Never heard of these, love springers but in my experience a good one is difficult a bad one heartbreaking. I've had both my last one was bred to be big, about 65 lbs. Gone about a year now, missed daily, he lived 14 1/2 mostly healthy years.
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Sprocker Spaniel. It's evident that you have a deep appreciation for Springer Spaniels, and your experience reflects the highs and lows that come with owning these wonderful dogs. Sprocker Spaniels are a unique and relatively lesser-known crossbreed, resulting from a mix between Springer and Cocker Spaniels. Like their parent breeds, Sprockers can be incredible companions, but, as you've mentioned, the experience can vary based on individual personalities and breeding. It's heartwarming to hear that your last Sprocker, bred to be larger at around 65 lbs, lived a mostly healthy life for an impressive 14 1/2 years. Losing a cherished pet is undoubtedly a difficult experience, and the void they leave behind is profound. It sounds like you have a wealth of experience with these dogs, both the challenges and the joys they bring. Thank you for sharing your story, and I hope that the memories of your last Sprocker continue to bring warmth and love to your heart. If you decide to welcome another furry friend into your life, may it be filled with as much joy and companionship as your previous experiences with Springer Spaniels. 🐾💕
If you live in an apartment DO NOT get a Sprocker Spaniel. These dogs absolutely need exercise and outdoor pursuits almost every day. The video forgot to mention a big positive and that is Sprocker Spaniels are extremely loyal and that same loyalty must be reciprocated by the owner.
We have a sprocker in a house with no yard but he gets at least 90 mins of walk/run per day, off leash in a massive park. He’s chill. Not super affectionate. No separation anxiety. Very sociable. A bit stubborn for sure. Beautiful boy. 😊
I live in apartment makes no odds if I live in a mansion she's by my side no matter what room am in when I leave for work she and my other pup who's a cocker just lay by the door waiting till I come home as I watch them on the cameras so wouldn't say personally the size of your living conditions matter as they sit where I sit and lay by the door till I get home or my neighbour pops in on them
Absolutely, your point about Sprocker Spaniels needing ample exercise and outdoor activities is crucial, especially for potential owners living in apartments. These dogs are known for their high energy levels, intelligence, and a natural instinct for outdoor pursuits, owing to their Springer and Cocker Spaniel heritage. The loyalty of Sprocker Spaniels is indeed a significant positive trait. Their deep devotion to their owners often forms a strong bond, creating a rewarding relationship. It's essential for owners to reciprocate this loyalty with the time, attention, and physical activity these energetic dogs require. Thank you for highlighting this important aspect. Prospective owners should be well aware of the commitment required to meet the physical and mental needs of Sprocker Spaniels, ensuring a happy and fulfilling life for both the dog and the owner. If you're considering bringing a Sprocker into your life, be prepared for an adventure-loving, loyal companion who will thrive with an active and engaged lifestyle. 🐾✨
