Well it more like shifting to newer technologies rather than a conspiracy to remain DX12 exclusive. One of the big reasons this fix works well with Elden Ring is that its a game made on the same Engine as Dark Souls III, for the most upcoming games which have RTX graphics, there is a chance that these games may work with this fix but with much compromised graphics output.

Got working on bare 750gtx with this tuorial and file. Tried everything basic before this but yeah locks are tight. I was sure that my old CPU was capable of running the game. I think the reason to this practice "not to support all graphcard" is merely for the provision of stable performances. Ppl are quite mouthy and hostile when thing are jagging and lagging. Mate you are the best I can run Elden ring now the only issue I am having is that some shaders are glitching out like you know the black spots sometimes showing up and that's it if you can find a fix for that it would be much appreciated, thank you so much though for this I was finally able to play this game.

Needs one more step Change start_protected_game to start_protected_game_original. Then duplicate the elden ring.exe and change one to start_protected_game. Worked for me when I ran into the same issue
