Dorrian Porter takes the stage at Last Gadget Standing hosted by David Pogue at the 2018 CES show. David Pogue says "The truth is I'm in love with this"
I want this so bad but the price is so high. I would like to see them make all different sizes to accommodate more people to get in. It’s so beautiful. In person it’s amazingly cool to watch.
This is an architectural/technological statement piece that has the opportunity to dress up any window, lobby, conference room, store, home, etc. either to display handwritten / input text art or a curated news feed.
The letters look solid black in this video. The photography looks way better, and the board and bits look the same. Will the shipping product look like the video or photos?
@@Minwary make sure you check our instagram.com/vestaboard to see photos from our events like New York last night - all pre-order customers are very happy seeing it in person - note that the video above was at CES last year when we showed one character unit and a digital prototype to represent what it would do - now we are deploying the real thing
I love it but I cant find anyone who has received one of these units and reviewed them and now they're doing another round of sales for the next iteration. Its very tempting to buy but I fear I would be punting $$ into the oblivion for a product that may never be fulfilled. Has anyone reading bought one, been using it and care to give us a review?
They start shipping Spring 2020 in rolling groups based on earliest deposits that have fully paid balances. Balances are due mid each month this year from January through May. Most should ship April through September 2020 based upon present production estimates on the secure site that you can only access if you have paid the deposit. I checked it just now. If any customers don't pay their deposit balances prior to the balance due date, customers of later shipping groups will be advanced up and shipped early. There were as of December 19th only about 600 customers with balances paid in full of the 3,500 inventory they plan to produce this in 2020, so there should be amply opportunity to have one.
I bought mine through my kid’s school auction which was the founding edition. And to be fair it was over a year before I received it. But I did receive it and it was no longer in black and white it arrived in the beautiful spectrum of the rainbow. Now I just need customer support to respond to my emails and send me the verification code. It is beautiful and magical not mention quietly satisfying as it flips through the bits! I really love it just really want to get it working as designed!
If only they can make it stream live stock quotes or news. Now THAT would be cool. This seems more like a rich kids show off toy or maybe might appeal to some accounting nerds
But... but why? Why? Tell me, please :D Why? Ahh... Now I have to buy a new drawer, because Vestaboard already does not fit into my old drawer. It is full of another useless machines. All because of you.

check out remotesign.mixmox.com/ you can use any PC monitor to simulate such a sign!
Dale Schultz but you don’t get the cool mechanical noise. There is something to be said about a physical object.
@@SerendipitousProducts RemoteSign does do the sounds....
Dale Schultz it’s not the same. There’s a reason I use a Polaroid camera. It’s about the medium. Having a physical object is way better then digital.
I will wait until the Chinese copy it and mass produce it.
Beautiful and magical 😊
I hope the finished product looks great. Can’t wait to see it in NYC next week
We will call it finished when it is in your home! The first build is beautiful though and will be surprised if you don't love it!

100% agree with you. It has to match the photo sample otherwise it's a deal breaker for me!

@@marisolvilla7326 Thanks, I ended up buying one and am happy with it, I plan to use it as an interactive menu on a food truck I'm building
I would like to put this on my window, the one facing the street.
Knew he was Canadian the second he said "aboot 2 of them"
Just one question - why?
I want one in my house! And I don't mean to brag but among my family, I am an influencer. ;)
I will buy this for 100 dollars

Too expensive
