    this note tracking modulator is awesome... :D finally don't need to bounce to audio note by note the bass, if you want a changing pattern without issue... bitwig actually quite convincing so far, I demo it at the moment, d as I'm using ableton for years, this daw as close at it gets to help a smooth transition from one daw to another.

    Hello Ralph. Thank you for the content. Can you please do a video to show how we can setup the key tracking modulator one the specific harmonics with EQ+ so as to create our own pitch tracking EQ for the bass. Would we be able to use this modulator to setup up pitch tracking of the bass harmonics in other EQs as well like ProQ3 ?

    • @noizebusters
      @noizebusters  3 года назад +2

      will try to do so..... and yes, you could do a keytracking eq also with pro q3, should be possible in bitwig only

      Agree! I've also started relying less on the 3rd party stuff after switching to Bitwig. But somehow I was avoiding phase4 and fm4 for most parts, doing everything in polys: synth and grid. Will recreate this nice sounding bass and dive deeper into phase4.

    Very good bassline :), but I don't fully get that harmonics part.. so the bassline is being EQ-ed down at the frequencies of the harmonics depending on the note but why? Is it connected to kick somehow? Would you mind explaining a little bit more detailed?

    • @noizebusters
      @noizebusters  4 года назад

      when you change the note in the bass line the cut out frequencies are following... normally the cuts you are doing, are static so only works for the specific root note, and when you change the notes, it would be necessary for the eq to cut out the specific harmonics on the other notes, so this way you are always safe...

    • @xphorm
      @xphorm 4 года назад

      @@noizebusters If you're lowering bassline frequencies not to clash with kick's harmonics, I would say those frequencies are always the same, no matter what bass note is played... Probably I misunderstand some concept here :) But no worries, I'll learn eventually.

    Good Morning Ralph. I have one question if I may ask. Is it worth to switch from Ableton to bitwig? And how fast will I adapt to the program? I've been using ableton for two years and by all means your tracks are huge inspiration to my work,and i would like to hear your thoughts about my questions Thanks in advance

      hi... it depends if its improving your workflow, which happened to me a lot, and i love the modular setup and possibilities,would highly recommend checking out... its not a huge thing to switch... i love it and will continue to use it, they rock

      If I may add too, then I suggest to try Bitwig. I've been a huge Cubase fan for over 10 years, but recent versions and problems made me looking for an alternative. My new DAW of choice is Bitwig, switch was quite easy. C with B are totally different in many ways, yet switch was quite painless. Saying that, B is much more closer in Ableton, so it should be even easier for you. Try a demo and look for yourself.
