I thought there might be a full night market and what cool market it is - all the people came out to see famous RUclipsr - Walkabout Wayne 😃👌👋👍🙏 - great video
You got the Raiders tee, innit? NIIICE! FROM UK TO TH, TO OAKLAAAAAND TO LAS VEGAS!!!!!!!!!!! RAIDERS NATION! Wow, Chaing Dao is such a vibrant spot! Mighty Proper! I swear, Sir, this mountain is so so so magically peculiar! I am sure it holds many many secrets!
Vegetarian restaurants offer more than usual, vegetarian food is usually quite expensive, and the rice they give you is called brown rice, which is unpolished rice. Which has all kinds of vitamins much better than white rice.😲😊👍🌾
Great little market with not too many people. Happy days. I bet that veg feast hit the spot at the end of the day. Awesome buy on the Raiders tshirt. That might be the perfect shirt to wear if you ever revisit our beloved Arsh hotel... 🤣 I'm not going to touch your "better than..." comment. That's just making it too easy for me Wayne. 😁
The unknown and getting lost is the great part of traveling. Can't do that with a tour. But I do that too. Just not a bar guy, so need other adventures. ( Didn't say no bar girls.).
Nice one Randy, happy that the picture is ok. I think more travel vlogs are going to be the future of the channel. I'll stay based in Chiang Mai and head off of trips. I was surprised to get noticed in Chiang Dao mate haha.
Hi Wayne, I was the one that said hello in the market, I didn't want to disturb you too much. Your right it's a great area, especially with that mountain
Good choice buying the raiders shirt while you could. I'm sure we will find a way to make that offensive soon and change the name of the team. Get it while you can.
@@WalkAboutWayne Let me know if we can play at the club sometime.. it's on the grounds of the football stadium about a mile north of the Chang Phueak Gate. I'm leaving on the 9th.
Nice video. I've never seen a Brit talk about liking American football. That was quite surprising. Usually they like to talk about the Wayne Rooney football :p O and that guy from Snatch that became the movie star. He used to play for Manchester I think :p
Growing up in the UK, we use to have a Saturday morning show about the NFL. I watched it every week. Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders, Dan Marino. Loved it. Vinnie Jones was the player in Snatch, played for Chelsea and Wimbledon.
I would like a Seahawks one mate, but never see any. Man City, could be worse mate 🤣. Celtic are tough as nails, don't mess with the Scotish. Nice one Paul.
The air quality looks ok eh, food prices are the same as that for suburban BKK You've got to hit the food stalls at 5 pm to get the best variety n flavor ..
@@WalkAboutWayne bro, you should consider visiting East Malaysia, the air quality is really good as it has a Tropical Rainforest n you'll probably like it there .. There are quite a few Brits in Malaysia as it was a former colony n you'll get a 3 month visa
@@WalkAboutWayne hey thanks for the reply I was in chaing mai over December and visited pai next time I'm in chaing mai I plan to visit chaig dao . Is there much accommodation there is the best place to stay in the centre... was this market and the bus station near to the centre
No worries 👍. Yes, plenty of budget places to stay in the town center. I don't know about the bus station because I ride a motorcycle. I did see the bus going right through the town though, so easy to get off in the town.
@@WalkAboutWayne hey there thanks for the reply like I say I'm planning on visiting chaing dao nxt time I'm in chaing mai but I prefer not to book my accommodation before I actually arrive at the destination I find it hads to the adventures if you just land somewhere and sort it out there and then 😀 ...
I'm definitely picking up on that vibe you're loving Wayne. It's definitely bringing back memories of Chiang Mai from the late 80s, and that peaceful, warm Northern Thailand feel I guessed had changed. If Chaing Dao has all you need and is that happy place, then why not give it a go? It's not far from Chaing Mai so you could always breeze in for adays there if you start missing the rat race.
