I treated myself on my birthday this year too with purchases. I ordered a bunch of things that had been on my various wish-lists (let's face it, most of them were books or book-related). As the packages were delivered to my house, I slipped them out and without looking, wrapped them up as presents. On the night of my birthday I had a private little unwrapping party - gifts from myself to myself. I had never done that before.

🧁I always picked the De Young Museum in San Francisco. Some one tore down the beautiful victorian museum and put up an ugly modern block of a place. My soul weeps everytime I think about the old building and the new. I physically feel sadness. It is like cutting down a tree. Same feeling Happy Year to you.
