There was a lot going on around the signs so easily done but I guess you missed the 2m width restriction there. Have to keep an eye out for those over there or you'll not enjoy some of the smaller villages. Glad you got out of there, safe travels guys
For a few seconds whilst watching I thought you were going to attempt crossing that bridge …… I was shouting Nooooooo ! 😂 You guys need to get yourselves a decent satnav . Always an entertaining watch , looking forward to the next one 😀🇫🇷
Wow what a day ,even with a dedicated day nav, you have to be careful, I was following my friend in his motor home in the lake district, when at a narrow point of a road ,he pulled over to let a vehicle pass and collided with a low stone wall , only slight rear damage but 7k all the same , , hope you get your hinges
How stressful for you. I still dont know how you get down those narrow roads in South Wales. I use a Sat nav that let us put the dimensions and weight/Height of the van in so it will avoid those narrow roads, low bridges & weight limits. I'll let you know if that works for us when we hit France in 11 days 😉
Hi guys great vlog again well done for the reversing of that bridge daz its quite the reality its its only you who can get it out as the driver, as for the door you probably could have bought some back flap hinges as a temporary fix . Still looking forward to following you over the next 12 weeks of your adventure take care the gowerz Portsmouth xx
Haha! We spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to find new blue toilet chemicals.as we had run out. But the smells have been fine as we can change the cassette so frequently here in France. We've been lucky enough to be on a site for the last week with friends waiting for the door hinges.... time is ticking though and they haven't arrived 😔
Hi guys sorry about the toilet door hope you get it fixed put a tension rod across with shower curtain 🤔 maybe that bridge was scary. Hope things settle down. The beaches are great love your walks with Sammy. The boys are enjoying it hope things get better I am sure they will 😊
I must say, with no disrespect, that this episode has seemed like one of those that were created for that great DIY 'expert' Mr Michael Crawford.😂😂 You have reacted as calmly as you could and I applaud that you didn't need to bellow those comic words of Corporal Jones ('Don't panic '!!). Possibley that happened off camera?!. You are an amazing team and I eagerly await your upcoming adventures.!
@@EscapeintheMotorhome Thanks for you positive receipt of my comments. I always wondered if the trials and tribulations of van issues were intentional or just plain bad luck. Probably the latter but if I was in your position I'd try to find qualified experts to do the 'technical' fixes. Sorry to compare your situations with dads army and some mothers do have 'em'!
@@sound2photo haha don't you worry. Trust me we are having a fair share of super bad luck on the first leg of this journey. Two more pretty awful things have happened since this video... Though we are a little behind on editing while being away ATM! But you have some genuine awful mistake-based disaster vlogs to come. We're due some good luck soon!
I bought a tomtom620 pro which design for truck.lorry ,motorhome etc ,u can set size of motorhome so it can auto avoid most of narrow road, weak bridge etc, it worth to buy and make motorhome life muh easy. Don't use google map.
Why didn't you get out of the van and see that it was too narrow for Daz to go through. I would never just sit in the van and expect the driver to have to manoeuvre.
Oh no! How frustrating. Hope you get sorted very soon. Btw Google Maps are fantastic but sadly not for motorhomes (as I found out the hard way). You need a mapping app or device suitable for a motorhome as it will take into account the size of your vehicle and not send up impassable roads. Enjoy the rest of your trip hopefully without further incident!
@@EscapeintheMotorhome So easy to do I know! 🤞that’s the last of your troubles and you have a carefree, relaxing stay. Looking forward to seeing how you get on! Have fun!
You guys do love a narrow road!😂 You seem to find them everywhere you go!😢
You're right 🤪

Right googling those now! Going to keep a beady eye out for them. 🙏

A single track road too far - you met your nemesis there! Great episode😀
A bridge on a lock 😯 It still gives him nightmares 😭

Ah hi Gowers! Great to hear from you! Glad you're following 😀👋❤️
5:19 Traffic signs prohibiting caravans, vehicles over 3.5t and vehicles exceeding 2m. Those signs meant you couldn't get through 😀
Needed to see that sign but we didn't😔 silly us 😞
Oh dear. What a day. But you handled it. Full marks to the French drivers and well done you. How's the bathroom smells or is it Don't ask.

You guys really need a motorhome sat nav. They are great. Wouldnt be without ours. It is a Garmin.
I feel we are going to need to splash out...

I don't know why we keep doing it! We never learn!
I'd say possible that mirror is to heavy for the bathroom door
Ooo! Never thought of that! Thanks 🙏
@@EscapeintheMotorhome I always replace mirrors with the plastic ones

Don't think we realised until it was too late.
As a international lorry driver you need to fix you passenger mirror the French police love giving fines out
I agree! The moho is a money pit ATM x
