I think it's better to try different brands and see what's new out there. This one looked good and it's STILL hot outside so the lightness would be welcome. Cheers Brian!
Love this review. I've been trying to get my hands on some Old Style for years now, but around my parts, I get looked at like I have 3 heads when I try to get it. Maybe someday I'll get to Chicago.
The hops I think are only for balancing purposes in these macros. Like a dash of em basically. At least that was always my interpretation. I do miss this beer, as we can’t get this out in Las Vegas. Cheers Brian 🍻
It's not the fanciest beer, BUT it tastes really smooth and satisfying when ICE COLD. It's just a shame it usually costs more than Budweiser and even Yeungling anymore in my town and most of the (liquor)stores don't even carry it anymore either. I've had more brands and types of beers and that includes homebrews, micros and craftbrews than I can keep track of and as I age into my late 40s the appeal of macro adjunct lager/pilsners deepens. Partially because of older friends and relatives drinking it and the nostalgia of griwing up in the 1980s and having almost only those kinds of beers to drink and purchase in most localities. But no matter what you are drinking on this weekend and the rest of the Summer ENJOY IT PROUDLY. cheers!
@@BrianTheBeerSnob thank you Brian and you have gained a new subscriber out of I and my dog Woofman Jack. I am momentarily having a couple of Genesee 1.5 pint sized cans and I am glad to support an American owned brewery that is one of the oldest in North America
I've surely never seen this beer in Louisiana.
I am from the Chicago area, my uncle drinks this beer among as others.
We were in Chicago last Summer for the beer reviewer get together. Git to try a lot of delicious Chicago beers. Great times!
Wow
Great review! I haven't seen Old Style in a couple of years. I thought maybe it had been discontinued. Glad to see that it's still around. Cheers 🍻!
very big here in Chicago, have it on tap in almost every single bar you go to

Thank you so much Debra!
Can’t remember if I’ve had one because if I did it was in the 90’s lol. Beer flavored beer is what I like. Cheers 🍻

@@elijahwilson1422 Thank you! I am a fan of Genesee!
Fond memories. Work on tilting the glass forty-five degrees and finish upright to build a head.
All my vids are filmed in The Hard Pour Pub. If I tilted the glass, I would be sued for false advertising. ⚖️👨⚖️
@@BrianTheBeerSnob I'd take the case!
Wish I could get my hands on this just to try it. Cheers!
Olympia gold...delicious. Have you ever tried Michelob Amber Bock?
Yes I have, and I love it!
This Guy's Thoughts posted the commercial for this brewer earlier 😀
Super! Cheers! 🍺👍
