      @@johnboggs2728 I got torched when I said it a couple of years ago. Been saying it ever since. That he got into a pissing contest with his best back last year and kept him out, didn't give him a scholarship and let him leave where he had a great season elsewhere was ridiculous. Then his "premier" backs in Sawchuck and Barnes were still making the same mistakes this year as they did as freshmen.

  • @cryhwks
    @cryhwks 19 дней назад +22

    Brent should not be given another season, despite knowing that he will. The team consistently finds ways to lose under his leadership. For example, not playing X because "Sawchuk had the hot hand" X should have received more carries. DeMarco Murray needs to step aside. As a scout and recruiter, he's fine, but he should not have the authority to decide who should or should not play.

Don't go to overtime and give the defense a shot at a turnover or anything when defense is your stronger side of the ball.

I’m a BV guy and I thought it could’ve worked but you gotta win the games you need to and be competitive in the ones you lose. This season is not Indicative of OU pre-NIL football and I don’t think OU has the oil reserves or sports market to be successful in the NIL era. I think the pre and post era difference needs to be made. Mercenaries can go somewhere else and practice less hard and possibly make the same pay. Who of these and future mercenaries actually care for that logo. I bet if they did, they wouldn’t be sitting out or throwing games away but that’s just me. This bowl game by itself is meaningless. But that decision to go for two was the difference between a winning and a losing season.

    I’ve often wondered what kind of a team ou would have if they stopped stocking their teams with players from the great state of Texas! Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Adrian Peterson, Billy Sims, Brian Bosworth, Trent Williams, and Jalen Hurts are just a FEW of them!!

    Even if Arbuckle and Mateer are the 2nd coming of Lamar Jackson and Andy Reid, i just dont see how Brent saves his job next season, you watch the playoff games and watch this team and its literally like comparing Oregon to a FCS team.....cant make sense of the RB thing, cant make sense why our WRs (regardless of youth) arent running by less talented and athletic Navy DBs like their stuck in concrete, Navy has problems with uptempo, we come out with quick tempo and boom boom boom, 14-0, went uptempo out of desperation at the end, TD, the entire rest of the game we slowed to a crawl and didnt do jack shit....thats just dumbass coaching

    If OU cant get Oline, TE's, WR, LB, DE in the portal and pay to get players OU is screwed with the approach this staff is taking weekly. Mental lapses, no discipline, to much thinking. It all starts in the off season...their off season program is just as bad

    I mean not taking it to over time all on bv. I notice tho our oline couldn’t get push to save there life’s and that’s a big problem. Ou needs do and spend bunch money on the oline instead of a qb. What’s the point of paying qb if u can’t protect him or have wide receivers that can catch the ball

    Demarco and JJF both need to go. Demarco seems to have his ego in his coaching. He's not a good coach. Great player, great Sooner and maybe someday a good coach. He's not a good coach right now. He needs to have his on the job training somewhere else.

    He kicks the first half FG and punts the ball before half....then this is a different game. No WR's and the portal has brought small school. No other TE's ?? This school will be projected to finish 10th or worst in the SEC next year

    If those guys had caught even HALF those drpped passes this game would look entirely different. Obviously it only would only take ONE of those possessions to get a touchdown & the 2 point conversion doesn't matter. We also had several defensive total breakdowns so it was not all on the offense. Hawkins has a ton of talent but still found a way to get one on the carpet. But I like him. Would like to see more excitement on the sidelines from him tho.

    Two 4 th and 1 plays would’ve netted them 6 points on fg’s and like I’ve said before OU ain’t worth Zack smidt on his missed fg. That type of playing is just reminiscent of the Switzer years when he elected to go for 4 th and 1 for T.d. instead of fg and lost games. BV is 0 & 3 and continues to carry on big game bob’s strategy of loosing the games that count!
