I don't think gems stack with the same enchanted stat increases. I used tiny feather on and armor piece that already had weight reduction enchanted and the gem did not change the items weight any further. Something to consider when putting gems into your weapons and armor.
Could also for health Regen use a thistle ring, the damage ring and have all your gear have heal when damage taken. This way you don’t need to over stack on armour. I preferred rolling for lifesteal on the weapon also rather than a white. Blue gem in the helmet and frost swing also is more fun on the boss as he freezes and staggers so you get a double stun.
Nice build! But there are something Im not sure about: Stacking different elemental damage on weapons only seem to do the one that was applied the most recent, so the electric enhancement rune overrides the cold dmg on the sword. And second, in my testing Fierce Rings doesn't increase rune damage, only weapon damage. Much testning needs to be done ^^ Love the builds you've made so far, keep em coming!
You are correct, stacking different elemental damage runes seems to override the effect with the most recently applied buff. I missed noticing this. I appreciate the heads-up. Also, I was unaware that Fierce rings damage only applied to the weapon damage instead of the rune damage on the weapon.
Actually I'm pretty sure fierce ring damage bonus just doesn't work. Weapons don't have a damage range. Hitting something with and without the ring, I see the same number. Tested with elemental and physical weapons, no change.
Someone said that the dmg boost on rings doesn't work, not sure though. Would be cool if those training dummies north in the city could display dmmg numbers
Yes, I also wish the training dummies showed damage numbers. This will make it a lot easier to test builds out, and track the effects of specific passives on armor and weapons.
Hey man, just here to say i tested rune damage scaling with cheat engine and i can confirm that basic stats like strenght does not add any damage on runes (i tested Throwind runes), it scales only on weapon damage. (the test was simply removing points to strenght and see the damage with the Cold Throw rune in a Claymore vs the same mob and the damage is 116 no matter the strenght stat). Ps: i said that here because we have basically the same build only element change
Awesome info there. Much appreciated. I had no way to test this on my end. I really hope they allow the training dummies in town, show damage numbers. Will make it easier testing passives on armor, weapons and rings, easier. It also appears that a good number of passives currently do not work in the game (well, based on their text description), which is a bummer. Hope they fix this too.
Very well done. I am glad you showed us the build and then explained :D in the other viedos I had to skip the first part and see whether I like the build or not and then I watched the explanation. :D I am not gonna copy your builds but I am so glad there is someone showing the possibilities of builds and I love the game even more. I am currently maxing my first character, completly simple - 2H hammer Armor build focused on big attack dmg. But after defeating the echo knight I am gonna try some experiment like you do. Thanks! :D :) Are there any other ideas you are working on? And btw how are you leveling so many characters in such a short time? Any video for fast lvl maxing?
- Thanks. I took feedback on my past videos to instead show the build in action first before showing how the build works. It has made the build video a lot better in terms of pacing. - You are free to use any of my builds. I will be delighted if people are freely using my builds. The builds I make is for everyone to use and enjoy. - I am currently working on a 'Blood Knight' build that used thorns. It makes fights hilariously easy as you won't even have to attack. It's a fun lazy build, lol. - I am leveling characters using exp rings, exp passives on armor, exp potions as I get them and the crucible. It takes a few hours to level up a new character. Hoping a respec option is added pretty soon to the game. I might make a video for leveling new characters up fast.
Thanks. It is a fun build that gives you the survivability of a tank (High armor:984 and elemental resistance), the evade (evade combo rune on 2hander) and mobility of a mage (Blink), and the high damage output of a melee character (high strength attribute with a 2hander) with a ranged melee option (Fire throw).
@@robiplays this is why I play games like this. I'm not much of a create my own build guy, I'm more a follower. I'm a super casual gamer though, so I appreciate following people that find these builds out for me. That's my excuse anyways 😂
@@GunKaraka I love games that gives the player a canvas to play with. I consider my self a casual gamer also, though some will label me a non-casual gamer. Thanks for the kind words :)
Thanks. Throw runes that I have found were either rune drops from the crucible chest after defeating Echo Knight or weapons drops that I extracted the runes from. So far I have gotten 4 different throw runes (a normal throw simply called 'Throw', a Fire throw, a Cold throw, and a Plague throw), but I am going to assume that there is a lighting throw too, even though I have yet to find one.
How did you get so much focus back using fire throw when you have only one gem with 3%? Real question. I’m low level but starting to head towards your build. I have a good Claymore but had to switch it to a wooden sword because it has 8% focus regen in hit. I tickle mobs but almost able to use it infinitely. The weapon’s damage does scale with the rune damage right?
The 'throw' runes are similar to the cone shot rune, they hit multiple times. Each hit gives back focus, so they are a good focus generator. With the 'Chipped Topaz' on the weapon giving 3% focus on damage dealt, every hit of the sword from the fire throw gives 3% focus back. Rune damage is handled a little differently. Base weapon damage scales with the rune on the weapon, but also note that only damage affixes with the word 'rune' in them improve rune damage. Example: The 'Fierce Ring' affixes, do not affect/improve rune damage, but the 'Rune Ring' affixes improve rune damage.
Yes, I level up a new character for each build since there is currently no respec method in the game. Thankfully, the Devs mentioned working on adding a respec method/path into the game.
'Throw' runes drop from very specific weapons (there are 5 types of throw runes, I have only found 4 of them so far from specific weapons which I extracted the runes from), or I assume you can also get them from the chests after defeating Echo Knight in the crucible, since the gold chest can drop runes. For example, the Ice Throw rune can be extracted from the 'Risen Blade' weapon.
Hey! good build, I have tested those dmg rings and I didn't find any dmg increase with neither skills nor normal atks, have you tested it? just want to be sure its not only me
It's not just you, someone else also did some tests and they came to the same conclusion. I wish the training dummies in town worked, because if they showed damage numbers, it would make it easier to test and tract passives on weapons, armor and rings.
If you want to keep your videos short you can use ytb studio to cut parts where you walk and nothing happens. And this is more of a Shlong thrower Build rather than a Battle Mage Build. You don't battle, you mostly hit and run 🏃
Lol, true, you mostly hit and run, but you can do close quarters fighting too if desired. I do like the 'Shlong thrower' name though. I wish I had used that name for the build.
It is, but it was nerfed with hotfix 3 a few days ago. Now you can still regen focus using the game gem, but you don't get as much as before (Used to be a percentage regen that scaled with the size of your focus pool/bar, but it was changed to a flat number). There is also a Focus regen passive found on armor, that is also currently not even working in the game.
Nice build but it seems to me more like a spellcaster mage than a battlemage, dont know .. dont know if the game has resources to make like a good melee mage too.
With the build, you can melee, and it hits hard bcos of the high strength value. It has high armor for physical damage resist, so you can get up close and personal. The throw rune is to have a ranged option.
@@ThorKchaos You put just enough points into carrying capacity to not become encumbered (Though that will depend on if any of your gear has affixes for increasing carry load or item weight reduction).