That night market was a surprise Wayne . Is it a daily or weekend market only ?. The locals all came out of the woodwork . I love solo travelling for the people you meet & hook up but i imagine vlogging leaves you a bit solitary . So where's your "Buy me a Green Tea " link ? .Before you say it it's not begging . I would have forced down another green tea to find out that Phuket ladies back story in your viewpoint vlog . Every solo traveller has a story
It was a big surprise to see the amount of people at the night market. I've been told, that this market is only on Thursday nights. Vlogging has really helped me, i never feel alone with the camera. My pride gets in the way of having a "buy me a coffee" link Paul. Maybe I'm being stupid. Sometime i think i should do what everyone else does for all the work we put in. The lady was really nice. I would never ask to much without planning and asking first. I have some other vlogs where I'm chatting to people and i have more coming soon. Cheers Paul.
Wayne I look at " buy me a coffee " differently . A lot of time , expense & effort go into content creation . When I give it is a small appreciation to say " thanks " . It also feels good to give & receive
That is one wonderful town. So Clean. Amazing! I would move there, maybe. I saw nothing to complain about in this video, unfortunately. Except for one thing. I detest Pro Sports. All sports are good, except for professional sports. (Competitive sailing is great. And, rowing shells, is an amazing sport. But, nobody pays you to row. You gotta pay for the privilege. Maybe you should give up on all types of football, and watch rowing and sailing.) While you are in Chiang Dao, maybe you could show a few condos or small houses. That kind of info would be invaluable.
Nice one mate! It's a great town. GIVE UP ON FOOTBALL!!! never say them words ever again 🤣. Football and sport is my religion buddy, without it, i would be lost. If i was in Chiang Dao long enough, i would but i don't have time, Maybe next time.
I never pay with card Herman, i always use cash or make the booking online. I think a credit card would be ok in many larger hotels. It might be a bit tricky in places like Chiang Dao though. The places i'm staying at here probably won't take any card.
@@WalkAboutWayne I've heard that some hotels require you do show a credit card when you check in, even if you've already payed online. Maybe it's just some of the more expensive hotels.
Hi Wayne, i fully agree with you Chiang Dao looks like my kind of town to. i grew up in a village and our town can be walked around in under an hour so yea i kind of like the vibe there and the night market looks real cool. Where did all them people come from lol .
It's got that small town feel but has everything here. I'm from a small town also mate, so Chiang Dao would be perfect for people like us. I don't know where all those people come from mate haha. I was shocked.
Nice one Wayne. I actually saw some other farangs there in your video. Must be as rare as hens' teeth around there. Noted that wearing masks by the majority of the Thais is still in vogue. Surely they should be finally being weaned off of them by now. Very few people wear them any more in Sydney Oz, mainly the frail/elderly and Chinese people. Stay on the road man if you can. It certainly appears to have coincided with channel growth for you. Its a win win bobby dazzler. Cheers man!!
Cheers mate! Yeah, i think Chiang Dao has quite a few older expats who live here and a lot of backpackers pass through to see the cave and mountains. Sadly, i'll have to head back to Chiang Mai after this, but i already have the next trip sorted. Thanks mate.
Football...I think the Jacksonville Jaguars àre the U.K's favorite team. They played there, I think. And there are amateur Am. football teams there. I scored a touchdown at my H.S. But then broke my leg the next week. Fibula and tibia. No doctor or ambulance. They tore up the bench for a splint. Then 7 miles to the hospital in a station wagon . Much pain, but skin wasn't broken,.So no infection that could cost the leg or life. My mom said no more football. I agreed. But played rugby years later in California. Mostly 2nd side. But Got to play Tonga with the 1st side once. We won and after the game a Tonga player said , "Good game hooker". I want that on my tombstone. I get funny looks from people here. But you understand.
Many NFL teams play at Wembley in London. We do have some teams here yes. Sounds like a nasty injury with the leg mate. Hahaha i was believing you played rugby for a while then.
