Dear Rebecca, thank you for this very informative video. But first things first: how are you feeling? Is your pain better? I hope so! I'd like to know what's the lipstick you are wearing in the video because it looks amazing! As I have mentioned several times in my comments, I'm always in search of the perfect cold red because I don't see myself flattered when wearing warm reds and, at least on the screen, the one you are wearing today looks quite cold. Kisses and hugs from Madrid! ♥️😘🇪🇦🎼💃🌞🥘
This lipstick is from Hermes. It's 66 Rouge Piment. I've got a red lipstick video coming on Monday, and it has both warm and cool shades in it. I think you'll like it!
I'm not feeling any better. I had a conversation with my neurosurgeon last week, and he's recommending another surgery. I have to have some tests done before that, so I'm waiting to have my tests done, and the results send to my doctor. I'm not sure when surgery will be, but I hope it's before the end of October. Thanks for asking. I appreciate your kind words. I hope things are cooling down in Madrid, and you're able to enjoy some time outside without melting. Enjoy un cafecito for me at your local bar.
@@thelipstickgal I'm so sorry to hear that the pain is still there. I hope this time your surgeon can make that situation change forever.
My prayers and my best energy are with you, dear girl! And about the COOL red lipsticks (not "cold" unless I put them into the fridge😂😂), the gorgeous one you're wearing today looks the
kind I like, but for the name of the shade it must be more warm than cool in reality. Anyway, it's amazing on you. In Madrid the weather has started to change nicely and now we are enjoying a real autumn and the temperatures are perfect to have a walk and a cafecito in any terraza (21-23° C). I hope some day you can come back here and enjoy the city again! Muchos besos y abrazos!♥️♥️♥️😘
@@thelipstickgal I’m so sorry to hear of your pain, you are a trooper and I can not image what it must be like. As an aside, I lived in Alcalá de Henares for three years and stayed in Valencia for a short while. Spain holds a special place in my heart. Hearing you and Rosemarie speak of cafecito made me yearn for it. Estás en mis pensamientos y oraciones. Ojalá que ustedes pasen buenas noches.
@@Stephaniepephani Thank you, Stephanie!🌞🌞🇪🇦
Hello, get well soon! BTW is the lipstick a satin or matte? It is absolutely stunning on you!! Glowing skin, ooh la la!@@thelipstickgal
You didn’t NEED it……..bwahahahaha! How many times have I said the same.
I have been re-reading The Walking Drum by Louis L’Amour. It is a swashbuckling adventure set in 12th century Europe. Thank you for the recommendation of Running with Sherman - I am going to pick it up.
Running with Sherman is such a delightful story. I loved hearing about his recovery and learning to become a donkey with his own pack. Such a wholesome story. I hope you enjoy it.
I don't know how many times I've said "I don't need it" but end up with it anyway. Shopping is my weakness. Thanks so much for making the time to watch today. Have a fabulous weekend.
I have one of the Dolly lipsticks with a similar packaging problem plus the bullet broke 😡 I was recently traveling with it and got stuck in security because it wouldn’t open and they thought it was pepper spray. I contacted customer service and they asked for a video but I have been too lazy to do that yet. I have the darker plum shade and I liked it but it doesn’t stay on long.
Hello! You look very lovely with gorgeous curly hair and red lips! My fave September discovery is the Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Concealer! The only dry(very) area on me are under my eyes! Everywhere else is oily! Oh, what fun and expensive to figure out the right skincare and makeup for me! This is the BEST EVER to diminish the discoloration without setting in the creases and fine lines!
Have a great weekend!
@@MiriamRoquiz oh, I've heard mixed reviews about the Westman Atelier concealer. I'll have to take a look at it again. Sounds like it's the perfect concealer for you. 🎉
You look beautiful!
@@Esther_1223_SD thank you so much!
I have been enjoying ND I need a Warm because it's just warm enough without being too warm on my cool toned skin.
@@phyllidaacworth5212 yes! It's exactly what I want from a warm toned palette. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Oh I love your list 😀love your activity favorites as well 😀, favorites for me this month have been a black bean, veggie and kale enchilada casserole with pumpkin sauce I’ve found from a local takeout place this month and it’s delicious followed by a caramel apple toasted oatmeal fruit bar that a local bakery is making for fall , finally getting to wear my favorite fragrance of the year Flowerbomb nectar, getting to pull out my favorite fall lipsticks and blushes, the lipsticks are Lisa Eldridge affair, spirited away, and enchanted; the blushes are Pat McGrath electric bloom paradise Venus and love struck, and my favorite activities this month has been getting back into morning and late afternoon walks through my neighborhood since it as to hot here since mid June through August 😆
@@megdvs21 those enchiladas sound amazing, as does the bakery bar. 🤤
I've been hitting the matte lipstick really hard and I'm craving bold lips and nearly bare eyes. I'm starting to reach for my LE mattes a lot.
