I was just thinking on my ride home this morning that I'm due to clean and oil my BMC filter. Now that you dropped the peer pressure I'm eyeballing that roll of gold tape on the bench. Just sayin 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@jjmax2007 Instead of buying a new bike I updated my 2012. Everything but the engine has be off this thing recently. It turned out fantastic. I was checking my Translogic quickshifter installation before final reassembly and forgot the gold tape and fresh plugs. Just didn't have the juice to disassemble it again right then.

@chadrichards8930 yes yes I did see a difference in temp so the fan on my bike kicks in a 195 right I put my cluster to see the air temp same roads same time of day it seem to run a small bit cooler and the fan seem to turn off sooner than normal it could just be in my head but I see a difference on cluster and the fan biggest changes

not sure if it is a good idea to wrap it because the heat evacuation will be different

      What do u mean ??

When manufacturing motorcycles, the parts and materials used are designed with heat management in mind, and changing this on your own can alter the wrong way how heat is dissipated.
That's why I stick to design elements and consumables when 'tuning' my ride.
Furthermore what you did may cancel the road homologation or specific safety and norms

@MrZobiwan oh awesome I didn't know that but my bike is not stock or setup for stock use meaning my exhaust is not factory the manufacturer did not design my bike to look the way it looks today for instance I don't have a factory intake or exhaust system so the temp of the bike is cooler than stock umm. The mirrors on the bike is small so there is less drag on the front end of the bike I put the temp tape cause seems right since the bike is not currently how the manufacturer sold it to me..... thanks for the heads up tho
      Cheers

I agree with you. I did a lot of design modification on my CBR and I like it better this way.
Here in France, a few times, some cops told be my wing shaped mirrors and my exhaust (uk - black widows - not road homologated in EU) where not complying the legal policies....I've never been fined for this, but I know that if I come across a policeman who's a bit zealous, he'll fine me...
