    I got one of these, but it must be faulty. I can still tune in FM bands

      How close to the broadcast towers are you?

      @@k9swx none that close to me. The filter or my sdr must be faulty.

    Hi Stan ! I tested one recently, and found that even if you switch input and output (antenna to output socket), the filter works just as well. I found this rather strange ...

      The protection diode D1 must be connected to the antenna. From Flamingo+ FM page on Nooelec site:
      "Broadcast FM signals can be particularly problematic compared to other signal types due to their amplitude (transmit power) and proximity to residential areas. These signals can overload the front end of an SDR, causing imaging and a number of other issues.
      ...
      Flamingo+ FM has its front end protected by an ESD diode meant for RF applications."

    Is it good for TV? Is it better than the Channel master CM3202? I live next to several FM stations & Airport.

      I've never tried it on the TV nor have I tried the Channel Master. Worth a shot but the Channel Master might be better since it has the correct connectors and the other one has SMA connectors.
