I also have O type blood...and I want to donate so badly....but they won't take mine because I have so many different diseases, mainly autoimmune, they won't take it. They say it would be too hard on my body. So, I signed up for organ donation....if any of it is healthy enough for someone else to use. Sweet sweet child, her mother, and the man who gave so much. Donating bone marrow is a painful thing to do.... so brave and kind of him! God Bless them!!!

I like in the beginning of the video when he said (after donating) "life went on...I didn't think about the other person". Then he met Sivan and saw the life he saved and received gratitude and appreciation from her mother. Seems like the enormity of his gift really hit him in that moment. What a wonderful video we got to witness. I wonder if they are still in touch? Hope all 3 are doing well.

And for her donor it was not an easy process either. It is painful and requires being in hospital. He didn't think twice about any inconvenience - he was a match and so he willingly donated to save her life.

I can't give blood as I had a PE after some flights a few years ago, and now use Xarelto blood thinners. I am an organ donor and always carry the card with me and have informed all my family members of the desire that parts of me could be used if needed.
I was a bone marrow donor and was almost a match, however it didn't happen. Make matters worse I was taken off the register my age becoming too advanced. The same with being a blood donor, owing to high blood pressure.

I donated blood and they asked me if they could profile it for bone marrow transplant, and I said yes. Never heard back from them. Maybe I should give it another try.
