To those not in the know: He's actually playing live with a modular synthesizer. To fully appreciate the technicality of this set, you should know that all those wires are connecting different sound generating modules. Most of them would make squeaky, unpredictable noise. Getting them to do WHAT YOU WANT requires not only complete mastery of each separate module connected with the wire, but full understanding how that mesh of cables should connect between different sound sources to create something melodic, instead of "cat being tortured" screams. So, doing that live - you HAVE to know exactly what each does and what sound you're after - otherwise you'll get unpredictable noise (or nothing). Millions of possibilities, most of which would result in chaos. He keeps them in order. All those DJs touching the Hi/Mid/Low EQ knobs and flailing their hands in the air? How cute. This guy is not just a musician, he's an incredible master of this instrument - on par with any maestro of classical instrument. Incredible performance.
@Robots Robots well said! he is partly a machine himself i think! I've been lucky enough to be on the same bill as him in Australia, and apart from his super musical talent, he's an absolute gentleman and eager to encourage those who are passionate about what they do. I rate him very highly as a human as well as musician just off a 15 minute conversation, you can tell music/art is everything to him.
Yeah he definitely is. I've been following him for nearly 15 years now, and he's consistently put out great electronic music and not release 2-3 tracks then fade into obscurity like some. One of the best indeed.
I admire Sébastien and love his passion and dedication but I can't sit here and let you critique other djs that are mixing records (not playing a live set). I mean he (Sébastien) mostly does play with cdjs and this was an exception so you can't minimize the other "classical" ways of mixing records like that. What he's doing is very very technical I admit, and you have to basically learn your machine by heart but when you go see a dj, you won't be looking at their hands or what they are doing, you'll be listening to what's coming out of the speakers. The true essence of a DJ is his capacity to make a room fall in love, whether it be with turntables, a laptop, a modular synthesizer or anything else really. So please don't denigrate other artists because they are doing something that might seem "easy" to you. Hernan Cattaneo plays exclusively on cdjs and i truly believe he is the most amazing artist our scene has seen. He chose that way of playing and believe me when I tell you that when he plays, you fall in love with him for the whole duration of his performance (which ususally lasts about 6 or 7 hours).

This is set is pure art! Last month i was with my best friend, we were on acid and we put this set and it was mindblowing, this man is a genius, thank you and thank you Cercle! This is pure life, pure art...
In my view, the musical sequence from minute 35:00 to 40:00 transcends mere sound - it feels like a portal, a threshold to a parallel universe, perhaps even a channel through which contact with extraterrestrial life could be achieved. Each time I hear these tones, a shiver runs down my spine, and a deep resonance stirs within me. This video is a testament to the immense power that profound music can unleash, especially in a place as awe-inspiring and mysterious as the Pyramids of Giza - a site that continues to baffle and intrigue humanity to this day. The entire performance is, without question, one of Cercle's most extraordinary productions, a dazzling fusion of artistry and atmosphere. My deepest gratitude to Sébastien Léger for crafting such a singular, transcendent musical experience.
This was my introduction to Sébastien Léger and holy crap what a first impression it was! I can't help but returning to this set every week while at work. I'm especially in love with the last song of the set. Gives me all kinds of feelings and it for some reason makes me want to just go out for a run, and I'm definitely not a runner! I just never want it to end, and the way it's paced just keeps giving me goosebumps and I can't help but smile all the way through it. Thank you, Cercle for arranging this and all of your amazing productions, and thank you Sébastien for an incredible performance.
I want to know everything about the creation of this sorcery. The pyramid views are awesome, but I want to know every decision-making process behind what Sebastian is doing in terms of choosing which buttons on that magic box to twist and turn; how much is planned vs created in the moment, etc. I also want to know everything about the creation of those epic pyramids. Always been obsessed. This is an overall amazing production. Wow. The sounds sound SO GOOD in my headphones. So rich and so much depth/dimension. The quality is immaculate. The music-making is superb. The video is stunning. This is art, dudes.
Had never heard of Sébastien Léger before I ran across this Cercle video by accident, and... damn. I am *MADLY* in love with this set. Just can't get it out of my head, keep hitting repeat and coming back to it again and again, day after day... *Love* seeing him getting totally into his own music, dancing & vibing to the max! And the scenery & camera work is fantastic too. Huge thanks to Cercle for making this happen & of course to Sébastien for working the magic :)
Unbelievable, the music, all the tracks, the mastery of the dj, and the place!!! a great piece of history, beautifully and in detail filmed. Thanks Cercle, that is art!

