I test drove this today and it was amazing... I didn't really expect much from the pictures, but when I opened the door and stepped in I was simply shocked. I drove one with the Tech package and it felt very luxurious. The 19'' wheels and sleek lines really made the car stand out. The LED headlights are also striking.
I drive a 2015 Azera and I am really impressed and happy with my purchase. You get a lot of car for the money. I haven't had any issues and the mpg that I average is 23- 24 in town without even trying. The car moves! The power and transmission work well together. It's not lacking in power. Those who say that there isn't enough power (293hp) must be accustomed to daily driving 500+ horsepower. The tech is all there. The ride is comfortable. And the biggest factor is that there aren't many on the road.
We own a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.3L 4WD. Seven trouble-free years, it has been a fabulous vehicle and still is. It's the car that has lasted us the longest with the least problems and we've owned many Toyotas/Nissans. We are planning on buying another Hyundai in the next year.
Spot on with your review. Thanks you. I bought an Azera with the Tech package and your review was fair and accurate. For the price, the car offers more than one would imagine. I don't mind the nameplate; I just consider myself a forerunner for when the rest of the car world realizes the positive changes Hyundai has made.
We looked at this vehicle at a local car show recently. My wife and I were very impressed with the car. Haven't taken it for a test drive . . . yet, but it is a nice car for the price.
I just bought a 2013 Azera yesterday. It's used with 55k miles on it. Which I dont think is bad considering 8 years old. I was wondering how other people felt regarding the life of the vehicle and if they noticed any majors issues and if so when they occured. I hope to have this car for many years before possibly upgrading to the Genesis. Right now very happy with the comfort, ammenitys and driving.
Welcome to the Azera Club! I bought my Azera one month ago. This is absolutely the best new car I've had -- and it's a 2012. It had 41,900 miles when I got it and is like new inside and out. I did a ton of research and bought this car without even having sat down in one or even seeing the inside of one other than pictures and video. The reliability rating is excellent. Hyundai poured quality into every inch of this car. The company spent over half a billion dollars for design on the 2nd generation of Azera and it shows. It drives great, rides great (except a little rough on big bumps thanks to the 19" low profile tires... not much tire to help absorb the bump), and runs great with plenty of power. Don't you love the feel from the solid sound and feel of the doors closing to the super smooth glide as soon as you start rolling? What has your experience been like so far, Dan?
I just bought a red one of these yesturday. OMG let me tell you, everyone's head turns and it's the most amazing car I've ever bought. Also the first BRAND NEW car I've ever bought.
Great review - actually considered the new Lexus ES and Avalon, but after actually driving them and looking at Azera reviews...decided on the Hyundai. I'm positive I made the right choice. Avalon seats were horribly flat and hard, so support and the dash just looked weird. The Lexus ES...well, lets just say Lexus should be embarrassed...I was expecting sooo much more. Previous versions at least rode decent. Complete disappointment. Way to go Hyundai and thanks again for the great review!
I'm Korean and I apologize for his behavior. For some reasons Koreans like to whip out statistics to "prove" that they're somehow better than everyone else. I enjoy your videos, keep em coming!

