The testing I did on other auto mode meters found that at certain levels they don’t switch when they should, test low voltages of less than 1V and see what happens 😬

Oh, good point, I didn't even think of that.
I guess if you try to test a voltage that is close to or less than the voltage applied by the meter in resistance mode, it would get confused.

It does 1vac rms and 1vdc no problem but when you get to below 800mv it is when it gets confused.
