I did that back in the early 90s when it was derelict and closed off to the public. I took photos with my brother jumping over big gaps in missing bridge sections, so unsafe, I can't believe we did that now when I look back.
This has not been the scariest trail since they closed the old one. It was in a terrible state thus making it dangerous. I arrived here in 2004 and saw the state of the old route and still have many photos of it. I have done it in its current state 3 times and it is a fantastic walk. I stopped by as I was going over some 450 photos I have of the walks. I live down the road in Antequera now 17 years so visit the area regularly as I fly a drone by the lakes a lot. A fantastic area with so much to do, in summer you will see a few thosand people per day around the 3 huge lakes there.
It’s interesting to hear all these different experiences! I bet those photos from the old trail bring back some wild memories. This place really does seem to have transformed into a must-see spot in the area!
I've watched this video at least 5 times. My partner and I used your Spain and Portugal video's to help plan our trip. Didn't end up happening because of Covid, but we'll get there yet.
2KS2K awww, I’ve only just read this kind message. I’m so glad you enjoy watching it. Makes all the hours of editing - worth it! I’m so sorry you didn’t make it to Spain and Portugal. It’s so sad what’s happening there at the moment. I pray for their people, and hope that life can get back to normal as soon as possible. 🤍🤍🤍 Thank you again for the love and support. We really do appreciate it during these trying times ✨
Wow. Thank you so much for your beautiful words. 🥰😍❤️ Feeling the love right now! Thank you for your radiant energy and kind compliments! Sending love, Kristina xx
I've never been to Spain and most likely won't get to go there anytime soon but you have showed me some very beautiful places there and i thank you. Breath taking and stunning places. PS tell John he looked good in the hair net lol.
Video very helpful thanks a million..I have this booked for November with my two grandchildren 11 & 12 and I get dizzy standing on a chair Ha!! .. so it will be exciting to see what happens.. it looks spectacular looking forward to looking at your other videos
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I've been wanting to do the El Caminito del Rey for maaany many years now. Finally, I booked the trip for this June. After seeing where you've stayed, I made a reservation at El Chorro for one night and got a great deal! Can't wait for June to come! Many, many thanks! I'll check your other videos for more valuable tips.
My family and I are going to Spain next year, and were thinking of going to the southern part. My parents aren’t interested in this, so cross your fingers that I can talk my brother into it 😝
Brings back good memories - I took my dad there (a climber) and did the old one after I graduated in 2008 - it looks alot tamer now - but still spectacular :-)! (Didn't know about the potential for a fine at the time - perhaps that came in later!). El Chorro was nice - out of the way in those days. I don't know if it's still true but El Chorro was a "request stop" you could ask them to stop the train there, otherwise it carried on.
You are way too kind! Thank you! I’m currently working on some travels through the Greek islands! I’ll upload it over the next couple of days! Thanks for your kind words - inspires me to make more videos for you x 🥰🥰
I hiked this in 1995…. I suppose I was one of those trespassers…no rails, no helmets, no harness., half the path fallen away and iron girders to step on over open gaps to the cliff bottom…… Then it was dangerous for sure…. Sorry but there is no danger on this present day tourist version. Nice video though
While the trail renovations are really well done, I do wish the older path would have also been maintained as a via ferrata. It's a great location for it and there are many people who could traverse it safely. Personally, I'd love to be able to hike the path, then use the old path as a means of returning to the start. Thanks for the video.
Repair Plus - thank you so much for your support ☺️ yes, I do mention this in the video and show the old path beneath the new one. I hope you enjoyed the video ☀️
The old "Caminito del Rey" was scary. This is safe, what are you talking about ? I guess you have never been on some mountain trails or some really scary fenceless hiking trails
damn - haha, but still scary for people who are extremely afraid of heights. It takes your breath away! Many of our friends can’t even watch the video it makes them feel sick! 🙃

When a woman like this is doing something credited as being 'dangerous', it isn't dangerous anymore. In fact, it's as safe as getting her nails done. Bless.