for Real tho... Rarely do I get to encounter someone who is a genuine Artist such as he and to be able to watch him practicing his craft and communicating w/ the world through his art is amazing...
After thousands of years, something magical is hapening in that place.
Some really high vibrations. Thank you=)
This was my introduction to Sébastien Léger and holy crap what a first impression it was!
Agreed!!
you're definitely high writing this!!!
I feel you
look into modular synthesis. most of it looks live and it was probably rehearsed. im sure some of it was also a bit of improvisation.
@@AlexLopez-bu9iv thank you! I am definitely going down a rabbit hole to learn more about this.
Amazing sound, beautiful visuals. Sébastien rulezz. Breathtaking
Unbelievable, the music, all the tracks, the mastery of the dj,
and the place!!! a great piece of history, beautifully and in detail filmed. Thanks Cercle, that is art!
Bom dia 🇧🇷
Always kept some of his wax in my record bag when I used to play out. I have always been moved by his music but this is an absolute masterpiece and just solidified him as one of the greatest!!

This version of lanarka makes my cry, it's so beautiful
does it make you feel nostalgic too?
My god that last track takes me somewhere love it and the way it's mixed perfection!!!

Ohhhh my dear, I’m 42 years old. That knights of the jaguar rmx at 01:02 brought me to early 2000’s to mt early twenties. This track is still amaze me. Merci beaucoup Sebastién
Fierce. I'm sure the Pharaohs are rocking in their sleep! Sebastien's music does justice to those magnificent Pyramids. Thank you for making it happen.
These melodic grooves are just fckn delicious. Love the way artists made them bests performances when cercle put them to make magic, long live to the music ♥️🎵🙏
I always thought Sébastien's melodies sounded 'egyptian', this location is so fitting!
@@Pifla very interesting. I was mainly getting that vine because of the phrygian dominant scale being used
Still one of my favorite sets ever!
Saludos
My all time FAVVVV 🎉 thank you Sébastien for changing my life ❤️
for Real tho... Rarely do I get to encounter someone who is a genuine Artist such as he and to be able to watch him practicing his craft and communicating w/ the world through his art is amazing... Its like watching ppl looking @ my paintings and seeing them feeling what I was trying to say how I express myself w/color. I absolutely Love this man...
Incredible and magical sounds. It is like a worship to the Gods of Egypt
❤😊
JAGUAR!!!!!!!! DJ Vibe, from Portugal ;)
Thank you both Cercle and Sébastien Léger for giving us memorable music to go with the memorable remote locations. Not the first time I've watched this and won't be the last. Awe inspiring every time. Thanks for brightening the world
1:13:30 This part is pure magic. Close your eyes and feel the desert breeze.

If something kept me going during quarantine, that was Cercle's gigs
Currently revisiting this set for the 7th time. Can't get enough of it, its just so good!! Keeps me grooving to end the work day
This man is awesome, when you listen to this set you will understand why he is performing at this sacred place. His beats are heavenly!!
Open the pyraminds tomb so that the Pharos can join the party !
If 2020 humanity could send 1 person back to the time of king khufu w 1 suitcase of stuff, I’d be fine it it was Seb with his dj stuff to have a concert for all the Egyptians in Giza
Please let me know what you think
@
Hi ! Love and Peace from planet earth @ FB Page Mathieu Peccoud ❤💖💉🙏
Ha ha just what I was thinking, great music, but no people, all is dead only sand. Raise the dead they will dance, we need help from a Underground Deep-Tech Station. Follow the white rabbit Neo 🐇😁🙏
I don't want to ruin the joke, but actually, there were no mummies ever found in a pyramid.
I'm truly in awe are this entire thing. The setup. The videography. The music.
The talent is just too much.
Going to see this guys live in december.
I am truly mesmerized by the beauty of this set since I saw it. It has wonderful harmonic and visual moments. Congratulations to the Cercle team for this production in such an incredible location and to the great Sebastian Leger for this dreamlike, magical and mystical musical set.
The frenchs and the Pyramids. A Love story.

I feel like I should pay 💰 for such a lit set. God damn Cercle, you’re a legend!
Lenarka is a literal perfect song. Glad I got to see him finally at club space in Miami
"Jaguar" is the best song ever, give me chills every time.
Fuck yeah, crazy track
Imagine Stephan Bodzin and Sebastian B2B, each with their own equipment and style. Would be next level!
Christine 💋♥️🙏
Music+Scenery+Drones+Edition+Interview= Prodution. It's the full package !
