No, MAB has ejection port on the left not because Marangoni was lefty handed but because it has another top tier characteristic: not reciprocating charging handle.
Sorry but the MAB shownn isn't a MAB 49 but a MAB42! The MAB 49 on the right side of the forend had an orizontal lever which the shooter pressed on order to free the bolt to run while firing. This lever was a safety measure to avoid unintentional discharge of a loaded weapon when the but hit violently an hard surface as often happened when a soldier travelled on a lorry bouncing on rough roads.
