I'm a keyboard "hobbyist" and have a background in marketing. I personally do not have an issue with companies branding their boards. Especially when it is done tastefully. Also, some of these companies use the standard template to the point where it's hard to tell at first glance who actually made it, so I totally understand wanting to put some branding on them. Outside of that, really enjoy your VOD edits. I literally watch them everyday. I have to stop by a live stream soon. Thanks for the vid! 👍
It seems most smaller companies forget how important tasteful and impactful branding is for products... Especially keyboard companies. I know it's probably an afterthought in many companies which results in "lazy" branding.
@@albertko1 i feel like the hobby sorta shows the branding through their keyboard designs like gok for example. you know its a gok board just from a glance by it's design language.
the screen is no good but I love the colors. The green/blue/pink ones look really good to me and visually it's at least more interesting than most popular 75s. A little pricey for a pre-built but if you like the look and the switches are good (aka aren't gonna swap stuff out) then I don't think it's too bad. release as a barebones, foam it up and I think it would be a great pick up for some people
some dude at a swap meet or garage sale in 20 years is gonna be super happy they put their name on there 😂 i personally dont have any problem with branding in general, but it should be part of the design to make the board that much more unique - in this case the name is way too big and I personally hate the font, but it might be okay if it was smaller while doing the "o" part of the logo large like alex suggests
The plate looks like if offers stepped cap too, maybe an R2 of PCB to offer soon? And could do plateless with the board too (if there will be soldered pcb)
Maybe id say something different if I heard it IRL, but that spacebar hits like a truck to me and I love it. But if you can feel the bar hit the case I can def see how that would be annoying. Seems like a decent pickup though
I hope someone can answer this, because I sure can't on my own. Does anyone know where that orange usb-c cable is from that Alex uses? I really like but I have no idea where he got it.
Why is it so hard to find a high quality full 100% keyboard? I can't find a nice keyboard for work and I need the numpad very much day to day. Is the market for keyboards without numpads really that big?
Keyboards with screens look so dated. And the screen takes away from any beauty that it could have had. I don't understand, why would you put a screen on a keyboard, your using a screen with your computer already, so why would you want to look at that tiny low-res thing when you could be using your monitor with HDR and high resolution. The branding on that back is also a little too much. If they are going to make their name that big they should at least pick a nice font and make it transparent to lower the contrast. It's way too loud. That is not a smidge empty that is horrible sounding. That foam didn't help at all. The keyboard is a failure.
nah youre right, it is a contradiction and I'll reword that here, good call out! So, I do not like logos for the most part and yes it is hidden on the bottom so there is that, but in the overall design I'd rather not have a giant word reminding me what board I have.
I don't think I was all that positive about parts I didn't like about the board, I think it's just the way I bring things up and speak. The board has some interesting and neat parts too it that I feel are fair to call out and point out! Being honest doesn't always mean being mean or angry.

Definitely agree that the flexibility of different layout options in the board is a luxury that we're losing a bit in the hobby.

It looks like the qk75n but the separate piece of bar on the function keys is interesting.
Anyone know are the key caps on that sonnet? The grey ones? Alex’s aesthetics always on point
Idk, alu case at 215 full built is pretty budget imo tbh. Though I would definitely enjoy a non built version. Definitely a work keyboard.

What's the keyboard on top?
I hope someone can answer this, because I sure can't on my own. Does anyone know where that orange usb-c cable is from that Alex uses? I really like but I have no idea where he got it.
what is that mousepoad?
I like your keyboard USB cable. Where can I get it?
man, i really gotta know what that mousepad is!!
What cable is that?
Is it the epomaker one?
by the way, what is the best 75% kit or keyboad now?
What’s the name of the 65xt keyboard at the top of the video?
Also wondering the same
Mode sonnet
That is the Mode Sonnet. One of the better 75% keyboards if you ask me.
That's not a Sonnet. What are u guys smoking?
@@ivoverhoef1160that’s not the keyboard he’s asking about , put the weed down

Zoom98
Qk100
215$ to have the Walmart logo on the back is crazy
what are the keycaps on the sonnet behind?
Probably Keykobo Vibrato Set.
At 215, there are better options from companies like Neo with far more build options.
Alex tries really hard to not be rude here lol
That logo ruins it for sure. Don't be afraid to say it

he contradicted himself with the logo thing lmao. "dont put the logo" "it doesnt matter cause you cant see it" he was just complaining lol

Sounds horrible
It's funny Alex is the nicest guy but you can tell when he doesn't like a product he's paid to review. lol
