I have the same unit and I go 45 through 2 foot whoops with no problems. But this is my first sxs so I dont know what to compare it to. I did order a DRS kit this week and looking forward to gaining ride height and not bucking on jumps.
Bought mine about a month ago, one ride and off to the fab shop. I'm curious as to what can be done to make it even better. Decided not to wait for the desert tan. Now I can do my own color combo's
Need a revisit video, 2021 has no nasty bite , stock . They were listening and fixed it . Just rolled the dice and got my 21 xrs rr done by you , with ris , dsc adj and rebuild. Small chop chatter are worse than stock wich wasn't great to start with . The wife's boobys are NOT happy. No do difference in comfort to sport to sport plus now . big stuff , woops and big hits awesome! Bump stage awesomeness , rear seems to bottom out easier than before , controlable thanks to the dsc's . Still in communication with them. Still have faith you guys are the real mf'n deal ! We'll see how it plays out..
If you can't separate the coupling of rebound from compression , the system is fatally flawed. That's why it gets precipitously stiff at bigger whoops, the cranked rebound packs the wheel down causing the abrupt slam, despite cranked compression.
In my opinion the smart shock system works really good, I know you guys do this for a living so with that being said you're going to trash talk the smart shock system to keep customers coming to you......
First, you can have your opinion. I love that you like your smart shox. Second, we can have our opinion too. One thing we do NOT do is lie about things, hold back our opinion to make someone happy or bash thing so we could possibly get more work. Simply put, we don't need to do that to get the work.
That wire that’s coming of the bottom of the shock seems to be upside down. The wire should be facing up the shock. Is the shock polarity sensitive? I ask because one of mine was also pusiste down and I corrected it. Is that correct?
I just bought this same unit in triple black And wanted to known how much to rework the smart shocks and springs on the unit?I bought this because of back injury needing the softest ride to enjoy.I have ridden bikes and quads all my life and was told I could no longer do that and am forced to go to UTV’s
That's pretty cool but... it seems the more you overtake the plumbing the more you need a laxative! What happens when your hard on the trail that system takes a crap?
Smart shox are actually "smarter" lol. But they, in my opinion, don't ride as nice as the Dynamix yet. They will far surpass them in time as the system is dialed in.
So for those of us that are sticking with older models is the best option for "smart technology" going to be IQS? Or will any of this technology from the smart shox system be retrofittable to older models? Looking to do shock upgrades to my 2018.5 x3 xrs in the spring.
What’s the best way to use the buttons on the smart shox? Can we switch modes on the fly like coming up before whoops to sport plus? Or do we have to stop to change the mode?
Hello, I have a Maverick X3XRS Smart Shox 2021 and I have bought sway bar links from Shock Therapy. However, around 200miles after installing them I started getting a Suspension Fault Code C2D10. Is it possible that the fault comes from the fact that I have only changed the sway bar links but I haven't changed the sway bar? Or I should look for the problem somewhere else? Best regards and thank you very much in advance!
Good question. Links and other “hard” parts don’t affect the system. But, other “soft” changes can affect the computer. Ride height changes, faulty electrical connects, ext. There are at least two recalls for this sort of thing and the dealer has a new Re flash to cure them. If it’s a connection they can see that as well and fix it. 👍🏼 good luck
Any update on these SmartShox? My buddy is at Chaparral right now and the sales man is telling him not to get the SS. He says it learns how you drives and wil take the fun out of driving it. lol now i know he is a salesman but was curious if anyone can confirm what he is saying,
I am thinking of purchasing a can am x3 Max but I wanted to know if it’s worth purchasing the 72” width over the 64” machine? I was think of buying the 64 and putting spacers but I saw one of your videos were you don’t recommend adding spacers because they changes the geometry. Can you please advise? Great videos! I have learned a lot.
I have a question ( I don’t know English very well, so I can’t watch all video), what is better for Baja racing or similar events? Stock xrs shocks or smart shox? And what about durability? Pls answer
So do you think the bite is due to manual valving discs or in the programming of the SS system itself? Also, there are a lot of us that are getting an exclamation point indicator on the display, any idea what may be causing that?
@@ShockTherapyllc I should see my car by January, will you have the software by then? I would also like a spring kit, can I get them in the desert tan?
Whats better turbo s dynamics suspension vs an x3 xrc stick suspension? Im in between dynamics and a x3 xrc stick suspencion, what rides better ? For trails

Does Dynamix DV have a shaft speed sensor?
No.
Did the software tuning ever come to pass?
It exists. Launching in 2-3 months

The spring kit is $920. The internal shock work and bypass tube up grade is $1150. It is incredibly smooth and plush after those.
That's pretty cool but... it seems the more you overtake the plumbing the more you need a laxative! What happens when your hard on the trail that system takes a crap?

Whats your pick? Dynamix or Smart Shox?

IQs for sure. It would be well over $10 k to purchase all the sensors and arms and computer and loom fir a smart shock system if is ever available.
I just had one of your dealers here in Utah install your Duel-Rate springs on my 2019 Maverick Sport XRC. What would be the advantage to do valving?
The spring kit makes a 30-40% improvement to the ride quality. The valving makes a 60-70% improvement. The two together are the best the UTV can be.
What’s the best way to use the buttons on the smart shox?

Switch it on the fly

That is ridiculous honestly. It’s a killer system that works great.

You answered you own question, go with 72
72 always. Never a 64. The bypass shocks alone are worth $5k a set and the option upgrade cost for a 72 is only $2500.
Thank you!

@@ShockTherapyllc why do you think so?
So do you think the bite is due to manual valving discs or in the programming of the SS system itself? Also, there are a lot of us that are getting an exclamation point indicator on the display, any idea what may be causing that?
It is programming. But we have been able to overcome that. 👍
@@ShockTherapyllc ill be in touch when its out of the fab shop.
Can u flip the smart shox, is there anything I would have to do to the shox? Can am Maveric turbo RR 2021 xrs
When you say flip do you mean turn them upside down? If so yes you can. They don’t care.
When you offer the software update, will that be something the owner can do or will the shocks have to be sent to you?
That will be done by you. You don’t have to send the shocks in.

Turbo s. But once they are both played with by us the x3 is better
Are the electronic shocks worth it?
I think they are. You just need to tune them a bit to love them
Justin is getting pretty proud of himself there’s plenty of people that have already taken delivery of these 🤣
Paid for mine a month ago. Still no word on its arrival.
