it dosent effect the acceleration of the car whatsoever. it electronically tricks the ECU. How does it do that? well its simple for example if u press the accelerator by 30% the throttle controller will send a signal to the ECU which will send a signal to the throttle body that u have pressed the accelerator to a 100%. so it technically increases ur throttle response. but this will have no effect on the acceleration as u can do the same thing by flooring the accelerator. in my opinion its useless atleast in a civjc. it might be useless in performance cars.
