Hey Megan, we all drop our bikes or fall from time to time, irrespective of how seasoned we may be. Fortunately you are riding a smaller, lighter bike so its not too difficult to pick up, wait until you have to pick up a bigger bike. The take away is that it will happen but just take it into your stride.

If you ride on this kind of "roads" the question is not IF you crash but when. Wearing good body armor normally will normally protect you sufficiently at those slow speed crashes. And you will get better and gain confidence with ever day you ride. Give it time, take it slow and relax! :-)