I have a 4 cylinder Saturn and I can usually get about 320 miles on a tank before the gas light comes on, which is about 12 gallons burned. Of course I normally fill it up before then, but it is rated to get 390 miles per tank, which is 15.5 gallons.
Everyone agrees that the Koreans have done a remarkable job with regards to almost all their automobiles. Kia, Hyundai, Ssanyong, are now excellent cars. They get high marks for improving them to the point where their sales are now world class. As far as the United States goes, they have had their problems. BUT, FORD is now doing a great job, with GMC and Chrysler making major improvements as well. The fit and finish on U.S. cars is up quite a bit. They still need to do more, though.
Ah, you've read me COMPLETELY wrong, Taeguen. This is an excellent car for the money. Hyundai and Kia are doing a remarkable job. I'm old school. I'd shave the emblems off ANYTHING. As far as talking crap about American cars? Go troll somewhere else, because this ain't the place. :)
Great car and a great review. I really like that you start doing longer reviews now, You should keep the in this lenght, if you ask me, Almost forgot, when will be the next Hangout?
People, there is an reason why their cars are cheap, and their warranties are long. They are not on par as far as material and engineering in the same segment. They are nice alternatives to quality cars that are becoming more and more expensive. Just don't expect Hyundai to drive and feel like something they are not. They are very good cars for going from point A to B, and that's about it.
I have had my azera for over 5 years never had a problem with it except changing the battery. I have had my Mercedes GL450 for two years and has had all type of problems. Azera is a very reliable car. One of the best cars I have ever purchased. Because things are priced low doesn't mean it's not valuable. I enjoy the azera more than the MB.
@@lynettefox4150 I've had my Azera since 2016. 88K miles.. Not one problem!!!! I work in the car business. I drive other cars and it makes me so happy to get back in mine. No comparison .
I would of been the first one to say Hyundai's got some of the worst MPG's 4 years ago. But now it is what it is and this Azera is a real competitor. People will most likely cross shop with the Avalon. And because of the Avalon name and resale value more will be sold then Azera. I love this new Azera. Hey, when I see the New Impala pushing $40K and frankly not impressed. Not best at anything.
Good car and great review. However, if yours came equipped with the Hankook tires on the 19" rims, those tires are GOD AWFUL in the slightest bit of snow. You might as well have racing slicks on them. For a front wheel drive car, it is embarrassingly bad in the snow. I just bought mine in Sept 2013 and have already needed to replace the stock tires with a winter set. I don't know how else to describe it except DANGEROUSLY bad stock tires!!!
This Azera is in a real competitive market (full size, discount luxury car). Look who's in its segment: Chevy Impala (got a major facelift), Ford Taurus, Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, and Buick Lacrosse.
I have the 2014 Azera limited and I must agree. Hyundai did a great job on the design, performance and fuel economy however the mirrors are unsafe. The manual blind side mirror are poor. The image appears further away, then it actually exist. If I knew this I wouldn't have signed off on this choice. I have to spend time getting used to the mirrors, nothing more......... :-(
Oh please....give it a rest....EVERY driver gives a quick glance over his shoulder EVERY time you change a lane, no matter what you see in the mirrors.
well, you don't like Hyundai badge, huh? then don't review any Hyundai next time. it is shame that you think Hyundai or Kia is still shit. well, they are not anymore. remember. Korea is 5th largest automaker country which is amazing. now, american car is piece of shit. you should know.

How about now?

Very elegant and modern design by the Hyundai Motor Company.
FORZA HYUNDAI MOTORS!

Great video review, Dan. Thanks a ton for adding it to your review list! I'm glad you liked it so much.

Thanks for the kind words, Ken! I just included links to the pricing info on the MPGomatic website (in the video and the description).
It's on the Jersey Shore mainland ... they call it The Bridge to Nowhere.

Lol late winter temps ranging from 20's to 40's. Our temps in the later winter range from the 60's to the 80's wish we had temps like that
Where was the opening shot of this video filmed? It's really quite a beautiful place.
So whats the 0 - 60? Scanning through 13 minutes of film is a little rough. I think it would be beneficial if you added it to the description. Thanks!
Got the SouthAmerica Export Version (only version). It ha a 3.0 V6, 6Cd changer, USB, elecxtric morros,s sunroof, 6 speed AT
Forgot to ask one question...some reviewer were concerned about the handling...how would elaborate on it?
Hyundai has come a long way. No doubt, a very nice car.
It's a shame people will still call this car crap because its a Hyundai...thing have changed people.
Excellent review...really helpful. Now i know what my next car is gonna be.
That body style is sweet!
Great review. Thanks Dan! Really enjoyed.
Cant wait to get this car this year!!!
I'm having trouble deciding between the 2013 Azera w/ tech package, and the 2013 Avalon Limited. Which do you like better?
Great car and a great review. I really like that you start doing longer reviews now, You should keep the in this lenght, if you ask me,

would you compare this vehicle to the Honda Accord?
80 was the highest temperature here last summer.

Thanks +John Green!
Isn't leather and navi standard?
Good review thanks
Thanks for the kind words!
Thank you, my brother! It's all good! :)

All summer tires are bad on snow, that's why they make snow tires. :)
Very very cool video!
Is this the last year they made them or will they continue
2016
I still have mine . Best car for the money
This Azera is in a real competitive market (full size, discount luxury car). Look who's in its segment: Chevy Impala (got a major facelift), Ford Taurus, Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, and Buick Lacrosse.
Thanks; I'll have to take a drive there as soon as I have the time...and a car ;P.

The image appears farther away in 100% of cars ever made. That's why all cars have that warning on the mirrors lol.
Oh please....give it a rest....EVERY driver gives a quick glance over his shoulder EVERY time you change a lane, no matter what you see in the mirrors.
*keep it
i remember when toyota was called crappy , when they first came over to the US.
Nice rivew
You obviously haven't driven a Hyundai recently.
В целом марка хендай очень хорошоя
