It's funny how many people call the kid an idiot for drinking the purple drug, like they are just under the assumption there was any other option that included that kid getting out of that room alive. Kids stuck in a room with fantasy Albert Anastasia and steampunk Dr Mengele, the only choice he has is how much taking that drug is going to hurt.
Finally! Thank you, people seam to forget that Silco said at the end of Ep 1 "...now his accomplice are asking questions, about you... and that is not a risk Im willing to take" not so subtle way of implying that Deckard was about to go "Missing" So at this point I don't think he had any other choice.
@@Newborn_God If I'm honest a worrying number of people seem to forget or gloss over a lot of the villainous shit Silco says and does.
@@troikas3353 Yeah a bit, especially latter on the show, people say that Silco is a great da... not gona finish that becuase it be a spoiler. But I dont worry about that to much, lets say negative people tend to be the loudest so I like to think that more good people are out there. ^^
Tbf Kid was on the side of Silcos cause anyways so it doesn’t take much persuasion to get him to take it

You asked about the animation style. The characters were modeled in 3D but many of the elements were digitally hand-painted like backgrounds or animated over the top in 2D. It really gives the show a unique look.
Even the lighting was manually done in 2D :)

The subject of the song is meaningful for the situation too.

I started watching this show because I saw you reacting to it and I love your reactions. I was hesitant at first because I rarely watch animated stuff plus I never played LoL, but... wow. Just wow. Arcane is on another level, I binge-watched it and now I'm obsessed!
Looking forward to your reactions now even more💙 So far, Viktor is my favorite character, but honestly all of them are great and interesting one way or another.
Honestly, every character in this series, you feel for them and understand why they do what they do. I don't have a favourite character because they're all unique in their own way.
I'm not going to spoil anything but I'll just say that I love Jinx's relationship with her "dad." You see how much he loves her and cares for her, and the amount of trust he has for her 🥺.
I did the same thing after seeing that Funnylilgal was reacting to Arcane. I wasn’t one for animation but this show blew me away.

The funny thing with Arcane is, every time you watch it you learn or notice something new. It's incredible.

The realisation of vander, just by the look at the rabbit 🐰, was crushing 🥺
The first time I watched Arcane, I though Deckard gave in and drank the drug somewhat quickly... but, even in this, they had provided his motivation in a previous scene - some scenes do double or even triple duty in their storytelling.
When he "ambushes" Vi, Powder, Claggor and Mylo - he's going beyond his instructions from his boss to just follow them - he wants to be able to exert power over others. When Vi confronts him when he's pulled a knife - he runs away. He's either a coward. or doesn't have it in him to stab someone.
His boss manipulates Deckard skillfully - he takes the knife from him, making him feel impotent, but he doesn't threaten him with it, he casts it away, and then preys on his weakness and motivation - to become powerful, able to harm others with impunity.
An amazing reaction! I love how perceptive you are in following the plot. The show doesn't hold the viewer's hand, and I've seen reactors get lost at this point.
The music was specifically written for the Show incidentally!
There are probably a couple of reasons why Powder doesn't have a gun, and I have theories: #1 imo is that guns are probably expensive or hard to find in the undercity, maybe even outright banned. Vander doesn't have a firearm behind the bar, there are none visible to me at the meeting at The Last Drop, the only firearms we have seen have been in the hands of the enforcers. #2 is that she's *A CHILD* lol. The four of them are all children, but she's the youngest at like 11 or 12, so it's hard to argue that a pubescent child would be responsible enough to own and handle a gun. That is why, to me, even though she's a good shot Powder does not have a gun to bring along on missions.
The reason the kid (Deckard) took the drug is not stated explicitly, but right after he pushes back on the idea saying "No, it'll kill me", the guy with the eye takes Deckard's own dagger and brandishes it in a "If you don't do it, I will kill you" sort of way before tossing it uselessly on the ground. That dagger was Deckard's last line of defense as shown in the fight with Vi's group, and the gang leader grabbed it so easily, making Deckard vulnerable/defenseless. He basically doesn't have a choice, because the leader will do anything in order to get that power he talks about in this scene. That conversation was all about threatening Deckard with what will happen if he does not comply, so to possibly save himself he chooses to submit and drink the purple stuff.

Wow, this video to be recommended was a real surprise for me. I watched your channel a few years ago (mostly because I loved your Pentatonix and Dimash's reactions) and then you didn't uploaded videos for some time, or it just stopped being recommended to me...
So I completely forgot about your channel and now, 2-3 years later it pops up, and suddenly I realize not only you are reacting to one of favorite tv series, you are now having lots of TV related content on your channel! What I'm trying to say, I really glad I discovered your channel again!
For this show, I strongly recommend watching behind the scenes called "Arcane: Bridging the Rift". It has five parts (about 25 min each), and the fourth one in particular ("Musical misfits") you will really appreciate I think, it tells about how the soundtrack and all the songs were made for the show (and yeah - all songs you hear in the show were particularly made for the show). You will definitely enjoy it!
there is a lot of types of magic in that universe. Arcane magic is only one of them. And the 307 yo is not human he's a magical creature called " Yordles".
Here in the show they use the word "arcane" as a synonym for magic More subtly though it's meaning of hidden or secret knowledge known only to a few runs all through the story.
It surprises me how few people realize Vi is turning herself in, so well done getting that right away.

Another 2 video game adaptation shows I can recommend watching that aren't that long are "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners" and "Castlevania".
The song at the end while a love song is bittersweet not entirely cheerful. It's hopeful that it lasts.
