I have a problem with my screen filler. Even though I stirred it really well, it's so thin it just falls straight through the screen & I can't pull it across the screen. What do I do?

I worry that when pulling the squeegee across it might drag the drawing fluid with it, as it doesn't seem to get totally dry, even after leaving it for a long time?
if your drawing fluid is still tacky to the touch, it's likely that the particular area has too much drawing fluid and was applied a bit too thick. if possible, we'd recommend removing the excess drawing fluid with a damp paper towel and then reapplying a thin layer of fluid to ensure it's not disturbed when the filler is introduced.
When using drawing fluid should I go over the design more than once? I struggled to get the screen filler off the design and damaged my screen. This is my first try.
As long as the holes in the mesh are fully coated you would not need to go over it more than once! To remove screen filler we recommend using the Speed Clean screen filler remover.
I know this is an older video but maybe someone can help me - every time I apply the screen filler, the drawing fluid image is damaged. I'm only doing one sweep with the screen filler, but the drawing fluid just seems to melt off. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? It's happened three times now.
This is my first time using a screen print kit and the fluid smeared when I gently ran my finger over part of it after waiting about 10-15 minutes, so I stood in front of a fan for a few minutes until I could run my finger over it without it smearing. It didn’t smear when I went over it with the filler Now when I did further research there are ppl who let the fluid set for a day THEN let the filler set for a day…safest cleanest way. So I’m going to wash my fluid out in the morning with COLD WATER then try to paint tomorrow
Hello. If I use the screen block on top of photoemulsion (I only want to block out parts on a previously exposed screen), can I still remove it without damaging the photo emulsion? Thank you

Happy to try to help. When painting your image on the screen, did you apply thin layers of the fluid on a slightly elevated screen? You should not see any beads of blue fluid when applying as these ares are unlikely to dry to the point where they won't move when the Filler is used. Also, if you live in a humid area, we would recommend helping the dry time along with something like a fan or hairdryer (on low setting so as not to melt the screen mesh).
My filler went through the screen big time. I've used the product and made shirts before but today for some reason it went through and dried really thick. Anybody else had this problem before?

Screen Filler is used in conjunction with the Drawing Fluid and is a separate method from Photo Emulsion. The Drawing Fluid is the product used to create the image and the Screen Filler provides a resist that covers the remaining areas of the screen. The Drawing Fluid is water-soluble, so once products are allowed time to drive and the screen is washed with water, only the Screen Filler remains -- this allows the ink to only pass through the screen where the design is and transfers the image from screen to project (paper, fabric, etc.)
While sometimes it can be helpful to have one video of the entire process, sometimes it is beneficial for tutorial style videos to break the videos into separate steps so it is easy to find just one part and repeat watch it if needed without having to fast forward through a long video!
Screen filler takes 3-4 hours to dry if anyone's wondering

Actually it depends on what kind of screen filler you use , some can dry upwards of a third of that time .

I had this problem too. My screen filler was very thin . I see you poured a line. Mine just went right through. Bought it about a month ago
