I did this in December 2014 and it was my hardest walk. I originally tried a different route but failed to reach the top. The following day I managed it along what I think was the same route as yours.
Fantastic and a quite hard walk I believe. Incredible views! I did a much easier walk February 2019 in the neighbouring area. Above the beach from Playa Cantarrijàn over Cerro Caleta with a view to Nerja and down to Cala del Cañuelo. This was a guided group walk with the autor Chris Stewart.
Hi Torunn - Sorry for the slow reply. We have made a note of this walk and we will give it a go next time we are in the Nerja region ( Hopefully later in the year 😊 ) I have read the first and second of his books and love the area, but have never met him.
Hi Torunn - If you love Spain then Picos de Europa in north Spain is a great place to go hiking and there are plenty of organised hiking group is that area as well. Also where we have just visited Grazalema back in the south is also great. Happy hiking D & B
@@hikingwithdaveandbarbara8629 No problem :-) Thank you for your answer. This walk is neither long nor especially strenous, but with lovely views. Here it is (very short video with map) :) www.relive.cc/view/v36AdGYGZGO. I have read all his 5 books, and been two times in Ferreirola (April 2016 + Feb 2019) for a week of guided walks with him as an entertaining and very skilled guide. I will go again when it is possible to travel. Yes, I am from Norway :)
Awesome views!
One of my favourite walking days ever too. Great scenery, lovely company and we all got back in time for beer!