Thanks so much for watching today. Have a fantastic weekend.
I’ve been reading historical fiction from Shana Abe, the first one about Belle Huntington and now “The Second Mrs. Astor”. Really enjoying her writing and highly recommend!
@@mysticmom I loved The Second Mrs. Astor. I haven't read the one about Belle Huntington, but I'll have to look for it. I read sorts of books, but historical fiction is my favorite.
I’m very curious about the tirtir foundation - stylevana has a sampler to help find the right shade that I plan to get - it seems like a lot of other content creators struggled with shade matching , looks like you didn’t which is great! September flew by but I’m enjoying the new season of only murders in the buildings (also on Hulu - that and the Bear are so good!). I’m in a “bold lips simple eyes” frame of mind this fall, so excited to dive into deeper colors and liners and finally get over my fear of bolder lip colors!
@@BrendaBostonGirl I ordered the wrong shade of the tir tir too. I ordered N20 and ended up getting a second one of N13. It's a near perfect match. I really like it, but would love to have these available in store. I'm curious to try the other formulas.
I need to catch up on only murders and the bear. I love those shows! I'm in full fall makeup these days. Bolder lips and lighter eye makeup.
September has been a tough month. My 5 year old started kindergarten and it was a lot of emotions and fatigue but I think now, a month in she is doing really well. I read the book “The Postcard” which is a modern day story about a Jewish family in France learning about their family history. Heavy and sad but so well written. Happy Fall!
I remember dropping my kids off for the first day of kindergarten. It was such a hard thing to do. Thankfully their teacher was amazing, and always had a fun and full day planned. I needed my own support at home. Sending kids to school for the first time is so hard. I completely understand.
My youngest started high school this year, and that was a different type of milestone. I realize my kids are just a stone's throw away from being grown up and independent. Enjoy these grade school years. They're amazing.
I'm going to look for The Postcard. Sounds like a book I'd enjoy. Thanks for the recommendation.
Ooh thank you - I've been eyeing Mojave for awhile now. Glad to know it works on fair skin! (adds to basket...)
@@stefanieplumley4955 I hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤
Love those Hourglass blushes. I have Scene and Future. Use one of them almost every day.
@@hbarlaam it's such a stunning formula. I'm so glad I picked it up. Glad you're enjoying them too.
Hi Rebecca ! Don t know who Betty is but I definitely love her ! 😂
@@virginibab7709 😂😂😂 apparently so do I.
Hello! First, I hope you whatever protocol you have to go through makes you feel better. Ty for continuing to post great content despite the health challenges!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏👏More reading is on my to do list . I am behind but that's going to change soon as I wont be working as much! (Ok by me as its pt which has developed into a few more hours...not complaining but😅😅😅😅😅).
@@marybonome9279 thanks, RUclips is what I do for fun. It brings me joy. The minute it stops bringing me joy, I'll stop creating content. For now, I'm very happy doing this.
I have a few books on my shelf that I need to get to, but they're not audio books. Audio books are great for when I'm doing household chores, running errands or crocheting. The minute I have to sit down and turn pages, the books pile up. I'll have to carve out some time this fall for a book and a giant mug of tea. ☕
@@thelipstickgal ps I sent you a note in error earlier re: to skin care products. I have since deleted. My apologies- super embarrassed!😚🤣
What is your favorite powder for under the eyes? I struggle in this area for sure.
I love the Pat McGrath powder, the RMS, and Beauty Pie's One Powder Wonder in Uberlucent Universal. Before the reformulation, I would've said the Givenchy Prisme Libre powder, but I can't recommend it right now. I hope they go back to the drawing board and fix the problems with it being too radiant.
Those are my 3 most trusted. Oh, and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. LOVE that one too!
@@thelipstickgal you are so sweet to take the time to give me a solid explanation. I really appreciate it. 💖 I also love the Givenchy, but know I’ll have to find something else after the reformulation.
I think Rosebud sold out too.
@@meggmegg6656 ooh, maybe that's why I'm not getting my replacement. 😥
My favorite thing today is I am well. I was sick for two weeks. I binged cooking shows. I started reading Pride and Prejudice. I haven't read it in 30 years. I ordered the Gourmande Girls Haunted palette. It was on sale for $19.99. Couldn't resist. I have been burning some fall candles. Just resting. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ❌️ ⭕️
I'm so glad that you're feeling better. I hate being sick. I re-read Jane Eyre this summer. One I hadn't read in about 25 years. It's so good to revisit favorite books. Time for me to light my fall candle and enjoy my 2nd cup of coffee. Thanks so much for watching today.
