@@goharderthanyesterday3935 Agreed. I like Capela, but there's no debating that Adams is simply a bigger dude. He can push people around if he wants. Capela has that KD body.
I think Westbrook could really fit the Rocket‘s system if he stops shooting bad shots. In OKC he didn‘t have any shooters around him, while in Houston the team is stacked with shooters. The defense needs to focus on the shooters, espically Harden, so Westbrook can either pass the ball or go for the layup/dunk with his explosive first step. I think it‘s going to be really interesting. 🔥🔥
Once westbrook gets comfortable im sure he will become a pass first and slash last type of player. He can save energy for the second half because that's where the rockets go to work. I know this.
I think Westbrook will play more efficient this season. He averaged his triple double. He got his MVP. Now it's time for his rings, he should know this and try to be a team player on a winning team.
I'm not a koolaid drinker, so I think Harden/Westbrook are a threat. They always say "will these 2 ball dominant players work?" But we already saw 3 ball dominant players work on the Thunder, they were pretty successful imo compared to people's predictions on more current pairings.

What does westbrook do? Inefficient shots at high volumes and horrid 3 pt shooting. I don't think it's the ball dominance that will hurt them but rather Westbrook's tendencies unless he changes the way he plays or improves his shooting.
@@JuanNunez-wl8bo he's not one of the best finishers. If you look at his shot chart he's pretty average under the hoop and below average from just about everywhere else on the court. If Russ can't improve his shooting i don't see how this is any better than what they were before.
Play MyGM you’ll see other weird player movements in there, also they both have the alpha dog badge and has like 95 touches tendencies so they tend to have a conflict with each other.
I paired both and with out any moves that season they won 71 games, Russ won MVP with a 25 triple doble, Harden was second to the votes with 34 points and 12 assists pg, and they won the finals, Harden finals MVP with 35 points and 12 assists, Russ almost a 29 triple doble, with no other move they killed it.
I think it will be incredibly hard to stop them both because they both usually draw a 2nd or even 3rd defender I think they both want a ring at this point and want to prove everyone wrong so will be more willing to be off ball. Also Russ last season did say "Everyone said I was a bad passer so I became a good one, now they say I'm a bad shooter so that's what I working on this summer"

When harden said “I know what we need to do and we are going to do it this summer” I think he meant get rid of cp3 as oppose to get Russ Westbrook. That said I think if Russ can play to win instead of for stats I think they can have a nice run
This is exactly what I’ve been trying to tell people hating in Westbrook. Floor spacing literally just holding russ back. We all know he’s not a shooter, but his slashing ability is definitely one of the greatest. However it the defense camps the paint anticipating the drive, russ has only two options: pass the ball or pull up a jumper where in both, the opposing team benefits. I wonder how he goes playing with capela (not a shooter).
This has been my favorite move this offseason so far. I have to admit I have hated on russell westbrook on OKC a handful of times. But for some reason a Westbrook Harden reunion in Houston is so awesome that it made me completely forget any of the hate I felt for westbrook and see all his qualities in a better way. I am rooting for lakers to win this year but won't even be mad if Houston takes it this year. Westbrook Harden is going to be a fierce duo.
If Capela would just develop his post game and get stronger the lineup of Westbrook, Harden, Gordon, Tucker, and Capela would be lethal. He is such a focal point of their offense especially with Harden's skillset that if he has an off night everything starts falling apart. But with an improved jump shot there will be miles of spacing in this offense.
