Thanks for the review of both of these items, side by side like this. I was looking at both items, but wasn't exactly sure what the pros & cons of each were.
Thank you very much for posting this out there!! 👌
Thanks! Glad is was a good help!
Always interesting... Thanks for the video... Glad to see you again...✌
Thank you Grer!
Good to see you are back, Tony. The bench looks great! Thank you for showing us these smart meters. Regards, David
Thank you David ! Yes the Bench is slowly coming how i want it (for now) :)
Good to see a new video! I would not buy these meters myself, but very interesting to see your tests!
Thanks Peter!
Appreciate your videos always informative 👍.
I am wondering what the watch you are wearing is?
The setup is looking 🤟.. top shelf.
Thanks John! .. watch is a Garmin Fenix5 Plus. i have it many years from when i was still able to run marathons. now its just counting my steps walking :) good quality. it can cylcle and swim too
Hello. What is this black boxes with red, yellow, green and black banana terminals?

I thought I had a Kaiweets, but I can;t find it! Maybe I have Aneng clones.
Anyway, at a hamfest I bought a Heathkit IT-22 capacitor tester and a Fluke 8030A VOM. Both very clean and cheap enough. Do you have any experience with either? I know you covered two Flukes in the 8000 series before.

Hi Barry, nice finds! i don't know the Heatkit myself, i do own the little fluke 8030A have not played with it yet .. it will come on one of the Fluke friday editions.
I don't know, probably I'm just old skool, but this is just too "flashy" for my taste. And that auto-select, hmm, I don't think I would need that. The 602: The screen is big, but the half of it is used to display where the leads are + that top range/function big part. Doesn't add much information. On both, they could just display the selected function and range, instead of that big half circle pallet. That would be much technical. Now it looks just like a toy. The display has nice big contrast, but yeah, no 🙂Form-factor/size is nice though. I have looked it up, the accuracy for DC is +/-0.5% +3dig, and for AC it is +/-0.8% +3dig. Those 10 000 counts lose their meaning. For example is you have 1.000VDC (0.992 - 1.008), and 1.000VAC (0.989 - 1.011). You could just as good have just 1000 counts like 0.99 - 1.01VDC, and 0.99 - 1.01VAC. But okay, as they state on the site: "With this smart digital voltmeter, you can solve industrial, vehicle, and household electrical problems"., it is not a Lab instrument of course.
Same here :)
Nice video, have you done any reviews on Clamp multimeter(s) that can do DC amps.
PeaceFromOZ
The OWON will be coming soon.
Hello sir, I have just bought the km601s model measuring device. After I put the device on, it starts in smart mode. The probes show instantaneous resistance values as if I were measuring from a point, even though I have not touched any point, or they show values as if I were measuring AC. This situation bothered me, should I be worried??
By the way, when I touch the probes of the device to resistance - dc voltage or ac voltage, it gives correct results.
Hi, good question. that is normal.. open probe will go to resistance, as open is just as high resistance. when you touch the probes, it starts to pickup voltage from radiation or induction from the body and will try to measure that.
when you touch both probes, it prob will go back to resistance and show a few Mega Ohms
@@TonyAlbus thank you master GREETINGS FROM TURKEY
@@tayfuncoskun3051 Thank you, greeting to you too.
In your opinion, which is better and which one do you advise me to buy?
I would go for the one with the most counts (digits)
I have yet to see a "smart" multimeter that actually will do at least 90% right. At least it beeps with the diode test which is a good thing. And, as usual, the bargraph is just a gimmick since it has exactly the same update speed as the digits themselves.
i see them as Electrical testers with digits display, not for high level electronics.. Yes correct, the bar has same sampling as the digits.
For basic stuff or a starters meter its nice.
The bargraph can be useful to see quick oscillations or changes but otherwise useless. Still looks cool though.
@@jonfreeman9682 Yes but it only makes sense if the sampling from the bar is faster then the digits. on this meter that is not noticable faster.
@@TonyAlbusI don't agree. Regular pattern of changes will be easier to spot with the bar graph. Not sure how often that would actually be useful however.
Wondering what is the difference between the KM601 and KM601s ?? I have the KM601
Yes only rechargeable battery, specs also the same. i will add a link later with all 4 meters specs compared.

601s replaces AA batteries with rechargeable and adds a kickstand.
Is there a way to calibrate this meter? rM601s but also for safety concerns don’t use this meter while charging or passthrough charging it’s dangerous.
Not sure that is possible by user maybe ask Kaiweets support. For safety on high voltages maybe buy a non smartmeter from a respectable brand
@@TonyAlbus I have two other meters a fluke and Klein tools one but I just bought this one because it looks cool with the display.
@@E85_STI Yes they do look cool indeed, and the smart actualy works..
@@TonyAlbus yes it does and I appreciate your video as it’s helpful and I ask about the calibration because the kiaweets is within tolerance but it’s out of tolerance more than my other meters. I was testing an 18650 battery and fluke was 2.402v Klein was 2.400v and Kaiweets was 2.407v. The battery was dead out of a flashlight so I was doing some testing.
🙂👍
Thank you!
mH posible?
if not in the video i think No
😀❤👍🏻💯
Thank you!
