that may change a little with the massive swing towards EV with the Thais and cheap finance, as I mentioned one used dealer I spoke to said his stock just isn’t selling because it’s harder to obtain finance on a used over a new

    Jay bloody blinding video mate. Thanks so much for doing that one mate really enjoyed it. I am ok with a mention of my first name if I can come up with a decent suggestion next time that you are happy with if that's ok with you mate and appreciate your confidentiality without approval but would love a shout out . Car prices are crazy out there. It's a major dilemma whether to buy new or used. I have heard a rumour that if you keep driving diesels on a short journey the catalytic converter suffers or something of that nature, are you able to advise on this as will most likely doing short trips when I move out there. Thanks for mentioning Phoenix mate loved it. So a seat and half passenger seat is available on the Champ and in theory you can get 2 small thais to fit is that right. Many thanks Jay personally this one was one of my favourites and thank you so much keep up the great work

    • @goodvibespattaya2423
      @goodvibespattaya2423  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks mate, yes I will definitely give Nigel a shout out, maybe in the next car video. Used car prices are crazy high but they may start to come back as dealers are struggling to sell old overpriced stock since the EV boom last year where the EV brands were and still are offering very attractive finance offers on brand new cars and I was told, plus finance is harder to obtain on used cars with higher interest rates.
      Okay so with diesel’s - they all have a DPF which stands for Diesel Particulate Filter just like a car converter, the engine management system does periodic DPF cleans, well it actually heats up the DPF to burn build up hence you may have noticed when following cars they might blow thick black smoke for a small amount of time, this is the DPF burn. Diesel’s are fine for short distance city driving and the odd country drive will also help 👍
      Thanks mate, the Champ is a cracking pickup 😊

    Hi Jason! Thanks for another interesting video! Toyota was the first car I bought for my own hard earned money. In fact it was a Hilux, and that hasn`t really changed much since. We needed a truck at my home in Korat back then, so that was my choice for our need. I always thought the suspension was a bit too stiff though, or hard. You notice that very well on the 331 between Bangkok/Pattaya and Korat. But since back then, I have had the pleasure of driving many different cars, and have ended up with my Ford Ranger Raptor today. It has a little better suspension, and it feels more comfortable on the road, especially on the bumpy ones. It doesn`t hurt that I think it`s pretty dang cool as well. Thanks again for these videos, I love them 🥰

      Hi Sarlina, thank you so much for another great comment, always positive and informative for not only me but others reading 🙏
      I actually had a 2017 Hilux dual cab (4 door) equivalent to a Rocco in Australia as a company car and the ride was almost unbearable, so much so that I had to convince the MD to let me change for an SUV with a more compliant ride, however I have driven a current Rocco here and it is much better than the model I had. The Raptor I would think would be a really good ride considering the suspension setup and I hope to one day have a drive of one.

    Hi Jason, I always enjoy the car and truck videos. New or used vehicles, it doesn’t matter. Seeing the different names the manufacturers use overseas is always a hoot. I myself am sporting a 2024 self propelled wheelchair 😅 My last 2 cars were destroyed by drunk drivers. Thankfully I was not in either car at the time. 2 cars totaled in 13 months time. My street is a high traffic road and just my luck I had a bullseye on both vehicles. Since then I’ve decided to go without. Thanks for the showcase, I love cars over trucks also but I’m a bit torn on the decision while living overseas. I’m anticipating your future videos about how you feel between the two choices. Now that you have Miss Piggy, I’m curious to see if you prefer the car over the truck. Thanks again mate, good video today.

      Thanks mate, yep prices are pretty good for diesel pickups here. So you have a RAM 2500 or 3500? I did some work with RAM Trucks Australia when they started importing and converting to RHD and love them, would be cool to have a 1500 Laramie here but a bit thirsty and big for Thailand but I do love them 👍👍👍
