    He performed very well against Paxman... If only he matched his rhetoric against savage cuts with what he delivered in government.

      He vetoed billions in cuts which people forget and the Conservatives imposed all the cuts he vetoed after the next election. He was a minority in a coalition don’t let Cameron off the hook.

      @@henridobbs2423 Sure, but that doesn't change the fact that he was complicit in the introduction of the bedroom tax and the devestation the welfare system. In his book, Nick Clegg discusses how he made compromises with the Tories on cuts, such that they would let them pass some of their own agenda; so what we got was a referendum on a bastardised version of Proportional Representation that David Cameron summoned all his right-wing media influence on to destroy... and not much else.

    After watching The Cameron Years (2019), I was surprised how scathing Sir Nicholas William Peter Clegg was towards David William Donald Cameron. I would have liked to see more of that sort of thing.
