What I'm most curious about is if the stuff from BotW+DLC would transfer over to this game since it's just the same overworld now with a continuation from the last game. Would be cool in itself to not start out 100% fresh again and have some of the stuff you had in your inventory along with not needing to possibly repeat some side quests.
I think this is awesome the fact that you can spend hours just combining things is the kind of freedom and fun only video games can provide. I know you miss the old stuff PBG but I think it's better to make something new. I mean we can always just replay the old Zeldas
Very interested, the new fusion mecanic will make the durability mechanic less of a pain while also making way for many more ways to play. I feel like i won't be doing a ''keeping it forever just in case'' as much in this game because fusing stuff seems funny. also, korok with a backpack, absolutely adorable.
im afraid the game is going to be too similair to BOTW because it uses the same map which im am not a fan of and i really hope the game is a lot different.
I know a lot of people were kinda disappointed they didn’t show the world off, or give detail on dungeons, etc. but personally I’m so glad they’re going further down the sandbox route. The exploration isn’t just the world anymore, it’s also in the mechanics, and that’s SO cool to think about in terms of possibilities
They did actually show off the underground area in the first Zelda trailer back in 2019 So it's obvious dungeons may come back since we're also obviously going to visit the sky sky so why not the underground too? 🤷🏼♂️
I mean... I'm a lot less interested in this game because I never liked sandbox games where building stuff is a primary game mechanic like this, so it's definitely targeting a different audience than the sort who would prefer a more conventional Zelda game.
The fact that the new mechanics seem like an extension of what people were trying to do in BOTW and not just some forced gimmick make me really excited for this game. They took the BOTW formula, improved on it where needed, and (hopefully) didn't go overboard with changes.

I didn't notice this in other reactions but when the rock was fused to the shield the attack went up by one. Maybe this means there's going to be combinations so that more than just the savage lynel shield can deal damage.
Fusing items looks sick. I bet there is gonna be some super busted combo that uses the stick or something else silly. Cant wait tp see speedruns of this too :D
As someone who only got into zelda games through BOTW, I'm so excited for this game. And since I never cared for the earlier games, I'm not disappointed that they aren't bringing back the old dungeons
I was one of the people who was kind of disappointed by the showing. But watching Peebs get so genuinely excited about the idea of “Wooden ballistic missiles” kinda made me come around.

Not only was I thinking of stupid stuff to do with the fuse and ultra hand but also the stuff for the hacking video like no fusing limit or fuse a lynle and a turnip to an axe
I'm curious if botw's rune abilities like stasis, bombs, and that ice one will make a return, or if the new ones like fuse and recall will replace them. I imagine they will return since totk is building off of botw, but who knows. I'd also love to see the return of dungeons and dungeon items like the hookshot, boomerang, spinner etc. Getting the dungeon item was always exciting because it opened up new possibilities in the dungeon and world. Botw is cool, but it feels like you have most of your equipment unlocked from the start (stasis, bombs). I'd like to see more of a progression. Maybe you start with 4 runes, and later on in the game you get more runes, or you get items like the hookshot. There are lots of ways to get around in botw, but imagine the possibilities with the hookshot and spinner.
I think it’s still quite possible that we’ll have something a bit closer to traditional dungeons…traditional items however…yeah that seems significantly less likely…
They're making it come across like mostly limitless combinations of items that will each have unique uses/features. In reality there will probably only be a few features that can be attained by combining a large amount of items. Won't be nearly as impressive
This looks so sick! I want to play it right now, but it's like $70 (I think it would've cheaper if I pre-ordered, but I wanted to wait and make sure there weren't any serious bugs/glitches)
