“He didn’t say no.” Had me cracking up with my morning coffee. Great ride fellas and nice to hear your thoughts about Barry’s bike. I think that for most of us riders it would be a great one bike solo rider solution.
re that SWM I rode the same bike around Morocco, including the Atlas Mountains, and it performed faultlessly. The huge km range was very useful. Not sure what the dealer network/service is like in Oz but I'd consider buying one. Prior to my ride I wasn't even aware of SWM 🙄 Very nice video. Ah, Aussie outback. Love it 🇦🇺👍
I think the dealer support is the big concern for Barry. He’s reluctant to go too far off the beaten track until he has more confidence in the bikes reliability.
@@BigBikeAdventures Yes but turned it into more off a RS650 ( now more enduro and similar weight to a 701 . Also have a XT660 I decked out , a group of 10 off us just got back from the flinders , was GOKD . We done some pretty snotty ridding 👍😂😂😂
Awesome footage mate! The video editing is pretty good. I'm getting a 701 this year myself and live at Aratula, so we may cross paths at some stage. 👍😁
Thanks mate, if you watch some of the early videos the Crosstourer is very capable off road. Not great when it gets gnarly, it is still a very big bike
Hi Steve great video, I have a 2022 701 with the Britannia lynx fairing best mod you can do, I bought both screens and swap them depending on the ride.
You are soooooo lucky Steve to have all those dirt roads. If I lived there I’d have the CB500X instead of my CB500F. Here in Hampshire UK you have to ride miles and miles of tarmac between short “green lanes” if the buroprats haven’t banned bikes!!!!! Can I come and stay as your guest? I don’t eat much, honest!!!! JB
Hahah, it’s the drinking I’m worried about. Lol. We are spoilt for good riding although at the moment there are lots of areas that are closed off because of damage. The 500x is very popular down here. Thanks for tuning in.
Hey mate, I’ve only used the bladder once (8 litres) and dumped it into the bike at 200ks. It filled the tank, which means it should give me a range of around 450-480ks.
You can swap out the upper handlebar brace with two standard ones. Clears up the bar space for Ram Mounts etc (which is where I mount my GPS and Phone. See linked Pic: drive.google.com/file/d/1TYBGS1z5wUFO4lmfAa_8gh3pYKKHefMZ/view?usp=sharing
Have you ordered your Britanica headlight yet? If not, I have a brand new one still in the box I'll sell you. I haven't touched it other than to have a look. I've done a whole 400ks on my 701 since Feb. So unlikely I'll put the kit on, no point if I'm not even riding the bike.
Awsome. You live in such a beautiful country. Another great vlog ..
Thanks mate. We do have some great riding here.
gotta love a couple old blokes hands on hips, admiring the beauty of rocks
Great Vid Mr. Steve. Many thanks. Great views.

Three days until I'm retired. Yahoo!

@@BigBikeAdventures Thanks Steve! 👍
The goal is to hit as many back roads and as much dirt as possible. 😃
Nice ride Steve the Husky looks the goods.
Another great video Steve.love the scenery up in the New England area. On my list of areas to explore one day
Just do it, there is so much great riding in the region.

Awesome Scott.
They are popular for a reason. 👍👌
I’ll keep an eye out.
Always enjoy coming back to your videos. Thanks for yet another enjoyable vid.. great ride, how do you think the Crosstourer would handle the trip?

I brought 701 today , how many ks are you getting out the tank before you need to empty the fuel bladder

@@BigBikeAdventures good to know because my arse on that seat won’t last 400ks
😂😂😂
How do you find the height of the 701? I’m 5 ft 10 and have been thinking of getting one but they seem tall. Thanks in advance!
Barry is about the same as you and he did ok.
It’s worth throwing your leg over one.
Music is a bit heavy as a constant, just a pointer. No worries.