Hi 2bsure we are heading to Seville & Malaga for a 1 week vacation, is it still nice to do this activity in November?
@@danyfilion6024 Hi Dany, we did it end of Nov and it was great. I agree with the top comment. It's not scary at all.
I did the old one. Scariest afternoon of my life. Actually thought that I wasn't going to make it back.
Is it really hard for people who are new super fast but are getting fit😊

... was "one of the" most scariest, not now. It is just simply an entertainment for tourist
It’s incredible!!! Still scary if you’re afraid of heights haha 😝

it is really well produced :)
Before they repaired it was truly terrifying but the scariest one always remains Huashan in China.
this is undisputed :O 😬
Insane!!! Great video, felt like I was right there for the walk! What an incredible find.. might to do it one day. Also love the "winding road" 😉
Haha! Thanks legend! 😊😊😊

Ohh it's me!!! How have I found this video? 🤪 Good job, great video.
very beautiful.
One thing on my bucket list is to sit on a a tall mountain like that and just play a guitar for hours, just chilling, away from my troubles
Wow!!!Loved it!!! Great video.
🇪🇸💚✌️🇪🇸💚✌️🇪🇸✌️✌️😘 España te espera.
Wish you would visited this place 6 years ago and done a video.
Me too!!
Not sure I would have survived the trail though!!! 😳😳😳😂
Amazing!! Must to see!! :-D What is the music?
Thank you so much! I use Epidemic Sound! 😁 It’s a subscription based non copyright music website 😃
This is so cool.
So glad you enjoyed it! :)
Awesome episode!!! Did you feel unsafe at any time on the walk though? 🙄
Vincent Choi Thanks for the love! 😁 I was def scared!!! Scared = Shaky legs = Nerves = Concern = Brain to go cray cray crazy!!!!!
You should watch the video filmed 8 years ago before the new path was built , that ones scariest
clearly not the most dangerous path anymore. in 2015 the current path you are walking on was placed and it has become a tourist attraction.
Repair Plus - thank you so much for your support ☺️ yes, I do mention this in the video and show the old path beneath the new one. I hope you enjoyed the video ☀️
I have SEVERE vertigo. If there were no side rails, and I looked over, my body would automatically follow from absolutely no balance.
We survived🙌🙌🙌
Ohhh did you do this? So glad to hear! Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! 😃
Malaga 💖💖
❤️❤️❤️
Very enjoyable video.
Griffon vultures I assume. Such graceful soarers
Do I need to buy a ticket to get in? How does that work?
How much time should one devote to doing the hike? I think you mentioned 4 hrs. Is that just the hike or does it include the shuttle bus ride ?
What is name of the resturant with a view after the hike?
NICE!!!
It was amazing!!! Great!!!
It is, isn’t it!! Just an incredible place ❤️☺️
Is this a good activity to do in November?
nuoviso brought me here :)
It looks like you were unprepared for this hike. Wrong shoes, no backpacks? 🤦🏻♀️
I think Rey means king not death ??
The old "Caminito del Rey" was scary. This is safe, what are you talking about ?
I guess you have never been on some mountain trails or some really scary fenceless hiking trails
Not scary ever since they redid the whole thing
Wow! Ok done this and its beautiful but NOT at all dangerous or scary. Its an easy 6km most people walk at a snails pace and do the tour.
It was scary for some! :)
Yeah, you're a few years too late sadly. At least you got to go on a nice tourist walkway.
*was the most dangerous hikr
damn - haha, but still scary for people who are extremely afraid of heights. It takes your breath away! Many of our friends can’t even watch the video it makes them feel sick! 🙃
Now it's Just going on suspended bridge. The most Dangerous ahahahaha
Did this last week, shat myself haha
Hahaha!!!! Legend! Well done for facing your fear! :)
ges, you and taking world scariest hike?! And second is was one of the most dangerous hikes.
Seriously, better you than me..
😂😂😂😂🙈🙈🙈🙈
😅😅😅😅😅
I still have no clue where to start where to go how much time it takes, basically no info about this trail. It's not a guide
As if you only have 5k subscribers you deserve more!
I agree:)
Is this a SA accent?
Bunny Bgood -- wow!!!!!! 10 points!!!!!!! 🙌🏽😱✨👏
this "was" one of the worlds most dangerous places.

Is this an actual hike? Looks more like a glorified stroll on man made walkways
Nice view but i stopped the video half way because I can't stand those squeaking sounds she is making :D is that just me ?
Sorry! I get a little over excited sometimes!
